Wonderful experience, very well organized
Prior to flying to Africa, Dickson organized me the 2 days Masai Mara Safari via email communication, and everything became as it was expected. I felt very confident with all of the arrangements that he made.
The moments in Safari Mara were excellent and the accomodation and organization of the two days were very good, without any incident.
I recommend absolutely Adventure Africa Expedition for any trip to Kenya and I would like to thank Dickson for his support.

This was my 2nd trip with Adventure Africa; as before everything from guides to safaris was perfect.
Prior to flying to Africa, both of my trips (2010, 2012) were completely organized via email communication with Dickson, of Adventure Africa Expedition. I felt 100% confident with all of the arrangements that were made. His suggestions, coordination of trips and safaris, and accommodations booked were perfect.
Places that I visited and things that I did: Kilimanjaro was climbed via the Machame route; Masai Mara National Reserve, Lake Nakuru National Park, Amboseli National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, Manyara National Park, Samburu Park, and Ol Pejeta Conservancy were toured using a safari vehicle; hiking was done in Aberdare National Park as well as a five day hiking safari in the Loita Hills; a week was spent volunteering at an orphanage in Migwani; a Maasai village was toured; and an elephant nursery and a giraffe centre were visited while in Nairobi.
Adventure Africa Expedition's staff are excellent, they know their animals, birds, and plants. They are courteous and polite. The cooks make excellent meals on safari.
I have absolutely no hesitation recommending Adventure Africa Expedition.

Trip of a lifetime
I had a wonderful trip with Adventure Africa, who took care of me and five friends for six days climbing Kilimanjaro via the Rongai route. The trip felt much more luxurious than I was expecting, with absolutely delicious food, warm water to wash, and great service. The guides were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and very supportive - we all made it to the top which would not have happened without them! Making it up kili meant a lot to us and the journey was more special than I could have imagined, thank you.

Had a breathtaking experience with my family, up to date we still find ourselves talking about it. The choice of the holiday destination was the best so far especially for a family setting. You surpassed our expectations by far, we look forward to many more tours with Adventure Africa

I had good time with family. Best customer care service. Great scenery and focus on customer needs.
Talks to you about your needs, listens to your expecations and works out a formulae to meet within your budget. The safari tour itself is very informative. The tour guides know where there is fun either for adults or children

Great experience, knowledgeable guides, good communication
We (me and my friend) decided to travel with Adventure Africa Expedition, because of the good communication beforehand. Dickson always replied the same day and could make clear what he could offer without putting pressure on us. This gave us confidence in his service. On the day of pick in Nakuru our driver showed up later than told (2 hours later), but our 7 day safari made up for everything. We saw lots and lots of animals, had guides who knew what they were doing and who were very friendly. The programme was very diverse; gamedrives in Masai Mara and Nakuru NP, cycling in Hell's gate NP, walking in Crater Lake sanctuary, climbing Mt Longonot. It was definitely the highlight of my holiday in Kenya. If you want a holiday of good price / quality ratio, make sure you think of Adventure Africa Expedition.

Conscientious attention to guests and excellent safari experience and wildlife viewing accommodation
I have booked with Adventure Africa in 2010 and 2014 with large parties (12 guests +), and continue to send guests on an annual basis to Adventure Africa due to quality of service. There is always an Adventure Africa escort/guide where-ever you go to ensure that you are well attended to.

Needs better organization/communication
I successfully climbed up Mt. Kilimanjaro last year, but there were many things I felt the company should improve on.
#1: The day they picked me up from the airport, the driver asked if I had paid for the transport. Yes I had. I don't understand why the driver would not know this. I paid for this trip as a complete package. The tour operators should communicate this. I received no pamphlet, brochure, or information packet upon arriving at my hotel. I was told to go to bed and rest and the next morning I would be given an orientation.
#2: The morning of my trek, I woke up to have breakfast and was told I would have an orientation. I was expecting a detailed orientation, but didn't get this. Instead, a man in a business suit sat down next to me at breakfast, asked if I had comfortable shoes and everything I needed. He looked at me and said, "You look fit, you'll be fine. Your guide will be here soon." I was very shocked at how little information and preparation I was getting given how big this trip was to me!
#3: My guide was very nice and very patient. However, he spoke very broken English and could not offer me much guidance other than to walk beside me. My porters, cooks, and servers also did their job fine, but I could see that other trekkers had more guidance, advice, and preparation from their guides. They all had described a proper orientation. Their guides had devices to track their heartbeat and even oxygen supply. I had nothing.
#4: After the trek, I was transported to the hotel for my final night. I confirmed that next morning I would have a transfer to the airport. Again, I was asked if I had already paid for this. Why is there such a breakdown in communication among the staff? Anyway, I confirmed I had paid, and I wanted the pick up for 8am.
#5: The next morning at 7:55am, I report to the reception desk and ask for my driver. It turns out he already left with another customer to the airport! They left without me, and the boss had to call the driver to turn back! Both the other customer and I were frustrated by this lack of communication. Again, the driver asked if I had already paid for the service.
On a good note, prior to me booking, Dickson answered all of my questions thoroughly. He asked for all of my flight details and assured me I would be taken care of. However, his high level of professionalism led me to think that I was signing up with an organized company who managed all the details. But when I arrived in Arusha, it appears they had turned over my business to locals who lacked organization, communication, and professionalism. It's a good thing I'm an overall experienced and independent traveler and trekker who managed with such little guidance and ZERO orientation. But for someone who needs more guidance, this would be a disaster. Also, you are paying over $1000 for this once in a lifetime trek. You definitely need more than something so minimal. I honestly wouldn't recommend this company unless it's to someone I know is an experienced trekker who wants the lowest budget trek and doesn't mind little guidance and organization. I tipped my guides and porters well because they work SO HARD and deserve it. They are not educated, just extremely hard workers. You read stories about the harsh life these guys have without being paid a proper wage. I did not have the heart to complain about the service for fear they would suffer from my criticism. Truly, it is the responsibility of the tour operators.
