Kruger Park 5 Day package
Very well organised with excellent service. Some areas of minor improvements would be the food catering in Kruger which can be a bit on the frugal side. But apart from that we had a wonderful time and the rangers were very good. We will use them again.

All was delivered as promised on a five day safari. Mike did not return emails, but Kylie was excell
Kylie communicated quite well. Mike answered my questions but stopped communicating abruptly after I purchased the safari.

Posted on Sep 6, 2016Good afternoon Paul,
Thank you for your valued feedback. I am sorry you felt that I left the conversation abruptly , but that is our sales process. I make first contact with the client, make sure they get the right offer and safari they are looking for and Kylie assures that we deliver on our promise to our clients.
I am sure you can appreciate the number of emails we facilitate in a day and it would just be too much for one person to handle all new enquiries and feedback to the clients.
Again I do apologize for my lack of communication but value your comments and I will strive to better on my service levels to future clients.
Kind Regards
Mike

Met all our needs...
Our trip went well to Kruger NP with a fly in safari over 3 nights. The flights, ground transportation and lodge worked seamlessly together and met all our needs. Overall, we were impressed with the coordination and quality of services provided.

Great Safari! One issue but this was sorted the following day.
We booked a 4 day safari in Kruger National Park and opted for the Panorama Route. We received full itinerary following purchase. We were so excited.
We arrived at the accommodation (Sabie River Bush Lodge - highly recommended, just 15minute drive from the park), but the itinerary did not make what we requested. Evening safari and Panorama Route was not listed. Accommodation helped us get in contact with Kruger Park Travel. We exchanged a few emails and phone calls, but was sorted the following day. We only had the Panorama Route mini version which was a shame.
Surprisingly affordable, comfortable and relaxing!
I have many great things to say about the safari that my friend and I did thru Kruger Park Travel. Our only concern and problem was that we had very little information on what was going to happen (pick up, travel times, departures). However, after a while we got used to it and had faith that everything would happen as promised. And it did! The drivers came, the hotels were lovely and the food was fantastic. We were surprised and delighted by the two different accommodations and our safari experiences. I would absolutely recommend Kruger Park Travel (and Mike in particular) but be sure to ask questions and get everything you think you may need before so you don't worry. Overall, a very positive experience. We hope to return for a longer trip.
First time and overwhelming
As a couple of 2 we booked a 4-day Kruger Park tour. We were picked up at JNB Airport, transfered to a lodge nearby and the next day transferred to the lodge next to the Kruger Park entry. After noon we were picked up by Charles (CD Tours) and were driven by him through the Park the next three days (2 day exclusively, one day with two other couples from SA). We loved his experience, driving style, "Feeling" for the places where something was to see (he was always very well informed about sights of beasts by other tour Operators). On the last day the trasfer back to the Airport was well organised (whenever the driving style of this Driver was not comfortable).
The tours were not at all what we were offered (tours early in the morning, evening tours), however due to the nice and experienced treatment of Charles we were more than happy.

I recommend Kruger Park Travel - highly they provided professional, prompt service.
We traveled as a family. It was amazing a holiday i won't forget. And largely thanks to Mike! His recommendations were excellent, and the itinerary was a great mix of adventure, animals, nature just what my family loves. We loved the tented lodge and it was such a experience watching the locals dancing..
Absolutely fantastic people working at this company and incredible value for money safari!
Can't wait for the next Trip!!

Miscommunication or misunderstanding?
Having read the other reviews I must say apparently Kruger Park Travel just had a few bad days when organizing my trips. I am happy nobody had to go thru the horrors I had experienced!
In short, written confirmation of trip details were not held and I had to pay extra to meet my expectations of private safaris, once I faced the situation. When I complained about this, the first reaction was immediately to threaten me with the company lawyer! I presented all email communications to them, but nobody bothered to give me any fair explanation of how this could have happened.

Posted on Jan 14, 2017Good afternoon Laszlo,
Thank you for submitting a review. All reviews good or bad help us to improve on our service to future clients. You are indeed correct that your trip was unfortunately one of those trips that if something could go wrong it certainly did. I believe there was a miss understanding between you and our offices in regards to your exact requirements.
We did however try our best to resolve the issue whilst you were on safari and to my knowledge your wife eventually received what she was expecting.
I am extremely sorry for any inconvenience caused by the misunderstanding but assure you it is and always will be our intention to provide clients with a full travel service that allows them to relax and enjoy their holiday with the peace of mind knowing that all their arrangements are in order.
In regards to your allegation of threatening you with our Companies Lawyer. I only indicated to you that I will defend our Companies good name and integrity even if a lawyer is required. It was not my intention to threaten you and I apologize if that is how it was perceived by you.
Again please accept my sincerest apologies as it was never our intention not to provide you the service you desired and paid for.
Best Regards

Not good
I do not recomend it to anyone. Problem is not in the camp. The probvlem comes, what you contract and what you find there. Mike send me Shiduli Lodge picture, but later spoke about Chisomo River Lodge, and my Family and me finalized in Chisomo Camp.
They are using Kuruger name!!?? I do not know why?? Kruger Park is something Fantastic; but this is an open zoo only.

Posted on Jan 12, 2016It is most unfortunate to receive a review like this as the client has not been in touch with us to complain. However that said I would like to try explain our side of the story.
The client came to see me at our offices and it was considered a last minute booking as he wanted to travel on the 27 December 2015 and he gave me only a few weeks to arrange the entire trip including flights. December is peak season and there was no availability inside the Kruger Park.
Initially the client sent an enquiry for a tented lodge and I then managed to secure a safari for him at Chisomo Lodge which forms part of the same reserve as Shiduli Game Lodge. The safari included a private pick up for him in Pretoria as well as a drop off at the Hoedspruit airport on the last day including flights back to Johannesburg.
Chisomo is certainly not in the Kruger Park and I never claimed it to be, as it is a Private Reserve near Hoedspruit. I did send the client information regarding the trip and he was aware that the booking was at Chisomo.
It is with regret that the safari did not live up to the family's expatiations and I apologise for any miss communication or miss conception the client had regarding the trip.
The lesson learnt for me is to make sure the clients understands exactly what they are getting when they book and pay for a trip.
Best Regards
Mike Swart
