Good in communication but bad in service
It is quite unfortunate that I have to be the first (an only) one to be writing such a review.
My wife and I booked two tours (Kilimanjaro day trek and Ngorongoro crater day trip) in Tanzania through them. The man in-charge, Muksin, was extremely cordial - answered my innumerous queries via e-mail before we landed in Tanzania and made me feel comfortable about the whole trip. He also came a day before the Kili trek and briefed me about both trips.
However, our actual experience during the tours was far from this experience.
1. Kili trek - The guide, Nikolas (I think that's what his name was), was completely detached - seemed more like a person who's carrying our lunch packets. Moreover, he did smell strongly of alcohol - not sure whether he had it that morning or the previous night. No real 'guidance' or information about the park or the flora/fauna was provided by him. The lunch packet had stale chicken and funny-tasting yoghurt in it.
2. Ngorongoro crater - This experience was much worse that the previous one. I specifically asked whether there were group tours available with them and they said yes. However, it seemed more like they were partnering with some other local tour guys who had their separate bookings and pooling us together into the same vehicle. At the outset itself, the information provided was wrong. We were told that we will be 4 people for the safari. It turned out that there were 6. The vehicles provided were rickety and the guides/drivers seemed to care least about it. At one point there were 7 people (a cook sitting on an ice box) in the vehicle and the whole vehicle was completely cramped.
I have rated 3 stars just for the initial communication part and because I would like to believe that the Ngorongoro trip was handled by other tour guys. Else I would've rated you even lower.
I accept that we were provided a competitive rate for our trips but we would not expect a highly reputed tour agency like you to be compromising on the quality. There is a difference in providing 'less' and 'bad quality'. For example, you can provide less number of items (of good quality) in the lunch packet but you should not provide bad quality stuff.
Another piece of advise - If you do not have a group tour available, please be honest about it. Else, if you depend on other local operators to organise/manage your customers' trips and they end up like ours, it would only tarnish your reputation.
Thanks
Vipin

Kilimanjaro 2017
It was great trip and high mountain climbing experience. We got a good team of professionals that support us during whole road to the top. Kilimanjaro was anbelivable. We ware tired but very happy that we get to the top. Also after the mountaine we lived in a nice hotel in Moshi (MountainBikeHouse). Hotel staff and services are very good. Their National meals are so tasty. We are happy that this journey was in our life. It is something that we will remember all our lifes. Thank you all for the support and the possibility to make our dreams come true!

From the Serengeti to Zanzibar
Muksin Mushi is a thoroughly likeable and very capable guide. Our study tour (13 students and faculty) focused on the Tanzanian environment and the issue of sustainability. Muksin was attentive to the individual needs of our group members and was knowledgeable about many aspects of Tanzanian life. He is bilingual in English and Swahili and can explain local customs clearly and sensitively. Our varied itinerary included a safari to Ngorongoro and to the Serengeti National Park, a hike to Materuni Falls, visits to several small villages, an interview with the Anglican Bishop of Mara and visits to two church-related schools, an in-depth look at Zanzibar City, a beach outing, and a boat trip to Changuu Island. Throughout all this Muskin proved to be unflappable and judicious--but also fun to spend time with. I highly recommend him and Homeland Adventures.

Experience of a lifetime!!
The safari was an awe-inspiring adventure. We visited Tarangire, Serengeti (3 days) and Ngorongoro Caldera. It was not only the animals that were awesome but the "National Geographic" moments were unforgettable: lionesses stalking a field of zebras, elephants playing with one another, the wildebeest migration, the leopard stalking the giraffes, etc. Our guide , Arnold, was experienced, knowledgeable and always "ready to go!" We went for hours everyday. The accommodations and service at our various locations were excellent. Everyone was very attentive and friendly. After several busy days on safari we then retired to the beaches of Zanzibar for some R & R. Beaches and water were so beautiful and Stone Town was fabulous. Muksin was the person in charge of putting together our itinerary. He did an awesome job. We were extremely pleased and he took care of every detail. All we had to do was enjoy ourselves. Even when we decided to change our itinerary at the last moment Muksin went out of his way to accommodate. It is an excellent company which provides great service at a reasonable price. Thanks for such a wonderful experience!!

Safari with Homeland Adventures
I recently had the privilege to go on safari to three of Northern Tanzania's most breathtaking jewels: Tarangire National Park, the Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara National park; all with Homeland Adventures.
The parks were beyond astounding (Ngorongoro was unlike anything I'd ever experienced) and our safari company (Homeland Adventures) made the experience what it was. The owner, Muksin, was not only attentive of our needs (I was helping lead a study abroad trip of college students) but was himself so inspired by the destinations that his enthusiasm was contagious. We saw seemingly endless species of wildlife, all of which Muksin was able to identify and provide knowledge, and some of the most beautiful panoramas on planet Earth.
Northern Tanzania is a special place rich with history, geographic diversity, abundant culture, and ceaseless intrigue. It's important to be considerate of the home culture and natural environment when traveling; Homeland Adventures helped us achieve out goal of reducing tourist impact while introducing us to Northern Tanzania in a safe, educational, and adventurous way. For anyone interested in doing a day-trip or month in Northern Tanzania, I intend on highly recommending them to Homeland Adventures.

The Best!
They did a wonderful time accomodating my group of 15. They assisted us with a 3 day safari as well as travel to and from all the places we had to be in and around Arusha over a 9 day time period. They were always concerned with our group getting the best experience as possible. I highly reccomend them during you stay in Tanzania.

Reliable, service-minded and capable.
Homeland safari did their absolute best to make our journey through the Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro an unforgettable experience, especially thanks to Kilamia, our wonderful guide.
Reception, travel, accommodation and food; everything was good.
We experienced a wildlife we have not seen before, and had a skillful guide who could respond to everything we asked for. He discovered the animals long before we did, and we got to experience the "Big Five."
We are very satisfied, and we would certainly recommend Homeland to all our friends.

Really nice 2 days safari experience & bike tour
We started our tour with Homeland Adventures with a 5-days-Biketour around Kilimanjaro area. We got many information before the start of the tour and stayed in frequent contact with the very friendly tour operator Muksin Mush. They figured out an individual tour for our wishes and budget. The tour itself was very interesting and a lot of fun with our guides Goodluck and Raymond. Thank you guys again!
We saw different landscapes, wild animals like zebras on the way and visited nice places like hot springs, Materuni waterfalls and Olpopongi Maasai village. The rides on the bike have been exhausting by 35°C but still good to handle. The accommodations were really local but what we asked for and the food the same. So you get the real tanzanian experience.
After the biketour we continued with a 2 days safari trip to Tarangire national park and ngorongoro conservation area with a 4WD. We had nice company with Jan Schulte, the tour operator from Tansania Erfahren and his family. We had a really nice experience seeing a huge amount of animals with four of the big five only missing the leopard.
We would recommend Homeland Adventures and Tansania Erfahren to everyone looking for individual tour organized by friendly people who care about the customers wishes. Anytime again :)!
Thanks Cathrin & Timo

perfect-great-excellent trip to Mt. Kilimajaro with Homeland Adventure - highly recommend!!!
Homeland Adventure is an excellent company. Everything - from first contact, picking up at / taking to the airport, the 6 days climbing up Mt. Kilimanjao, to the past/pre accommodation - was very well organized. My travelling partners and me ( a group of four) felt very safe and well informed during the entire experience.
The service was great, the food was wonderfully, the equipment perfect and our guides were friendly knowlegdeable. Our expectations were surpassed by far. Asante Sana - Muksin, Jan, Moses, Praygod, Djuma, Suma, and last but not least all the Porters- for your company during the whole trip and to the top of Mt. Kilimajaro!!!! It was a guarantee, I would book again with you.

A great private safari for a very competitive price
We had 4 free days before our Kilimanjaro climb, and decided to spend the time on a safari.
Homeland adventures was the only tour operator at the time who offered Serengeti and Ngorongoro in a 4-day package (as opposed to 5 days).
We were pleasantly surprised that the price that we paid (which was quite reasonable) gave us a private jeep with a guide and a cook and just the 2 of us. Accommodation conditions were good. Food was as good as anybody else's (it seems that everyone on safari was getting standard meals).
The safari experience was excellent! We highly recommend it.
