Amazing experience in Africa
5/5

From August 1st to August 10th this year, with the help of amazing memories safaris, our family of three completed the first African trip in an unforgettable life. Going to Amboseli, Masai Mara, Navasha, Nakuru and other attractions, despite the tourist season, the hotel room is extremely tight, Anne still gave us a better hotel, the whole communication process is patient, meticulous, very professional . Mr. Musa, the tour guide and driver who accompanied us on the 9-day journey, was enthusiastic, humorous and professional. He also taught us a local song. In just a few days, we had a profound friendship. I highly recommend this agent, and you can find them when you come to Kenya.

Great Service all around
4/5

I booked with Amazing Memories 1.5 years in advanced and coming into it, I had the highest of expectations for my once in a lifetime trip. I wanted to see the wildebeest river crossing and see animals catching prey. Although I was two weeks too late to watch the river crossing, our guide Joseph made sure we saw the Big 5 in the Masai Mara within 2.5 days. We saw 3 leopards and 1 rhino up close! The service from Joseph was top notch and he was very knowledgeable in the animals, birds, plants, and Kenya in general. He knew where the animals will move to next and ensure we get the best view points for our photos. He has eyesight like my binoculars and is consistently on the ball.
The itinerary itself was a bit confusing because it had said we were getting unlimited game drives almost every day, but it didn't seem to be the case. There are set time slots during the day that game drives are designed/organised which did not allow for as much flexibility as I expected.
Email communications in the planning stage were relatively good. We were able to change the accommodation for some legs, and add extra days to the itinerary and costs would be adjusted. They sent through an information pack which was helpful to get you ready. It would be good if they included a warning very on dusty roads, so you can prepare for it.
The buffet at the accommodations were amazing, esp Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge. Although for some reason we kept getting the furthest room from the reception area throughout the trip.
For our Serengeti leg, we got Santos as our driver from Migada Tours. He was always punctual, which I appreciated. He took us to see the lion's nest, hippo pool. We saw two leopards, one which walked right in front of our vehicle!
Overall, the package, service, organisation was great and turned out to be me and my partner's best holiday yet.

A Dream come True!!
5/5

After reading other reviews online I decided to approach Anne from Amazing Memories Safaris for an itinerary and quote which she provided very promptly. She was terrific at answering my many questions and made the whole process through to our arrival very easy. We (my Daughter and I)were collected from the International airport in Nairobi very early on the morning of our arrival and were greeted by Joseph who was to be our driver/guide for the duration of our stay. He proved to be friendly and helpful and super knowledgable of the area and the animals we were to begin seeing shortly after.
Our accommodation at the three different parks, Tsavo East - Tsavo West and Amboseli was amazing. Better than we had even hoped for. Joseph took us for morning and evening drives and we were stunned by his vast knowledge and interesting stories. He was just brilliant to spend time with.
He delivered us to our accommodation at the end of our journey in Mombassa.
We will definitely be returning, hopefully hubby can join me next time.

Fantastic Safari
5/5

Recently returned from our fantastic safari to Kenya and Tanzania. This was a customization of their normal 11 day trip, removing one stop and adding a couple nights elsewhere. Anne was very cooperative in adjusting the trip to our needs. The trip was amazing, the wildlife unbelievable. met or exceeded all our expectations. The driver knowledgeable and facilitating. We also did the Nairobi Natl Park, Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Center with Amazing memories.
My main comments are:
1) Take the Land Cruiser. It offers more room and better air flow. Neither the Land cruisers nor the mini-vans had air conditioning.
2) Be prepared for some very bad roads and longer drives. This has nothing to do with the company, getting into and out of these parks involves long drives over some poor roads.
3) Unless budget is an issue, go with the better quality lodges. The Sopa lodges were good, but even they were not consistently great.
4) Would suggest having Anne book you something other than the Amboseli Sopa or the Oldeani. The service was poor at the Amboseli and while the Oldeani was the nicest lode of our trip, we really were not there long enough to enjoy it. Fantastic lodge, but your only there for dinner and a nights sleep. You might discuss the Serena lodges with Anne. We stopped at a couple of them during the trip. Were very nice and pricing close.
5) Would suggest skipping the elephant orphanage. Way too crowded, and short time frame in the middle of the day affected the rest of the day.

Truly amazing safari
5/5

My family and I just came back from a great 5 days safari experience with Amazing Memories Safaris (AMS) in Masai Mara.
We were picked up at our hotel in Nairobi and brought back to the same hotel exactly as planned.
The AMS staff was very service minded, and they even made a stop on the way back to Nairobi allowing us to shop in a nice shopping center.
The accomodation was very comfortable and the food delicious.
During the game drives we saw more wild animals than we had ever expected including the "big five".
The driver had great skills in tracing the animals, and the first 3 days we saw a leopard every day, both in trees and on the ground.
We highly recommend others to take advantage of AMS' expertice and good service when planning their next (or first) safari.

11 days Kenya and Tanzania
5/5

The booking process was easy after selecting the safari group. We initially found Amazing Memories through Safari Bookings. Emails were answered quickly with the appropriate information. Accommodation was great – glamping and hotels and the staff friendly and helpful. Our guide Daniel (in Kenya) and Charles (in Tanzania) were amazing and put us in front of the big 5 (rhinos from afar). They shared their knowledge of the culture and the animals and we had many discussions of the African way of life. I would happily recommend Amazing Memories Safaris to take you on an incredible journey.

Amazing honeymoon
5/5

The entire booking processes with Anne was super easy, she responded quickly and took care of any questions or concerns I had. Our itinerary was customized perfectly to fit our needs and preferences. I’m so happy I was able to work with this company it truly felt like working with a close friend or relative. It was also our first visit to Africa so the bar has been set extremely high after working with this company and receiving top of the line service!!

Our Tour guide Joseph.... wow....he was truly a pleasure. He mad our trip comfortable fun and personable. He is so amazing and super knowledgeable. We will honesty come back just to hang with him again. He went above and beyond to hunt down the big 5 which we were very lucky to see!!! I don’t have enough kind words to say about him but I truly appreciate him he was amazing. I recommend you request him if you want the experience of a lifetime!!!

Our accommodations were amazing. Literally every single place we stayed. I couldn’t believe how beautiful the properties were and how great the food was and how friendly the staff were. It was truly a dream.

Thank you Anne and Joseph for helping us experience our dream honeymoon, until we meet again!!

Reliable and trust worthy travel partners.
5/5

While deciding the package and the places of stay, Anne helped us through the entire process. She was very prompt and detailed in her response which helped us communicate in a better way. We had taken a flying package to Naboisho conservancy and the price quote for the entire package seemed better than the price quote of other travel/tour operators. From the time we landed in Nairobi till we got back to the airport after 6 days, we had a hassle free and a good experience. Everything was well organised and we had a smooth running. We stayed at Eagle View camp in Naboisho conservancy, which is built on the top of a hill overlooking the grasslands. It offers a great view and the service at the camp was amazing. I would highly recommend staying at this camp. Even the food was good at all times. The safaris were also very good and we had great sightings of the big cats and other animals and birds.
Overally, Amazing Memories Safaris planned and executed the tour really well and we are back home satisfied, carrying an experience of a life time.

What a way to spend your 50th Birthday! - A fabulous safari experience in Tanzania with friends
5/5

We have just come back from a wonderful 12 day safari in Tanzania booked via Amazing Memories Safari's.

It was absolutely fabulous. We went for my husband's 50th Birthday with two great friends of ours (Karl and Jill) and I'm going to be honest it was mainly Karl we have to thank for most of the organisation. We came back from another trip and he produced a proposed itinerary and we said 'perfect! book it' so we did.

All the communication we had with Anne before the trip was really good. Emails were answered very promptly along with any queries that we had – about visa’s, tipping, change of itinerary etc – she was great ensuring that all our concerns were sorted and answered.

We sorted out our own flights so the 'safari' started when we were picked up in Arusha by our guide, Santos, who looked after us throughout our 12 days. We travelled to many destinations over the 12 days - Ngorongoro, Serengeti North, Serengeti Central, Lake Manyara, Tarangire and Arusha staying is some really wonderful lodges (Serena and Sopa groups).

Ngorongoro Serena Lodge – wonderful accommodation. Bedrooms with the double doors and a patio over looking the Ngorongoro Crater – absolutely wonderful. An elephant came on to camp and we spent a few hours observing him going about his day – just fabulous!
We booked an ‘extra’! Sundowners on the crater rim on the eve of my husband’s 50th Birthday – in the photos it looks very serene, calm and peaceful with cocktails etc. In reality for us it was windy and freezing but still with the most spectacular views – that’s was you get for being born at the end of May! We had a great little team who served us warm canapes and chilled (extra chilled as it was so cold!) gin and tonics whilst the sun went down. Just fabulous! We had the best time wrapped in our Masai blankets
