Ajabu is Wonderful
5/5

Our few days with Ajabu Adventures were magical. Juma, our guide, was the best: friendly and respectful not just to us but everyone we encountered; knowledgeable and passionate about his country and environment; and eager to go above and beyond the expected to make us feel quite at home in Tanzania.
And Judith - what can I say? She is a model business owner - engaging, delightful and delivers over-the-top service and care.

The only downside was the food at the lodge where we stayed - their attempt at European cuisine feel short. May I suggest they try local delicacies, for which they probably have a much more sensitive palate, and would round out the experience of our Tanzania adventure?

Ajabu, the key to the perfect safari!
5/5

In july we made our first safari, organised by Ajabu Adventures. From the first contact, we had a very good feeling by the organisation. It was very professional and tailor-made. And the reception by Judith on the first day of our safari was warm and personal; the confirmation of the good feeling we already had.
And then our guide/driver Paul...Such a nice person, with al lot of knowledge and a nice sense of humour. He learned us a lot and nothing was too much!
The safari itself was overwhelming. Even the most beautiful photo can't reflect what you really see.
All the credits go to Ajabu Adventures and we highly recommend Ajabu to anyone who intends to make a safari.

Excellent, fantastic, Perfect!!!!!!!!
5/5

The perfect safari! I have been on 3 safaris before and this one number 4 was the best. It was the longest 25 days and even that was too short. We had the best guide/driver ever possible named Hans. Definitely anyone going on safari with Ajabu Adventures definitely ask for Hans, no demand Hans he is excellent. Every animal, or bird we wanted to see we say. He is patient, kind, knowledgeable and experienced. I never had such a fantastic guide as Hans, you will not be disappointed. I guarantee him. Ajabu Adventures went beyond my expectations. They gave us 5 star accommodations in the middle of the parks! Food, lodging, guide, adventure all were 10 stars! Be adventurous and take the 25 day safari you will never regret it. A once in a lifetime that you will remember forever. I love Africa, it's people, sight and sound. Each park was unique and different and had different animals. I would definitely take Ajabu Adventures on another safari and of course Hans as the guide!!!

Safari and Tribal Adventure
5/5

What an exciting trip! My only company was Paul, my driver who was fantastic. He looked after me as if I were his grandma. His eyes were sharp. I don't think he missed one little movement that was worth some attention. He would spot a leopard in the fork of a tree from far away. He was able to anticipate situations. Once we saw a herd of elephants standing tucked together in the shade of a tree. There were many tourists in many cars watching. The elephants started moving slowly on, one after the other. The cars drove off. Paul said, "They are heading for water!" We slowly moved in the same direction as the elefants and discovered a water hole. We stopped close by. What an amazing sight! One by one , little ones, big ones, everyone walked steadily into the cool water. They rolled, showered, sprayed, drank and trumpeted in sheer joy!
I saw just about every animal possible, even a black rhino. To me it looked like a big thick sausage towards the horizon. I just had to believe Paul. He was right! At home on the zoomed-in photo I can see the horns!!!
On this trip I came in close contact with 3 tribes which was a once in my lifetime experience.
The accommodation was excellent (even though I downgraded somewhat) and everywhere we stopped the staff was friendly and helpful. Not to forget the two fantastic local guides, Mossa and Tobias, who both spoke beautiful English and their knowledge was bottomless.
There was a lot of driving ca 2400km. In Serengeti the roads were rough and dusty.
I am very happy I chose Ajabu Adventure for my first Africa experience!

Great experience for the whole family!!
5/5

We have been to Tanzania for over 2 weeks with our family with 2 children aged 11 and 14. First a week safari (Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Serengeti) with a day in between with a visit to the Masai and a banana plantation. Then 8 days Zanzibar to attend all the experiences.
The trip was from Amsterdam directly to Arusha and then after a week safari flew at the Serengeti and from the Serengeti to Zanzibar (via Arusha). We flew back from Zanzibar to Dar Es Salaam and then back directly to Amsterdam. This is a really relaxed travel schedule (thanks for this great schedule Ajabu).

Everything was well arranged and the accommodations that Ajabu had chosen were beyond expectations.

From the first moment we arrived at the airport in Arusha and our Issa guide, we were waiting for a familiar and safe feeling.
We want to give our compliments to Issa, a great guide !! We did not think we could do better.
The Land Rover was also a super car and it brought us everywhere very comfortable.

Zanzibar and the flights to it are unforgettable and we will not forget this stay at Bellevue soon.
Myself and my son have had several days of kite lessons, fantastic !!

A real treat for anyone who wants to enjoy the true nature and ending a stay at Zanzibar is highly recommended!

Amazing trip of a lifetime!
5/5

Our tour was fantastic! Our operator was very knowledgeable and considerate, accommodations were really great, and enjoyed all our experiences. I only wish we had more time in the Serengeti, and I would only take one day of rest upon arriving in Arusha. Otherwise we loved it!

3 day great Safari Experience Northern Circuit
5/5

We (2 persons) asked for a 3 day safari. Nicole Versleijen produced within a few hours a suggestion/offer: the itinerary, lodges and price. The webbased presentation of the offer was great.
Tarangire (Serena lodge with a perfect sundowner overlooking lake Manyara, the Ngorongoro crater (Sopa lodge with again a perfect sundowner overlooking the crater) and Lake Manyara. The car was clean, reliable and comfortable. The driver, a very skilled guide, polite and an excellent compagnon. All together, although we have been on safari quite often: a GREAT ONE!! I can recommend Ajabu to everyone.

Trip of a Lifetime!!
5/5

Jumbo, Jumbo...This was our first Safari and cannot not imagine another "future" trip we may plan to another location that could exceed our expectations as much as this one. Starting from scratch, I discovered there are many, many tour operators from which to choose. I narrowed my choices based on reviews, intuition and response to my requests. In the end, what looked like a daunting task to select an operator, Ajabu Adventures made the decision easy. Their quick response to my questions (many), flexibility with our itinerary, suggestions, customer service, personal attention to our needs and wants and price were the highlights in making the decision to book our safari with Ajabu Adventures. Most importantly, when it came time to deliver, Ajabu exceeded our expectations in every way......lodging (5 star), tour guide (PAUL!!!), attractions, surprises, rare finds (attributed to Paul), culture and life and on and on. In fact, along the journey, we met some wonderful people and shared in many of the African customs. Our 9 day itinerary was just enough to want us to consider a return for the 25 day adventure in the future. Highly recommend two nights in the bush (tent camp) and part of a day with a Maasai Tribe community. Anja and her team, and Paul as our tour guide, truly provided my wife and I the trip of a life time. We have and will continue to share our experience and memories through our stories and photographs with friends and family. Asante sana Ajabu Adventures!
