Fantastic, Knowledgeable, professional and friendly, would highly recommend.
We couldn't have asked anymore from Misuku Expeditions. What a fantastic experience! Thank you so much James and Johnnie we wouldn't hesitate to recommend you. We went on a 2 night safari to South Luangwa and stayed at Croc Valley. James drove us to the Zambian border where Johnnie was ready to collect us. We were with Johnnie for most of the trip and felt like we'd known him for years, It was so lovely to talk to somebody so impassioned about the flora and fauna of Malawi and Zambia. The whole experience was fantastic and the safaris were amazing. I really hope I can return to Malawi and Zambia in the near future and wouldn't hesitate to book an expedition with James and Johnnie again. I really wish them every success for the future as they truly deserve it.

This was just a seamless and stunning journey and experience in Malawi with Misuku Expeditions and particularly under Johnny guidance and leadership!
The trip was on spot to mix adventure, landscaping, local life and culture exploring. Mixed with fun and safety, this was one of the most vibrant and unique trip I have ever experienced!
The team is really flexible, happy to help at all times and provides an excellent customer service with candid recommendations.
Safety, loyalty, help, fun, joy, reliability, happiness, surprises are just a few keywords describing this experience!

I couldn't wish better!
Malawi, and the Lake Malawi itself has been on my bucket list for 20 years. My experiences with Misuku Expeditions exceeded all my expectations!
The communication with Johnnie from the very first second was just like we would have been friends for ages. I whispered my dreams into his ears, and he helped me to make them come true!
We went two together for a two-days trip. First day he took me from Lilongwe to Liwonde for a one day game drive. We saw many antilopes, kudus, nyalas, waterbucks, bush pigs, marabous and elephant families with cute babies. In the afternoon we went for a sunset safari on the Shire river where we saw many hippos, plenty of colorful birds and elephants. After staying overnight in Kutchire Lodge on the bank of a small river where the hippos and crocodiles were running up-and down all night along in the light of the full moon... we continued our journey to Lake Malawi, to Cape Maclear.
The Lake was amazing! The water of it was crystal clean, and we were surranded by billions of the Lake Malawi fishes on our private boat tour! We went to Thumbi Island where I was snorkeling for hours while two local guys prepared grilled chambo fish with fresh veggies for me. After lunch we saw the fish eagles of the Island, then we returned to the village of the fishermen by sunset.
I was enriched by unforgettable memories along these two days with Johnnie!
I warmly recommend his tours to everyone! He was more than a guide, he became my friend along this trip of us!

Misuku Expeditions is a top notch adventure company
Misuku Expeditions is a Malawi owned and operated expedition company. I went to Lewondi National Park with them. The game drives, boat safari and accommodations were all top notch. I messed up my travel plans and then were incredibly accommodating and flexible. To top it off, we saw a mother rhino and her calf! Communication, and reliability were really solid. The price was very reasonable.

Fantastic Tour Company, Highly Recommended for Malawi and Zambia!
My girlfriend and I recently spent two weeks with Misuku expeditions in South Luangwa National Park and southern Malawi (Mt. Mulanje, Zomba, Liwonde, Cape Maclear, and more). Needless to say, these destinations exceeded all of our expeditions! Misuku enhanced our experience with local knowledge at every step, and handled all of the finer logistical details to make our journey as worry free as possible.
When planning the trip, Johnnie was easy to communicate with, flexible, and quick to understand our goals. When we met him in person, we found that he was an excellent guide and very safe driver. He had booked incredible places for us to stay and knew the logistics of our trip inside and out. On our journey, Johnnie introduced us a number of local contacts as part of Misuku's goal to promote sustainable tourism. In practice, this meant that we met amazing people and learned local perspectives everywhere we went! Johnnie also planned ahead to ensure that the ongoing fuel shortage in Malawi never hampered our trip.
The price Misuku offered us was very fair, better than many competing companies, and our experience was smooth from beginning to end. We had an unforgettable journey, and I feel like Johnnie became more like a friend than a tour guide by the end. Highly recommended if you’re planning to tour Malawi and Zambia!

100% Use Misuku Expeditions over other tour companies
Johnnie is amazing. My boyfriend and I contacted him randomly from the Bradt Malawi guidebook as we were trying to find a tour company who could help us plan a 2.5 week trip throughout Zambia and Malawi.
Of all the tour companies we contacted, Johnnie was the most prompt, easy to work with, AND affordable. He has your best interests in mind when you tell him what you want to do and see, as well as what your budget is.
Johnnie helped us coordinate our stay at South Luangwa National Park in Zambia, as well as Dedza, Chongoni Rock, Mua Mission, Mount Mulanje, Zomba, and Cape Maclear in Malawi. He took care of all the logistics regarding accommodation, restaurants, and local tour guides. He drove us around to all the places too. Johnnie is also more than happy to make pit stops to walk through local villages with you, withdraw cash from the ATM, pull over the side of the road to take pictures, etc.
Johnnie is also just a great human being. He is speaks English very well and knows a lot about Malawi and Zambia. He is easy to talk to and makes you feel completely at ease, even as I am a foreign female traveler.
I told all my friends about Johnnie and Misuku Expeditions. I can’t wait to come back to Malawi in the future so he can take me to more places.

reliable, friendly - perfect Safari in South Luangwa
After staying in Malawi for three weeks I decided to go on a Safari in South Luangwa National Park in Zambia and I decided to book this trip via Misuku expiditions, because of all the good recommendations I've read about them. And it definitely was the best choice I could have made. Johnnie arranged everything and was very helpful fulfilling all my wishes. The transfer from Malawi to Zambia and back went smoothly and Johnnie brought me to the Airport just in time. He also arranged an additional game drive in South luangwa at our arrival day. During our stay at the Croc Valley Camp Johnnie helped us with everything and made sure everything was alright at any time. The game drives were all wonderful and amazing and I would definitely recommend this trip to anyboday who is nearby!

Amazing
Johnnie and the intern were both extremely accommodating and went above and beyond to give us the most amazing trip, and when they only had a few days notice to do so. I highly recommend!
