Great value for price
5/5

We worked with Gabriel to set up our tour who was always very responsive to emails and wonderful when we met him in person. He was very gracious and kind and also accommodating. Our tour guide was Freddie who was absolutely phenomenal. He was a very skilled driver and tracked down all the animals that we wanted to see. He was very respectful of the park and animals and we loved the whole experience with him. Everything was all inclusive with our tour including 3 meals a day which were prepared fresh by our wonderful cook. It was all delicious. We also got a hotel stay before and after the safari included with our trip. All in all, would highly recommend if you're looking for a great value safari experience.

Friendly, reliable, good value for money!
5/5

We went with our two teenage daughter with Juma for 4 days to Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorogoro. It was really fantastic! I think it was very good value for money. The communication with Gabriel at the office was very clear and smooth. Very very friendly. There was really nothing that disappointed us. Don't hesitate and book this trip, I think it is the best you can get for this money. Camping is basic but they all are! You are all together with all the other operators at the camp site. We saw all the animals, even a hyena from very close (arount the tent :-)) Good luck to you! Sandra, Frank and girls.

I visited The Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara National Parks and were camping.
5/5

Sayari Tano were amazing! Prior to the Safari, they were always prompt with their returns to emails and were honest about what to expect and with any questions I asked. The accommodation offered the day before and after was what I paid for (I was camping), however, it was clean, had good WI-FI, was in the center of town, had friendly, welcoming staff and had all the necessities. When we started the Safari, the first thing I noticed was how safely our driver Ziggy drove, as not everyone on the road in Africa is always safe. Also, the car was clean and in good repair with no mechanical issues. The tents were really good and exceeded my expectations. In the mornings, we were straight in the car and were on Safari immediately. Whilst in the car, Ziggy (our driver) was really informative and respectful of our time and space in terms of taking photos etc., we saw all sorts of animals in large numbers and the whole time, Ziggy was on the look out for the harder to see animals like leopards, which we saw!!! The food wasn't incredible however, it was well prepared within the limits of how much we were paying, but at the end of the day, I wasn't there for the food.

The only down side was the seating in the car. The front seats are the best getting progressively worse up to the back, however this is not the fault of anyone just something to be aware when you are going on Safari. However, this was easily resolved by rotating the seats. Also, I would highly recommend that you book to go with people you know or have met whilst travelling so that this sort of communication is easier.

All in all, the tour was fantastic and I highly recommend Sayari Tano Tours to anyone who is interested in exploring the wildlife of Tanzania!!

Very pleasant and well organised safari package
5/5

We, group of 7 people from India went on safari with Safari Tano tours in October 2016. Our tour coordinator Gabriel was very helpful and he was very happy to accommodate all our requests. Over all the tour was very well planned and we customised the safari for 5 days as per our requirement. We visited ngrongoro, Serengeti and Kilimanjaro (1 day trek) during our safari. Our tour guide Tony was very welcoming and made the trip memorable. Thanks Gabriel and team for making the trip a great one.

Sayari Tano Tours & Safaris is the best safari tour in Tanzania with the best tour guides.
5/5

We did a 6-day safari in northern Tanzania as part of family tour. We had 3 vehicles for 15 us. We had a very nice and enjoyable moment since the time we were picked at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). We get 2 nights accommodation at the Hotel (Arusha Tourist Inn Hotel- day before and day after our holidays). Our drivers were Oswad Shayo, Freddy &, James who had become a part of our group and their active attitude was transferable.
Regarding wildlife sightings, we managed to see a lot of animals. All the parks were fantastic and offered a varieties of wild animals. We saw the big five lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo, in addition to cheetah, hippo, zebra, different species of antelope, giraffe, monkey, dik-dik, hyena, jackal, ostrich, vulture and a range of other birds.
Sayari Tano Tours & Safaris is an excellent company. They have great staffs with high hospitality level which we could not imagine to find in Tanzania. The service was great; our safari guides was very knowledgeable and very accommodating. This trip exceeded all expectations and could not have asked for a better experience.
We recommend Sayari Tano Tours & Safaris to everyone, they are unbeaten company in Tanzania.

Wonderful and amazing experience
5/5

Me and my friend booked a safari and Kilimanjaro trekking with Sayari Tano Tours & Safaris, they was extremely fast in responding our quote request. This tour company was the only one we found that had so much already included in the price ( 2nights accommodation in the hotel-first and last night hotel stay), airport pick up and drop off, sleeping bag, drinking water while your in safari,. If we had booked through another safari company that would have easily asked as to add a couple of dollars to our safari. The taxi was awaiting our arrival, even though we had huge delays,

This company have well established team. Special thanks to staffs, our driver Oswald and our cook Mikel

The service was very great and hotel was so amazing, i can say all services and everything was supper, The company put as at the hotel where we access WIFI, TV Channels and best restaurant with nice inside bar even you can overview the city at the top of hotel.

The guide was extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the wildlife, fauna, history and our surroundings, he was friendly and fun alongside it which made the whole group feel comfortable.

We real enjoy and we are heart felt to recommend this tour company to anyone who are planning their holidays to Tanzania

Overall a very good experience, a serious company at a fair price.
4/5

Despite some issues, we felt they wanted to give us a great experience. The rating is 4 and not 5 because of the logistic stuff mentioned below. The safari in itself was amazing, although that would have probably been the case with other companies as well. To get the highest rating they would need to improve on planning and information disclosure.

The good:

+ The safari was incredible with sightings of the Big 5 and other breathtaking scenes.

+ Our guide Stanley was knowledgeable but not very talkative without us asking the questions. It felt like we grew on him and towards the latter part of the 5-day safari he elaborated a bit more on the topics. He also knew all the parks very well and collaborated with other cars to find the animals.

+ Airport pickup/drop and hotel accommodation before/after the trip was great.

The bad:

- When we came to the hotel (which was also the office of Sayari Tano) we found out they were going to change the order of the park visits and do them “backwards”. This was because we were grouping up with another couple (we had ordered group safari) and the other couple started 2 days before. This was fine for us even though the info came very late. We also asked to be compensated with a half day Masaai tour afterwards which we got. In hindsight, it would probably have been nicer to start with Lake Manyara rather than finish with it (because there are less visible animals there), but this was a very minor issue.

- When arriving at the first camp site, we found out by the sticker on the car that we were actually going with a company called “World Tours & Safaris”. Apparently, they cooperate with other companies but not to tell us this felt very strange.

- When on the actual safari, we stayed in some different camps than those on the itinerary, which didn’t really matter to us because we didn’t know any of them anyway, but again this type of behavior felt very unprofessional. When talking about it afterwards, the management said that the campsites just had different nicknames and that we stayed in the correct ones, but it turned out that this was not true. We probably just followed the itinerary of the other couple travelling together with us.

- Because the park fees are paid per 24 hours, it does create some difficulties for the companies logistically to arrange the “full days” as per itinerary if they need to deviate from the original itinerary plan. Because we needed to drop off the other couple travelling in our car, we lost half a day on day 4 (of 5). We talked with management about this afterwards and they tried to defend themselves, blame the driver as well as the government for charging such high park entry fees, but we ended up getting a 5% refund (after asking for 10%). Before you book, try to ask them to be very specific about time frames to avoid this.

- The chef cooked “western” food for us like pasta etc. The food wasn’t that great and especially the lunches were super dry and tasteless (crackers, white bread, banana etc.). It would have been nicer to have some more authentic food and some love put into it.

- Sleeping bags were not very clean (probably never washed) but this was a very minor issue.
