Wonderful 3 Day private safari
5/5

My fiancé and I booked a 3 day safari with Taste of Afrika. From the initial inquiry to all of my follow-up questions via email, communication with Seka was always so easy! He was always quick to respond to all of my questions (and trust me, I had a lot!). Pick-up at the airport was a breeze as well as all transportation throughout our tour until the very end. Moses was our tour guide and he was absolutely amazing! He is super friendly and went above and beyond for us. We also added on a walking safari tour (about 2 hours each day) for all 3 parks we visited (Tarangire, Ngorongoro, and Lake Manyara) which I highly recommend. We stayed at Farm of dreams lodge during our safari tour (arranged by Taste of Afrika) which was wonderful. I highly recommend booking with Taste of Afrika and ask for Moses! We definitely will on our next visit to Tanzania :)

It was great!
5/5

We went to the waterfalls in Materuni and the coffee farm. It was a great trip. The owner of the company Seka picked us from where we stayed and drove us to Materuni. He joined us for the trip. When we arrived in Materuni we meet our guide for this day. He was an inhabitant of the village with a great knowledge of English and even a little bit of german. First, we went for a walk for about 45 minutes to the waterfall. the guide explained to us about the different kinds of plants and for what they are used by his tribe, the chagga chagga. When we arrived at the waterfall it was an impressing picture. We could go into the water. And to be honest, if Seka did not go i would not go. But then I would miss the fresh, clean and really cold water. After the waterfall, we hiked to the coffee farm. There, first of all, we got a delicious lunch and then they showed us every step from the coffee bean to the finished coffee. We were also able to enjoy a cup of freshly brewed coffee. After the trip, Seka brought us back to our place where we stayed.
All in all, it was a great experience and I would recommend it to other people. But you should be aware that Materuni is in a rainforest so you could get wet and muddy and the hiking gets a little bit tricky.

The perfect day out
5/5

Seka picked us up from our accommodation on the morning of our trip and took us up to the village of Materuni. There we picked up our tour guide and started our hike to the waterfall. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly and a master at spotting chameleons which was a bonus! When we got to the waterfall we had time to relax and appreciate the view before we changed and ventured into the fresh Kilimanjaro water. After this we proceeded to the coffee tour where we were quickly served a delicious hot meal before being given the chance to process coffee beans in the traditional chagga way. Overall our tour exceed my expectations. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and cannot complain about the price. I would definitely recommend taste of Africa tours to anyone who wants an immersive tourist experience. Thank you Seka for the memories!

great 7 days safari and 1 day Kilimanjaro with Taste of Afrika
5/5

we would like to thank Seka for the organisation of our 8 days experience in north Tanzania. everything was great: the itinerary and above all the choice of the lodges
it was very difficult for us from France to organise our trip in Tanzania on our own, as we were used to do in other countries. Seka helped us and the result was above our expectations.

Our guide & driver Moses was the best guide we could ever wish for.
4/5

The communication before the safari was excellent. We got to plan our safari exactly based on our needs and desires. There were some slight changes in accommodation but we were informed about everything in advance and it was actually an upgrade :)
The safari itself was an amazing experience! Our guide&driver Moses was the best guide we could ever wish for. Moses is a very nice person. He went above and beyond and work very hard to show us all the animals and made our time and money totally worth!
We faced some problems with payment but in the end, it was resolved and I believe Taste of Afrike won't allow this to happen in the future.

Great guide
5/5

We took the 1-day hike with Taste of Afrika and everything worked just fine: our driver, John, picked us in Arusha. He was punctual, helpful and overall very nice. Our guide, Peter, was also a plus: he was funny and made the climb easier with his good mood.

Regarding the experience itself, we were expecting more of the climb and views - we got cloudy weather, which didn’t help.

Park entrance fees are perhaps a bit expensive for the one day tour, which brings the overall cost up too. But I’d recommend it anyway, if you’re planning a trip in the area - and, if so, Taste of Afrika will do the job just fine.

Incredible 2 day safari - great for your first safari
5/5

We had an incredible experience on our 2 day safari in Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater with Taste of Afrika. From start to finish everything was well-organised by the company - Seka kept us well-informed and arranged absolutely everything! From airport pick-up and drop-off, lovely hotels (particularly Farm of Dreams, wow) with such friendly staff, tasty food, to the safari experience itself, we couldn't have asked for a better service. Temba was a brilliant guide on our travels, telling us so many interesting facts about the local flora and fauna, getting us into great positions to see the animals, and driving very adeptly over the sometimes bumpy ground. As a first safari experience we couldn't have been happier, and we'd highly recommend this short safari to other first-timers. We'll be signing-up to a longer one next time for sure.

In general all good, but sometimes a bit disorganized
4/5

We had really great safari and this is achievement on our guide!
Moses (https://www.facebook.com/moses.nnko.50) is really great guy, excellent driver, honest person and just very positive person. He made our trip, he knows where to find animals and how to get to them. It's not his bad but couple times because payments were not complete, we were waiting for an hour or so in front of the gates into national parks.
Organization before trip were a bit un organized as well, for example we were trying to get hotels conformations for a month (one month took us to get conformations from the hotels). With one camp we found the wrong dates and highlight this. in the end when we came to the camp nobody was there and we were needed to go to another camp. Thanks again to Moses (our guide) he was able to sort this out

Thank you for a great life time experience
5/5

We had the greatest safari ever with 'taste of africa safaris'. Moses, our safari guide was very informative about the wilds and amazing during the whole safari. Seka has been our first contact when searching for our first trip to Tanzania in Africa. He was very patient with us. We had alot of questions concerning our first trip to Tanzania. During Corona pandemic time we were skeptic to go but all our questions and wishes were well answered and our safari was super organised by this company. They even provided extra corona/covid-19 insurance during our safari even though we''´ were already insured from our Country. Considering the communication, information and paymentt method me and my husband have been very happy and satisfied with the payment procedure. They even accepted paypal payment as extra payment method. All lodges and tented camps were booked for us. There it was clean and we could also take hot showers. In total we had a good times with the friendly staff, good meals from Breakfast to diner. We really appreciate and recommend this Company for providing good, professional service reasonable priced. Believe me, you won't regret it. Thank you Moses & Seka. We hope to meet you next year for our Kilimanjaro trekking.
Greetings from Germany, Frankfurt -
Carda and Michele
