Efficient
Our trip was well organized and we got to see a lot of the Kenya has to offer. Traveling in group was an experience !
The hotels are simple but clean, however the meals could be improved.

Great African Safari Adventure
Not just a Safari... An African adventure!!!
September 2024
If you are looking for"up close and personal" interactions with the"big five"and many more, then this Safari s for you, especially if you don't want to break the bank to pay for your trip!!!
From the beginning to the end, I was treated with respect... As an honored visitor! Dancing with my Masai brothers and doing a guided up-close walking tour only made the trip more special...
But the greatest adventures were the daily interactions with the wild animals! Close encounters with cheetahs, elephants, lions, giraffes and rhinos walking along with us and actually among our vehicles was amazing... We could have reached out and touched then except that would have been beyond dangerous!!!
Our overnight facilities contributed to the whole Safari experience... The camps were clean, well-organized and helped create the perfect Safari atmosphere.
What a great experience!

Very reliable, good communication
We had a really nice week doing a safari tour with Sterling Travel. We saw so many different animals during their migration. It was exciting to see lions, elephants and hippos so close. The food at dinner and breakfast was always tasty... thanks to the operator Diana and to all the different tour guides, who made us having such a special time. Except the special tours like the boat trip / bike excursion the journey was very worth it so we can recommend it a lot!

Amazing tour company
I recently had the pleasure of embarking on a safari adventure with Sterling Travel Ltd, and the experience surpassed all expectations. The seamless booking process, exceptional customer service, and expert guides made the experience truly remarkable.

Good value budget safari that still allows a great expérience
I really enjoyed the trip. Our guide Felix was great. He was helpful, punctual and friendly. He also explained the programme for each day really well and kept us updated on what was happening and when.
Liked the camp at Amboseli park. The accommodation was good, the food was really good and the staff were friendly. Camp at Masai Mara was ok but during the winter season the accommodation could get pretty cold during the evenings and early mornings. Also WiFi (rationed in both camps) didn't have enough bandwidth for the number of people connected to it and was very slow.
Otherwise a very good trip, which I’d recommend.

Amazing fun and safe experience
In few words, our safari was MUCH better than expected. The scenic views, the wildlife and the way every animal was found in nature was a unique experience. The accommodations were also better that we have imagined when we booked a 'budget safari', everything seemed very safe and well maintained.
Our preferred park was Masai Mara, very beautiful and full of wildlife. Seeing rhinos at Lake Nakuru was also a marvelous experience. On the other hand was Amboseli park, which, because of rain seasons, was not as amazing as it is supposed to be on dry seasons. Nevertheless, we spotted mating lions and a huge pack of elephants from very close, which was very exciting.
If I had to name a downside for the whole safari it would be the food. It was very delicious and abundant everywhere, but there was a specific place where we had lunch 2 days in a row that gave my wife and I stomach issues for 4-5 days.
All this was briefly opaqued by the miscommunication problem when transferring from Amboseli to Arusha, where we were left stranded at the bus station, but Diana (from Sterling travel) responded very well after we could communicate, offering a fair solution.

Excellent Service...
Sterling Travels did a great job in managing our booking for Masai Mara. The entire process right from payment to drop back to airport was seamless. The guide provided for the tour was knowledgeable and a very safe driver as well. As vegetarians our needs were well taken care off. Special mention about Diana who ensured that we have a great time and managed all the arrangements for us to our expectations, infact exceeded it.

Good price/ quality
The friendly manager Diana was very helpfull and responsive when booking the safari. The price of our budget safari was the cheapest we could find among competitors online and safari was well worth it. Friendly guide with animal-spotting capacities. Overall a perfect trip for the money spent, well recommended.
2 minor issues:
- When we booked the safari, we transferred a deposit using the transfer tool the company suggested. Diana then told us she received 30 dollar less than the amount send (even though we paid additional fee for the transfer already). We emailed about it for weeks, in the end Diana offered to split the costs. We didn’t mind the 30 dollar, but were a bit worried about the credibility of the company beforehand (which luckely turned out to be okay in the end).
- water is included but we ran out of water after half of the trip and had to buy our own.
An experience you have to go through at least once in your life
The overall experience was really incredible and I might do it again later on in life. If you're on a budget I would recommend going to Kenya between August and October, because of migrating season and going at least to Maasai Mara. We did a 7-day safari in 4 different national parks
in Kenya and have seen more than we could have ever expected to see. A lot of it is thanks to our driver Stanley who was really the best driver we could have ever wished for. The only real complaint I can think of is that there is rarely any hot water in camps with tents, other than that I think everything was organized really well for what we paid and I would do it all over again.
