Dream tour
5/5

When I was booking the safari, the owner Paul was very helpful and clearly informed me with all plans, distances etc. He replied very fast and in details. When we came to Arusha the guide- Ezekiel- was waiting for us, and its started!
On the first day we saw Masai village and then came to the lodge. The drive was safe and exent. Ezekiel explained the Masai culture showed us more viliges, and answered a lot of questions. On safari was amazing! It was spectacular view, he knew exactly when the animals were, showed us even those, hidden. Without Ezekiel we would see maybe 10% of all. Great, amazing knowledge and kindness of our guide! For sure we have seen more than we expected!

Great experience
4/5

I spent a lot of time learning about the parks and reading reviews. What I liked about Tanzania Roadside was Paul's flexibility when planning my trip. 7/6 nights. I switched on of the accommodations and added a 3rd night to Sarrenngeti at the upscale kuba kuba.
First off all accommodations were nice, with great service and generally felt the staff was amazing. Are guide had 5 years working with same company and shared knowledge some and looked up answers to our questions if required from his reference books. He was easy with a smile and never rattled even when he had to change the tire for 2nd time. He also stopped so we could gift kids soccer balls we brought and a unscheduled stop at local school to gift supplies.
We found are own way to Arusha and stayed at a simple hotel for night. Paul and Ezekiel arrived as scheduled for pick up. We went over trip and were on our way. 1st stop Tarangire.
Next day lake Manyara by back way. Then 2 nights at Kati kati Sarrenngeti and a 3rd in Kuba Kuba last night at Rhino camp that was cozy in its own way. Last day we did Ngorongoro crater before heading back to Arush last day.
I think we got good bang for our bucks and were able to see every thing including big five. Money transfer was easy. This company is all local people, not a international business. I gave it 4.5 stars

Tanzania Safari & Zanzibar - Organization of itinerary by Paul & Safari guide James both incredible!
5/5

Tanzania Roadside Expeditions Service is amazing!
Communications from first contact, making travel arrangements - ongoing during the vacation, as well as after our trip - were prompt and accommodating. Drivers organized by Paul were always on time and very friendly. Paul customized our African experience to suit our needs exactly as requested.
James, our Safari driver is the best in the business. He located and identified every species that we wanted to see and much, much more. His kind, thoughtful, respectful mannerism endeared us immensely. He always patiently waited while we photographed the wildlife that we saw, no matter how long it took to get the desired photo. He is a true professional.
We cannot express enough how much these 2 gentlemen went above and beyond our expectations to make our safari tour a cherished life-time memory.
If you wish to experience a memorable African safari, we strongly recommend that you book with this company.

I will for sure recommend Roadside Expeditions to my friends.
5/5

Our famiy had a seven-day safari in northern Tanzania, including Arusha National Park, Lake Manyara, Lake Eyasi/Hadzabe, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro. Overall, the safari was organized very well and exceeded my expectation.
1. The communication via email was very smooth during the planning stage. Paul provided lots of useful information and answered lots of questions in a prompt way.
2. Our guide Ezekiel is fatanstic. He is always considerate, patient, and meanwhile knowledgeable about animals, plants and local things. During the game drives, he could find the right location and timing so that we were able to spot the cheetah hunting, the lions resting beside the road, and the big migaration running just in front our car!
3. We took the safari in the rain season. However, there was not too much rain this year and we only experienced raining three times, twice at midnight and once in the afternoon while driving on the crater rim. Basically the rain season has no impact on our safari - road condition was good, mosquito was rare, and animals were easy to find.

Holiday of a lifetime!
5/5

Wow, what an amazing trip! A massive thank you to the guys at Tanzania Roadside Expeditions for delivering the holiday of a lifetime. From the pre-booking support (apologies for the 100 questions!) to the safari and then to our final few days in Zanzibar it was very well planned and delivered. Our guides were amazing, Ezekiel in particular who was our guide on safari, and extremely knowledgeable creating a truly immersive experience. What really stood out was the personal attention given to us to make sure everything went according to plan.
Many thanks and we are already planning our next trip to Tanzania! We’ll be in touch!

Great safari with Ezekiel!
5/5

Paul, the manager, helped us very well from the start to make a tailor-made journey. He was very helpful and responded quickly.

We had the pleasure of experiencing a 6-day safari with Ezekiel, our very friendly guide. We did Lake Manyara, 2 days Serengeti, 2 days Ngorongoro and Tarangire. He gave a lot of information about the different national parks, the animals and the culture. All very interesting .. He succeeded in showing us the big five. Nothing was too much for him. Ezekiel answered all our questions and stopped whenever we wanted to take a photo. He also gave a briefing every day so we knew what to expect. Very professional in short.
We want to thank them very much for this experience.

We advise everyone to travel to Tanzania with Tanzania Roadside Expeditions!

Amazing vacation!
5/5

We couldn't choose a better Safari Agency. "Tanzania Roadside Expeditions" was perfect for us. Paul was always eager to answer all our questions and in a very fast way (I must say). It was like he was online all the time. :) We felt like we already have a friend, even we meet only when we get there.
We put so many questions (because for such an adventure there is a lot of logistics to set) but Paul answered very calmly to all. And the most important thing, he tried to find a solution to all our problems. Thank you, Paul, for everything! Asante sana!

Tanzania is a country that should be visited at least once in the life time (in my opinion) and if you are lucky to have Edwin to be your guide it will be perfect. Yes , you heard well: Edwin won our hearts! He is so kind, calm, friendly, sensible, patient. He also has a good heart! He is like an Encyclopedia. You will quickly understand that he is a very experienced guide. He helped us see all the things we wanted to see. You have to trust him and his abilities because he really knows what he's doing. But the most important thing it was that we felt all the time that we were in vacation with a very good friend. We will really miss you, Edwin! Nakutakia kila la heri!

About safari (it means Journey in swahili)...
We stayed 3 nights (4 days) in 3 different types of accomodation: Kudu Camp - Lodge (superb), Kati-Kati Tented Camp (best safari experience possible!) and Rhino Lodge (cosy and quiet).
The car (Toyota Land Cruiser modified) was very comfortable and very strong for those kind of roads.
Food: very good; european-american style but you find also local type of food.
Experience: fabulous! We saw all the animals and landscapes that we planned to see.
Logistics: transfer, contacts and all other things ran smoothly.

Tip: have patience and trust your guide!

Small company with a very dedicated owner
4/5

Paul, the owner of the company, really puts a LOT of effort into planning your safari and make the best out of your stay. The safari itself was amazing and the accommodations fully met/exceeded our expectations. Our driver was very knowledgable, however, he made it very clear that he would rather be with his family (it was around Christmas time). We of course understand this but this put us in a very uncomfortable situation. He only answered our questions but did not tell us a lot by himself. We also booked a beach vacation on Zanzibar with Tanzania Roadside Expedition after our safari. This part we wouldn't book again with them as we had a very unpleasant experience in the hotel booked for us (but Paul was again VERY helpful).

All in all we absolutely loved our experience and think it is very rare that someone puts as much effort into client servicing as Paul does. It was not "perfect" due to some things as listed below but your value for money is great and you sure will have a great vacation if you book with Tanzania Roadside Expeditions.
