Experience because of experience
Fantastic pre safari communication from Paul the CEO. He also came to meet us in Arusha at the end and it was great to hear and see how a local entrepreneur is challenging the more capitalised big operators.
The safari was brilliant - we have been to SA Malawi Bots Zim Zak Moz on safari and Walter our guide was as knowledgeable and experienced as anyone we’d met before. He was ex A&K and been guiding for over 20 years. Walter took us on the less chaotic paths away from the big crowds in both the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater. This meant we had better sightings with fewer vehicles and once watched a cheetah mother with her five cubs on our own. He also managed to get us a sighting of the illusive Black Rhino!!! I would heartily recommend using this firm as they know the local ground and will show you a more authentic Tanzania. Some of the other firms like Tanzania Specialist and Savannah Explorers don’t try to find any sightings themselves rather they drive as fast as they can to find the next group of jeeps to find out what they are looking at resulting in overcrowding and noisy and busy sightings and their guides are clearly less experienced and understanding of being part of nature as opposed to interfering with it. If you want to see Tanzania I’d always use Tanzania Roadside Expeditions.

AMAZING AND LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE.
For a long time we were planning to go on a Safari. Especially since our father’s had a great love for animal’s and nature.
It was a dream for us to go on a Safari and since our father’s are no longer alive, we wanted our memory of them to continue while on this Safari.
It was a privilege to book this Safari with TANZANIA ROADSIDE EXPEDITIONS.
The owner Paul Justine was committed to us from the very beginning to the very end of the Safari.
He was always available to us when we needed questions to be answered even before the Safari started.
That is simply just dedication on his part to his clients.
The hotel’s that he booked for us during our Safari each day were amazing and it included all our meals and refreshments when we were on the road.
We were picked up at the airport and were taken for our first night at the Gran Melia Arusha. After Paul helped to check us in, we had a meeting on the details of our Safari for the next 4 days.
The next morning we got to meet our tour guide Ezekiel Elias.
First impression of Ezekiel is that he was on time and very enthusiastic. You could tell he was excited about his job and sharing his knowledge with people.
Our first destination was to the Tarangire National Park which is almost 3000 sq km in size and is probably best known for its huge numbers of elephants and baobab trees. The name of the park comes from the Tarangire River which crosses through the park. The park is home to over 2000 elephants and 500 bird species.
We spent our second night at the Escarpment Luxury Lodge where Ezekiel assisted us to check-in.
On our third day we headed to the
Serengeti National Park. We understand that this Park is the world’s last largest great wildlife refuge as it contains an estimated three million large animals. Furthermore, the area covers 14,763 square feet and the name Serengeti comes from the Maasai 'Siringet', meaning endless plains. Amazing!!
We had an opportunity to meet one of the tribes called the Masai Tribe. They were very welcoming and explained to us about their daily lives.
After Ezekiel checked us in at the Serengeti Melia Lodge for our third night.
We spent half a day in Serengeti and later the next morning we went to the rim of Ngorongoro Crater.
This crater is called the eighth natural wonder of the world and is the largest intact crater in the world. For our last night Ezekiel drove us to the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge to check-in.
The next day we descend into the crater for a tour. Before heading to the Kilimanjaro International airport for our flight to Dar-es-Salaam.
Ezekiel took the initiative and stopped off and took a small video of Mount Kilimanjaro since my husband climbed up 18,000 feet when he was in the Boy Scouts. Ezekiel knew how much this meant. We were shortly now going to say bye to a close friend who we came to know over the past few days from the Safari.
The Safari that was booked for us was an amazing experience and completed with great detail.
The memories we experienced will always be cherished for the rest of our lives.
We highly recommend booking your Safari with TANZANIA ROADSIDE EXPEDITIONS. Furthermore, it was Paul Justine and Ezekiel Elias that made one of our dreams come true.
We thank you Paul and Ezekiel.

Roadside Expeditions gave us a great time for a great value.
We did a 9-day tour including a safari and time in Zanzibar. It was the perfect amount of time for us to experience what Tanzania had to offer. Booking was easy, and all our questions were answered. It was so nice to have everything taken care of so we could just enjoy ourselves. Our safari driver, Justin, was wonderful! He was super knowledgeable and amazing at spotting animals (not to mention, great at handling the Land Cruiser)! We saw so many incredible animals. All of our accomodations were comfortable with helpful staff. Paul, our coordinator was also extremely helpful and on top of things. There were a few mix-ups at our final destination in Zanzibar but the resort was able to set things straight. All-in-all it was a good value for the price.

Unforgettable Lifetime Experience with Tanzania Roadside Expeditions
Being a seasoned travellers to African safari destinations, me and my wife had always dreamed of experiencing wilderbeest migration in Serengeti and visiting paradise on earth in Ngorongoro Crater. Since Tanzania was far from our first safari destination, we started from reaserching which Tanzanian safari operator to choose. We contacted to a few safari operators, but from the very first email Paul, the Manager of Tanzania Roadside Expeditions distinguished with a timely, thorough and clear communication in all correspondence. His well-pointed advices, diplomacy and flexible approach to our requests and accomodation preferencies led to compiling an excellent 12-days Tailored Safari Tour with Tanzania Roadside Expeditions. Prior to our arrival Paul was accurate and honest with periodic updates on arrangements with a prefered lodges and camps.
We were warmly welcomed at Kilimanjaro Airport by our driver and guide Walter who appeared to be a great wildlife lover and expert. Walter was extraordinary - smart, personable, knowledgeable, intuitive and empathic. He catered to all of our wishes, going off the beaten path and finding animals that were unseen by others driving the same routes, worth mentioning a rarely seen caracal. Thanks to Walter’s experience, we were able to observe wildlife action - lions hunting warthog and having their breakfast, cheetah hunting Thomson gazelle, wilderbeests river crossing and many other animals, including a number of big cats, relaxing on trees and rocks. Great unforgettable lifetime experience!
The overnight lodges and camps were perfectly chosen by Paul and exceeded our expectations, especially Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge in Serengeti NP.
Sincerely thank you Paul and Walter for a wonderful Tanzania experience!
We highly recommend a professional and strongly customer-oriented company Tanzania Roadside Expeditions.

Amazing safari. We saw more than we expected. The guide - Ezekiel - was very helpful, punctual and stopped when we wanted to take some photos. He showed us animals that we would not notice. Great knowledge! I look forward to visiting Tanzania again, along with of course Tanzania Roadside Expeditions.

Tanzania's jurassic park - Ngorongoro adventure with TRE!!
Our safari trip to Ngorongoro was a wonderful adventure thanks to TRE and especially our guide, James. Communication was speedy from the get go in organizing the tour and James was always there on time. He was highly informative and accommodating throughout which made the safari experience fun and educational at the same time especially as we managed to see four of the big five. Ngorongoro crater area is truly a beautiful and unique world that should not be missed!!
