Terrific time in Selou and Mikumi!!
Travel for Change did an excellent job all around in arranging our safari (on very short notice), catering to our requests, providing us a terrific driver, arranging wonderful last minute adventures, and finding the right spots to see all that we hoped for! Overall an experience that exceeded expectations and we'd confidently recommend Travel for Change to family and friends.

Amazing Family Safari in Ngorongoro with Travel for Change
Going on safari in Tansania was a dream I had since my daughter was born. As I had been on safari before, I wanted to experience it with her as well. So when she turned 5, we felt it was time to do it.
We selected Ngorongoro because of the beautiful scenery, many animals in relatively compact area and the high altitude to minimize the risks of getting malaria. We got offers from around 10 safari tour operators.
We finally selected Travel for Change because they met all our requirements: private safari, accommodation above 1800 meters altitude, a convincing programme (not too much driving since we were with a small child), social responsibility, and a very good pricing! Throughout the booking process, they were impressively flexible to adjust the programme to our desire and needs. We went through several rounds of adjustments until we were completely satisfied.
The 5-day safari also went very well. Our Travel for Change guides (Elia and Silvia) were knowledgeable, kind, helpful and understanding for our special needs with a small child. Most importantly, our guides always asked if any adjustments were needed, and were always flexible to make short-term changes to the programme – for example, when we felt tired, or felt like sleeping longer. The places we stayed in were awesome too, especially the Angata Camp in Ngorongoro blew our minds away. Great tents with their own showers, great food and beautiful location from where you get down into the crater in a few minutes (on the east side, with less other cars!). From our tents in the Crater Forest Lodge we even saw elephants grazing 50 meters from our tents. We made day trips to Lake Manyara, Lake Olmoti Crater with visit to a maasai village market, and of course Ngorongoro Crater. All of the activities were great experiences, we felt to be gaining both nature and cultural insights. The whole tour went smoothly without any issues.
I would recommend Travel to Change Africa to all my friends who are looking for a reliable, flexible and socially responsible safari operator. Thanks to all their team for this trip!!!

Exploring Kenya at Affordable Prices and Quality Service
We had a wonderful time in Kenya, thanks to TravelForChange team and especially Carlos (our driver and guide). We planned a 7 Night 8 Day tour - Amboseli-Nakuru-Masai Mara-Naivasha
Patricia and her team patiently helped us customize our itinerary in the initial phase. Everything was well executed - Pick Up/Drop, Hotel Bookings, Food, Safari Bookings, Park Fee etc.
All you have to do is reach the airport and everything is taken care of. We didn't have to worry about anything in terms of logistics.
I do have some Important Suggestion for those who plan to book with TravelForChange or other Tour Operators -
1. Ensure your Driver is also your guide and understands the bush better than you do. We got lucky as we have a wonderful guide. You have to remember that you will spend most of your time with the driver/guide. Please ensure you discuss this point in detail with the tour operator. Clarify Safari Timings before you sign the contract.
2. If you are doing Kenya only - You may skip Nakuru and Naivasha. Even if you have to travel longer by road, make sure you spend most of your time in Amboseli or Mara. If your budget permits, transfer by light aircraft between parks. The road to Masai Mara is badly maintained (Approx 150Km Stretch)
3. If your budget permits, try to book a lodge/tent inside the park.
On the whole everything was well arranged, accommodation in Amboseli - Kibo Safari Camp, Nakuru - Ziwa Bush Lodge and Naivasha - Naivasha Sopa Lodgewere brilliant. Wajee (in Masai Mara) was basic but very close to wilderness, we liked it but I think it could’ve been a little better.
We are very happy with our experience and we will definitely go back to Travel for Change Africa for our next Holiday in East Africa.
Regards
Harshita

Unforgettable Safari tour of North Tanzania with Travel for Change Africa
Our first ever African Safari in Tanzania of 4 nights and 5 days was wonderful.
The accommodations selected in the middle of jungle in the wilderness were outstanding with typical African jungle touch.
The guide and driver were very good and had smiles on the faces all the time.
The driver knew his way well and was very good

Excellent throughout. No hiccups and everything as we'd planned. Would book again!! Excellent
We have just returned from the Mara.
May I thank you for organising and sorting all the trip for us. It was unbelievable
The camp was nice for the price we paid and the people were friendly and helpful with no hiccups. Just what we wanted
I have to give a special mention to David the guide and driver. He is an absolute credit to you and I would not have wanted anyone else. Not only did he get us in positions from a photographic point of view he sourced everything we would have wanted to see. To add to that he was one of the most easy going most genuine guys we could of hoped for. He really did make the trip for us.
Thank you again and if you can pass the feed back to Dave also I would appreciate
Many thanks and I will return

Very nice Safari in Masai Mara!
Me and my family we went to Masai Mara for 3 days, 2 nights. We didn't have much time and no large budget so we asked Travel for Change for advice. They suggested to go to Masai Mara because you can see many animals in a short period of time. We had a great time!
We stayed in Loyk camp in northern mara and the camp was very nice. We slept in a canvas tent but in a very nice bed and waking up among the animal sounds is lovely.
The drive through mara was a bit long in our safari van because the road is very bad, but our van was strong and the driver was friendly. It also turned out later that our driver had a lot of knowledge about the wild life as well. That was really nice. Also a big plus for us was that a friendly lady from Travel for Change came and see us when we were in Nairobi and were to meet our driver. That was a comforting start of our yourney.
As for the animals we are aware that you have to have some luck sometimes but we felt we really saw a lot of different animals. Lions, Wildebeast, Giraffe's, Bufffalo's and many other. All in all we were surprised that we could have such a lovely safari with such a tight budget.

One of the best trips in a long time!!
We decided to go for the Classic Kenya Tour in May 2016. It was an unforgettable experience that I wouldn't want to miss in my recent travel history! The trip was on the one hand adventurous, but on the other hand we also had enough time to relax and let the daily life behind us. The nature was simply stunning and let us speechless in many occasions. It was great to see how welcoming people were and we were always offered extremely nice places to stay for the nights. Finally - and most importantly - the tour was very well organized and the guys were very responsive during the booking process and throughout the tour. The staff makes you feel really valued and you can establish good relationships. All in all definitely a trip that I can recommend to anyone - thanks again!

An Unforgettable experience you cannot miss!!
I can say without a doubt that Travel for change offers an excellent quality service and makes sure you have an unforgettable experience by arranging the best package tailored for you and your group. I worked at one of the community projects they support and can say that their willingness to support this projects makes Travel for Change a unique company! It not only provides you with amazing experiences by taking you to explore natural beauty of Kenya like I did, visiting Massai Mara with them, but also makes travelling even more purposeful and significant. When you know the company you travel with is positively impacting their community you know you have made the best decision in choosing them!

A well arranged safari and an impessive experience!
Our son stayed in Kenya for a period of time and we decided to go and visit him there.
You can’t possibly visit Kenya and not go on a safari so therefore we decided to book one. We booked our game drive’s with Travel for Change. It was our first time to visit Africa and we had no experience with safari’s but we trusted Travel for Change that everything would be in order.
We enjoyed the beautiful parks so much: Amboseli and Tsavo-west. The three of us we enjoyed the luxury of a private van. That was really a plus on the whole trip.
The driver was professional and able to tell us a lot about the wildlife, the nature and also the country. With constant energy he kept driving us around to either find that one group of Lions or this beautiful group of elephants with cubs which made our safari so wonderful. Our nights we spent either viewing the animals from our hotel room or in a safari tent. It was so special.
The final morning in Nairobi, when we had to wake up very early to go to the airport, our safari-driver was there again to pick us up from the hotel and make sure we arrived at the airport in time.
It was an impressive experience for us and we look back on a perfectly arranged safari.

An amazing first Safari experience
First, my Travel for Change contact, Patricia was able to get me into a van only a week in advance. I was volunteering for a small NGO in Ngong Hills for the month and she accommodated my last minute request beautifully. I loved our driver, who had a great sense of humor and an incredible amount of patience. As I found out, when taking safari in rainy season, anything can happen, and he was resourceful, cognizant of our short trip and did everything he could to deal with the bad roads due to rain. On the way to the Mara, when approaching a 3 vehicle situation where all were stuck trying to cross a very low, washed out bridge, he called ahead to someone at Masai Mara to come pick us up, (us 6 passengers) and take us for the evening ride through Masai Mara. At the time the 6 of us were walking around the bridge area, there were still about 6 vans waiting to get across. So, our driver was intuitive enough to make sure we got out, took the evening ride and he picked us up later to take us all to our respective accommodations. (We found out the next day that the other safari-goers were not so lucky to have a resourceful driver.)
Our driver shared all that he knew with us about the animals...as we all asked so many questions. He also pointed out the safety issues of being in such close proximity to wild animals and kept us within a safe distance at all times. At one point we saw a van with tourists very close to a rhino and he reiterated that he would not take us that close to a rhino due to their dangerous potential. All of us appreciated his safety sensibilities for our health & welfare. The rides both days were magnificent, gorgeous blue skies and unparalleled sunsets.
I truly enjoyed the tent facility, Sidai hotels and camps where I stayed. It was quiet, peaceful and we were met at check-in with hot face towels to take the grime off from many hours of travel. What a treat! The Masai men who ran the camp told us they patrolled all night to make sure we were safe. The food was excellent and the chef took us outside after breakfast one morning to show us a baboon about 40 feet away!
It was by far one of the grandest experiences I've ever had. The accommodations for were wonderful, the driver was fantastic and the Masai Mara was magnificent. Thank you Travel for Change Africa!
