Wonderful guided Kilimanjaro experience
Mid-May 2021 I summited Mt. Kilimanjaro with Tanzania Climbing Outfitters. It was nothing short of a magical experience. The communication with Herman was wonderful and his guiding skills (incl. knowledge on flora and fauna) are excellent. The group of porters were amazing and made the 7-day hike through beautiful Lemosho route a fun endeavour, and an extra beautiful one as they set up my tent every night in the most insane locations with beautiful views of Kili! I felt comfortable and safe every step of the way, was kept well fed, warm, and hydrated throughout my journey. Great value for money. I would definitely recommend Tanzania Climbing Outfitters to anyone!

Kilimanjaro
I visited Kilimanjaro with these guys. They are both nice and fun to be on tour with and handled everything very professionally.
My sister caught fever on the way and we split up. No problem, the extra guide took her back to Arusha.
My stomach wasn't cooperative. No problem, the chef adjusted the food.
My clothes got wet 12 hours before summit. No problem, the guys found a way to dry it.
On and on. These guys are genuine. 5/5.

Fantastic
We have had a awesome experience with Herman and his crew!
Everything was arranged from the moment we arrived at the Airport til the moment we left again.
The guides all speak great english and are happy to answer all your questions.
They take great care for your health and keep an extra eye on you when feeling unwell.

We had a super team who professionaly leaded us to the top
Herman leaded our group of 8 persons very professionaly and friendly to the top. Unfortunately 2 of us had to stop because of illness. His personal accompaniment to bring them to the valley was overwhelming and comforting for them and the left over group...
I would recomment Herman to be your enthousiastic, friendly, professional and driven guide!!!!

Incredible engagement and support all the way to the top
What an amazing trip! The guides were very knowledgable, spoke good english and were very supportive. We had a fairly big group going up fhe Kilimanjaro and almost every day there were people walking behind. Each time several guides stayed behind, never rushing them. One day someone had a hard time and we were falling so far behind we missed lunch (which you definitely need) and they arranged for porters to walk toward us from the camp to lunch with us, amazing. All the way to the top they supported us by keeping the mood up and guiding us through the darkness. Every guide that asked my name remembered it for the rest of the trip. And of course the wiater and chef deserve a prize, being able to cook so much food every night and making sure we’d eat enough. I have done several hikes and climbings but I have never had such amazing guides! Thank you Herman and crew!

Amazing experience & crew!
Two weeks ago I climbed the Kilimanjaro with Tanzania Climbing Outfitters, and it was the best experience of my life due to this amazing crew!!!!
Every single person was incredibly friendly, caring, skilled and professional. The entire journey was planned in detail, and the crew always kept an eye on us or helped out when needed. They even knew all our team members (23!) by name!
We were able to focus entirely on our hikes while they took care of our duffles, tents, food (they took dietary requirements into account!) and any other needs that made our journey very comfortable. All equipment they used was of high quality as well.
I never felt unsafe or insecure as the crew knew exactly what they were doing. It kind of felt like we were family during that week.
I would highly recommend others to book a Kilimanjaro trip with this organisation; you will have an amazing, unforgettable experience!

Great climb, great safari, great people
Completed 6 day Kili climb and then enjoyed 5 day safari directly after. Both qualify as top life experiences. Our climbing guides were skilled, experienced, and attune to our needs. They immediately recognized our climbing abilities and tailored the trip accordingly. Safari guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Safari accommodations were absolutely awesome and far beyond expectations for the price. TCO rocks!

Machame Route up Kilimanjaro
Can't say enough good things about Herman and his team. Herman was very responsive and flexible throughout the booking process. Once we landed in Tanzania, everything was taken care for us. We had a team of 14 lead two of us up Kilimanjaro on a 6 day climb and they could not have been more helpful and friendly. The work ethic of everyone on the staff from our guides to the cook to our waiter to the gentlemen who carried our bags was inspiring. Ezekiel and Andrew were great guides- right off the bat they were able to identify our skill level and planned our days accordingly. Most importantly, they got us to the top right at sunrise with relative ease.
The hike was unbelievably memorable- a good challenge but not overly strenuous and scenic the whole time. The price was unbelievably affordable as well. I highly recommend Tanzania Climbing Outfitters.

Kilimanjaro 5 star all-inclusive climbing trip.
We did a 2 person private 8-day climb via the Northern Circuit of the Kili. Our guides were really great people and did everything to make us feel good. The porters maked sure we arrived in a comfortable camp and the cook made lovely food 3 times a day. (Still don't know how he did it, but thanks Manuel!)
Even more important when things got tough, the guides were a great mental support and helped us to the top.
During the last part of the descent my left knee was really painfull and stopped working, the guides and porters just carried me to our camp on their back. They did everything just to make it as comfortable for us.
It's was a great experience, thanks to all the porters, our guides, Tumain and Dismass and Herman for the warm welcome in Tanzania.

We were climbing Mt Kilimanjaro with a group of 8. The welcoming was warm, the lodge very nice, the whole group guiding us was very friendly (every day the camp was ready at arrival and everybody was welcoming us and telling us we were doing a good job), the equipment (tents) was good, the food amazing! (3 meal courses throughout the whole week!) and the capable and patient guides made sure we all felt safe, healthy and happy during the whole week. After one week together it felt like we climbed with 48 friends in stead of 8. We felt sorry to leave the group, the mountain and the country. i would definitely recommend Herman & crew for exploring Tanzania. We hope to come back.
