Our best trip and experience ever!!!
Since our first contact with Uzuri Uganda Safari, all was perfect !
We travel to Uganda for our honey moon. The company adapted the accommodations to our budget, taking into account that was a special ocassion.
Our guide Vincent, was really really nice with us, he answer to all our questions, and explained us a lot of the wildlife. We really enjoy a lot to share our trip with him, we feel comfortable and he is a friendly guy.
We are really happy with Uzuri Safari!!!! Thanks for making our trip the best of our life.
Hope we have the possibility to be in contact again.

Eddie and his team are outstanding individuals.....
‘Wonderful trip and excellent handling’Right from my first enquiry, communications with Uzuri Uganda were excellent. Prompt replies, full and clear information given on all aspects of the trip from theircomprehensive knowledge of Uganda, to useful information concerning health, money and security. The itinerary planned for me was well thought out, taking intoconsideration my requests, with attention to detail. I was greeted at Entebbe airportand from there I knew that I was going to be in safe hands with Ronnie, who was my driver/guide for 9 days. As for the safari tour itself, this was outstanding and most definitely lived up to my expectations. Travel was in a comfortable land-cruiser, accommodation was great, the guides very knowledgeable about the country and wildlife. The safari began with a drive to Murchison Falls via Zziwa rhino sanctuary. I was happy to give to the Uganda Rhino Fund who are doing a wonderful job to nurture rhinos that were wiped out in the Uganda national parks before planned re-introduction in the future. The falls at Murchison are a spectacular sight. We continued to Kibale to see chimpanzees, encountered the treeclimbing lions in Queen Elizabeth National Park on the way to Bwindi for the gorillas. Nothing prepares you for the encounter with the gorillas! We found the gorilla family we tracked in a clearing which allowed us to really view and photograph the gorillas until the one hour was up. But of course the hour was up before we knew it. A baby gorilla came close and touched me and I will never forget this! The food and service at each of the places that Edris chose for me to stay was top notch. As well as the great enjoyment of the trip, I felt relaxed because of the personal service offered by this company. Nothing was too much trouble. I highly recommend them and intend to return with my whole family – again with Uzuri safaris.

Well organized tour, good accommodation booked, amazing experiences with both Gorillas and Chimps!
This was a great, well organized safari. Eszra was very responsive to our inquiries. Our guide shared lots of information on the country, local customs etc. The accommodation provided was very good. The food was good at all the lodges - basic, but you have to keep in mind this is Uganda. We had amazing experiences in both Bwindi Impenetrable and Kibale National Parks. In Bwindi we had 2 gorilla permits - one for the north and one for the south. The troop we went to see in the South was definitely less habituated than the one we saw in the North; but still a great experience. The hiking to see the gorillas can be quite rugged with steep ups and downs and I would recommend that if you have ANY mobility issues that you hire one of the local porters to help you out. We were very fortunate to have very close encounters with the Chimps in Kibale. Uganda is a beautiful country but it does take a long time to drive in-between places as the road infrastructure is not that great. Give yourself plenty of time to explore the country.

The excursions he chose were amazing- He found us great guides and wonderful adventures.
For improvement, I think just communication... for example we had no clear idea what to expect re. the border crossing and how and where to meet our guide. That was a bit unnerving.
He was, however, a very good guy and very kind. We felt he knew the areas and always felt good/safe when with him.
The side trips were great- though I would have preferred to stay in just 2 hotels total (not 3) for our 4 nights in Uganda.
We absolutely loved the Birdnest resort and the boat tour there and both the gorilla and golden monkey treks were outstanding!
Loved the Heaven restaurant (in Rwanda where we had lunch after landing there) and were glad we went to the Rwanda genocide museum where we learned more about the absolutely sad and horrific atrocities that occurred there.

Rwenzori Mountains, Car Transfer, Murchison Falls, Jinja
Edris the manager was always efficient at communicating and one of the reasons I chose this company was because Edris would take the time to reply quickly and provide more than enough information to my questions.
I had booked to climb the Rwenzori mountains first which was a day trip. This trip was more intense than I expected. I will say to anyone doing this expecting to climb the hill casually it will not be the case. We went to Ruboni Hill and climbed 2300 m in 3.5 hours and descended in 1.5 hours. The pace was very quick for a novice like me who has not walked up to this distance. I ended up feeling very unwell and had a tour booked the next day to to the crater lakes. I did not feel well enough to go and Edris understood this and cancelled my tour providing me with a refund even stating that my requirements were more important than cash. During the week he even checked to see I was okay.
The main tour I had booked with him included 3 nights at Murchison River Lodge, 2 nights at 2 Friends in Jinja and 1 night at Eureka Place Hotel in Kampala. First we visited the Rhino Sanctuary and we were really lucky to have seen lots of Rhinos that day.
Murchison River Lodge is really nice, but what you don't know is that you actually stay in a posh tent style place but the connecting bathroom was one of the best I had all week. The food is all included and water too. However the one downside with drinks is that the water is kept in the drivers car, and unless you remember to take some bottles for the evening you end up having to buy extra water with your dinner. I think that they should make sure they give you a few bottles each night or at least make it accessible to go to the car to get some. The game safari is great and the driver Vincent who was our driver all week knew lots about the animals and the spots that had less cars around too. The boat trip, and waterfalls were also great and Vincent was able to drive us to the top of the waterfalls as my dad was unable to trek to the top from the boat. This was great as it meant we didn't miss out on any parts of the trip. My favourite part was Budongo Forest looking for chimpanzees and I could have happily spent more time there.
The ATV ride in Jinja was great but the boat trip to the source of the nile lacked a spark. There is nothing to see apart from the sign that says the source of the nile so maybe something else could be incorporated here. The hotel at Jinja was nice too and so was the restaurant however here the driver had the money to pay and it wasn't directly included so you had to arrange a time with him to have dinner so he could pay.
The only negative of the week was the last day where all we saw was Sezibwa waterfalls and drove to Kampala. The hotel stayed in was poor, including service and food where half the menu even a sandwich wasn't on offer. However, I have informed Edris of this and his communication and dealing with the matter was very prompt and professional.
One thing for sure is that unlike other tour companies this company pride themselves in customer service. Even Vincent managed to listen to my dad talking non stop and took him to a street so he could take pictures for a friend. They go out of there way to make sure you are happy. Would definitely recommend this company.

The Uzuri team went above and beyond to create a truly magical safari for us. Trip of a lifetime!
The Uzuri team's communication and customer service was exceptional from day one through to the end of our safari. As someone who has traveled extensively, I appreciated how thoughtful, responsive and caring the team was and how well they took care of our needs. We had a group of four, ranging in age from 30's - 70's and they made sure everyone had a great time. The places we stayed in Uganda were carefully chosen for their location, quality and stunning backdrops (from Queen Elizabeth National Park to Kibale to Bwindi to Lake Bunyonyi). I loved the itinerary they arranged and the care they took to ensure we experienced the very best of the wildlife / game drives / hiking with mountain gorillas and chimpanzees, as well as seeing local communities (including a visit to a salt mine) and some of the best local cuisine I've ever had in all my trips to East Africa. We especially appreciated having Samuel Wako as our expert safari guide. He made the entire trip fun, engaging, lively and inspiring.Thank you, asante sana, webale, neyanzizah to the whole Uzuri team!

Amazing 8 day Chimp and Gorilla tour in Uganda
We were very impressed with our 8 day/7 night safari with Uganda with Uzuri Safaris. Starting the first night, staying at a wonderful guest house at Karibu Entebbe to our last night at the Birdnest Resort in Bunyonyi, we felt we got the best experience possible. The guest houses/lodges were lovely and close to our daily destinations, with great service and food. Our guide Samuel was a very skilled and safe driver and very knowledgeable about the wild life, habitats, etc.. Our emails were promptly answered and the trip was above our expectations. We would highly recommend Uzuri Uganda Safaris for anyone interested in visiting the wildlife in Uganda.
