good quality price
all very correct. Mika very helpful, he helped us with a lost suitcase.
Martin the driver the best we could have. Fast, efficient and polite
The worst is the hotel where they book us up the first day (Embassy) and some of the meals, but that no longer depends on them

Reactive and pro
The safari was amazing, our driver knew the reserve very well and we saw a lot of animals. He was very pro.
The accommodation was ok.
Legit tour! Affordable budget option
As a first timer, reading so many reviews and feedbacks from all agencies, this agency is really good and legit. Overall, i felt secured since then with Mika. He gives information a lot and answer promptly to my queries. I paid cash on their office at Nairobi.
Before the tour, he explained everything what shall we expect. And we feel happy about his service. Since day, the driver, Boniface, pick us up from our apartment and drop to his office. Then collecting all the passengers for the 1 van from different company. In the 1st 3 days, we were 8 but these 2 guys extended their Masai Mara for a day, so on the 4th day we are only 6 like the other van.
The food was ok, mostly was beef stew, lentil, egg(packed lunch), spinach, fried chx(packed lunc)h,etc. I had diarrhea and i dont know whats the reason. Just better bring ibuprofen with you. The food is bland and repeated for 7 days. Nothing much to be excited about it. Expect this food also in other budget tour even with other companies.
Always bring bug repellant with you even you stay in a hotel as there’s still mosquito.
Boniface is fine for me but other people with us cant understand him much when he was explaining and discussing about the animals and more.
Summary, the tour is worth the money you paid comparing to the other tours. It has cheaper price but you will get the same quality with other agencies.

Good communication, you Will get what you have booked for.
We appreciated the good communication. Immediate and clear response to all questions. Very helpful. Upon booking you Will receive a clear documentation file with details. So you Know what you can expect (what is in, what is out).
The travel agency collaborates with other small agencies, so in practice (for a budget safari), People of different agencies van be joined in one minivan. But in principle that should not be a problem as they all offer the same program... However, it may be the case that other travel agencies do not provide clear info on the details... And in case that these travellers are quite demanding, this may cause some problem. In that case, it is up to the driver to solve the problem...
Our driver/guide, Ken, did An excellent job trying to fullfill the demands of the persons from different agencies (which was not that easy...), But he managed!
We had a wonderful safari and we were Lucky to see the big five (quite some Lions!), the river crossing,.... The whole package! He did all the efforts to give us the best experience! Thank you Ken! Me and my family enjoyed it very much!
One last word on the program. We booked the 3-day safari, meaning one evening drive, one full day drive, morning drive before return to Nairobi.
Forget about the morning drive... Opt for the extended full day drive (6am-6pm), so you Will have more chance to get to the Mara river to see the crossing and all the other things. The morning drive is less of interest as you can not drive far into the park (that part you have been already, and the best you Will only see further away). The 3th day you can visit the Masai village instead. In principle you need to discuss/agree with your fellow travellers, And it costs extra... It is advisable to negotiate upfront.
In short: we recommend this Company, we recommend Our guide Ken!

Well organized
We did a 3-day-safari Masai Mara NP. Ken was an extremely good driver. He managed the roads very good.
We saw a lot of animals there like zebras, elephants, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, shakals,...
Mika gave us a nice service (pick up at hotel, organize taxi for driving home, money transfer). We felt comfortable with that. We stepped easily from one step to the other the whole trip. Meals were good.
We would have wished more explanations about what we saw in the park, some informations about the animals.
So, you have to ask if you want to know something :)

well managed
I (single traveler with request to join a group) booked 4 days, 3 nights, Masai Mara + Lake Nakuru safari with 4x4
Kakitu our driver and guide for Masai Mara was energetic with keen eye for locating animals
The stay was fine.
For Lake Nakuru due to non-availability of fellow travelers had to go with private Van (costed additional) but the arrangement and transfers were well managed.
Thank you Mika (tour manager) for arranging the entire tour.

3 days safari in the Masai Mara
The communication before the tour was great and efficient, and the pick up from our hotel in Nairobi was smooth. The vehicle (we chose the 4x4 jeep for our 3 day safari) was comfortable for the long ride to Masai Mara and there were regular wash room breaks.
The Safari itself was wonderful, seeing 4 of the big 5 plus many other animals. Our guide, Richard, was very well educated on all the animals and birds we saw. My only criticism was how much time he spent on his mobile phone during the safari tours when I felt he could have been focusing on engaging with us/ spotting animals.
The accommodation (Lenchada Camp) wasn’t that great for us - the tent door zip kept breaking, our tent was swarming with mosquitos when we arrived and the bathroom light was broken, however others on our tour didn’t seem to have the same problems. The food at the camp was really delicious - kudos to the chef.
Overall I would recommend the safari as an affordable option.

Cool Safari experience in Tanzania!
Experience with Okoa africa tours was Great, would just wish a bit more help with a choice of the tour beforehand. It is very important to choose the right spots at the right times because of animals migration and weather condition. The communication was from the beginning flawless.
We visited central and southern part of Serengeti during migration, Ngorogoro crater (the best!) and lake Manyara and stayed 3 nights. After seeing it I would next time exchange lake Manyara for Tarangire NP for the variety of animals, but also like this it was great as all 3 NPs offer you very different view on the nature (savannah, tropical forest, lakes, crater).
Our guide Halifa was absolutely amazing and knew so much about all the animals and plants and was very flexible regarding our plans and answering all our curious questions. We did the camping tour so we also had our Chef Sokofo always with us and he was just the best! Did not expect having such great food in the middle of nature. Campsites were all very clean and enjoyable, but be prepared to sleep surrounded by animals (not dangerous, just a strange feeling when a buffalo feeds himself with a grass right around your tent.
The price is very appropriate for the experience you get, it was just stunning!

Amazing safari experiences in Kenya & Tanzania
Communication was excellent! Mark made sure he answers to all our questions - before, during and after the trip. He explained very well on the details so we could get our expectations right. We had quite a short time in Africa but wanted to do both Kenya and Tanzania Safari and Mark got that arranged very well. The safari will not disappoint you. Thanks to our drivers Richard (Kenya) and Saleh (Tanzania) we got to see all the big 5 plus some other animals we've never seen before! They were both very experienced and they can kinda predict where the animals will be. Our chef Buga also is a very good cook! Accommodations were all as expected. Our only complaint/confusion was when suddenly there was another tourist transferred into our van in Kenya on our 2nd day (not as scheduled) so the van was a bit cramped for the next 3 days. But other than that everything else was great!

Great Safari, average tour
We had a great safari full day (6am-6pm) and saw everything we could have hoped. The accomodation was great, with helpful friendly staff and delicious food. However, it's more of a full safari day than a 3 days tour. Day 1 only includes an hour drive, and day 3 is merely getting back to Nairobi, which, unfortunately, happened in a small taxi and not in the original van as some other members of our group moved on to their next location. An overall good experience.
