friendly, knowledgable, and professional
My sister and I booked a five-day safari with Home to Africa, starting and ending in Kampala with visits to Queen Elizabeth Park and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. We had a wonderful time getting to know the country of Uganda and I would recommend Home to Africa to anyone without hesitation.
* prior to our arrival, the office staff customized our trip and helped to meet our lodging preferences
* our driver and guide, Paul (Sunshine!), is an encyclopedia of knowledge, an excellent driver, and knows how much information to provide - and when - to properly prepare guests for the next adventure
* communication before, during and after the safari was efficient and comprehensive
* the pricing was competitive
Thank you to Paul, Edward and all the Home to Africa staff for a fantastic safari experience. I hope that we get to come back for another one!

We did the lot! Well planned and well delivered Safari experience!
We were greeted at Entebbe airport and from there we knew that we were going to be in safe hands with our guide Moses. We travelled across 5 of the National Parks over 12 days, which was a lot of travelling but totally worth it. We started our Safari at Murchison National Park, enjoyed all of the wildlife including seeing the stunning falls and a Leopard! We then travelled South to Kibale Forest, due to a unavoidable diversion the journey took longer than originally planned so we arrived in the dark at Chimps Nest which wasn't ideal as the showers were outside but the food was great and had good conversation with other guests that evening so just one of those things. The next day we did the Chimp trekking in to the forest and it was so incredible to see a whole family of Chimpanzees come down from the trees and join us. We then travelled further south again and stopped at Queen Elizabeth National Park, from the lodge we stayed at we could see and hear the Hippo in the river below. In this National Park we finally were able to see the King of the Cats a pair of Lions and then separately in Ishasha a Lioness climbing in a tree! Our next stop was Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and the hospitality of staff here at Trekkers Tavern was so wonderful and it truly was the highlight of the trip to see Gorillas and spend over an hour with a group of 12 of them. It was a real moment in life to treasure. Our final National Park that we went to was Lake Mburu National Park were we were nearly scared by a cheeky monkey trying to jump in to the car (fortunately only nearly!) It was also lovely that we were able to stop for a while to see some friends of our in Lukaya on our way back towards Kampala. We also managed to then have a day trip to Jinja which was nice to see including one of the sources of the Nile!

Making a plan, to fit my requirements
I was on conference in Uganda, and decided to try my luck in doing a Gorilla tour, with the 2,5 days I had available after the conference, before my flight home. Not only was Elly very quick to respond to my initial enquiries (and all mail subsequently), but he was also able to tailor the usual 3 days package, which the other operators did not offer. By changing my second night stay, he was able to get me back to the airport on time, without risking driving at night after the trekking.
My pick up was 10 minutes early (always a good sign), accompanied by a company representative, and the guide.
The tour guide, Tom Karwani, was clearly experienced. His vehicle was super clean, neat and in perfect working order. I was travelling solo, and spent the next 3 days with Tom, driving, eating, chatting, enjoying the scenery and companionable silences. We talked about politics (both his and mine), families, economies, conservation and I challenged him to a quiz app. After a few false starts, we eventually made the high scores!
About the accommodation? Night one was rustic. I love camping, so finding a perfectly located tented camp in the forest, was a treat. And hot water shower luxury is always a bargain when "eco-locating". The second best score Broadbill camp earned, was for the roaring lounge fire, on a cold night. And the best score, was for the hot water bottle in my bed. Made a great cocoon nest for the night. I am sorry I could not stay there the second night.
The gorilla excursion went off without a hitch. All paperwork was done, and the rangers were professional, friendly and helpful. Use of porters is not required, but I was happy to support the local community in this way. And I was happy to tip the staff, for tracking the gorillas from early morning, resulting in our small group finding the gorillas within 10 minutes. I understand we were particularly lucky in this regard.
The gorillas you have to experience for yourself. It is very special.
The second night was spent in a superb modern and top class hotel in Mbarara. Igongo Country Hotel. With all the modern conveniences, and a personal guided tour of the museum and culture village, I enjoyed my stay here too.
All in all, the service providers Elly had picked, and the regular whatsapps to check if everything was OK, made my adventure thoroughly enjoyable, and safe. Thank you.

Excellent, responsive, on time, polite and extremely knowledgeable guides.
Communication was perfect. They responded positively to a number of last minute changes we had to make. Introduced our group to the wonders of wild life in Uganda. Every member loved our guides: Paul and Abdul.

Wonderful trip to Uganda, the "Pearl of Africa"!
We had an absolutely fabulous experience with Home To Africa Tours. Edward and Elias were extremely helpful in arranging the tour and their communication was excellent. They even went out of their way to secure a bag from the airport that was misplaced by our US airline. I can't say enough about how helpful they were. For the tour, we had a private guided tour for 3 persons. We visited Queen Elizabeth Park and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Our guide, Paul, was outstanding!!! His knowledge of the parks, the wildlife (especially birds) and the local culture was fantastic. We had a great time on our trip and would love to see other parts of Uganda - it is such a beautiful country. I highly recommend Home To Africa Tours and their wonderful staff.

We booked our safari with Home to Africa Tours and Safari and Elias. Elias was the master planner and did an excellent job in planning, changing and rearranging our trip to give us the best safari and fulfill our wishes. Elias kept contact with us either in person or via our guide through out our vacation making sure we were satisfied. Our vacation in Uganda is one of our best vacations ever.

Up close and personal escribes the incredible experience we had on River Nile and on saffari .
Our group of university students were thrilled to learn that we would not only visit Uganda but also spend 3 days viewing the Murchison Falls national park and see all the wonderful animals, birds and natural environment of that location. Our experience with the staff and drivers from Home to Africa Tours and Travel was outstanding. They accommodated our travel needs and did so with great courtesy. Having traveled in Uganda multiple times, I appreciated their careful safe driving and comfortable vehicles. We will surely return to them to book future trips!

Fantastic trip.
I had a great trip to Uganda, and I am happy to have been traveling with Home to Africa. Got many good photos of the many beautiful animals that can be found in Uganda, the gorilla tracking was a fantastic experience and I will definitely do it again.
