5 Day Gorilla Trekking Tour
My wife and I had an amazing experience with Home to Africa and Karim as our tour guide. He was knowledgable, smart, funny and a joy to be around. We felt safe and in good hands as soon as we were picked up from the airport and dropped off at the end of the tour. All of the accomodations/lodges we stayed in exceeded our expectations and were very comfortable. Everything was organized perfectly for a smooth tour. We booked this tour to mainly do the gorilla trekking but all the other days were amazing. We saw chimpanzees, elephants, hippos, lions, crocodiles, water buffalo, impala, wart hogs, many species of birds, and even a leopard in a tree in Queen Elizabeth National Park! I 100% recommend Home to Africa as a tour operator and ask for Karim to have an adventure of a lifetime.

Friendly driver and well organised trip
First time in Africa, so didnt know what to expect. We were very good supported by our driver Derrick who helped us in case we needed something. Nothing was to much and he helped to make this experience unforgettable. He made sure we saw and learned as much from the country as possible. We stayed in nice places. Only the last lodge in queen Elizabeth where we stayed longer was quite disappointing. Manager was not really friendly, almost blamed for not eating all of our food. The rooms were never cleaned in the 4d and lot of things were not working properly. We expected more from a mid range lodge (as asked). Otherwise no complaints and only good experiences of this whole trip.

Good experience with home to africa
We had a good experience with home to Africa.
Our driver Derrick was a very good driver and guide. Gave us all the information we wanted, was very patient and made sure we saw as much as possible during our trip.
Friendly at all time.
The first lodges were very nice. We were only disappointed by the last lodge that turned out a lot less than expected.
People were often not friendly and a lot of things were not working.
Sad, because otherwise a great experience!

Uganda at its best
Our experience with Home to Africa was exceptional. Hedmond in the front office was easy to work with, responding to all our questions and supplying us with numerous suggestions and solutions for our 12 day safari .
Our personal guide and driver, Derrick, was excellent. He gave us a wealth of information on the culture, sights, and animals of Uganda. Derrick speaks 7 languages and was able to converse with everyone we encountered. He went above and beyond to make this our very best vacation.
Each day was a new experience: visiting national parks, walking in the bush, and taking river boat rides or night game drives.
If you intend to visit Uganda, this is the company to contact.

Very well organized trip with an excellent guide
We had a 8 day safari trip of bird watching and primates. It was very well organized. Our guide-driver, Amos, was amazing: fluent in English, highly intelligent, knowledgeable, kind and patient, He took care of everything and was just fun to hang out with. The amount and beauty of the species we encountered went beyond our expectations - a new wonder every day. We saw many of the Albertine Rift endemic birds and unique mammals (chimps, gorillas, lion etc.) with the help of excellent local guides. The activities were varied: game drive, hiking and boat ride. Communication with Hedmond, the sales manger was very good and everything went as planned. The service at the lodges was also very good. We highly recommend this company and guide.
Amazing experience
We had an 8-day private safari through the whole Uganda. The program was tailored to our needs, and we were able to see a lot: toured through 5 national parks, seen the big 5 (including rhinos in Ziwa sanctuary, lions very close by and a leopard jumping from a tree and going hunting).
The tour operator is great - they always fulfil our asks. We booked economy accommodation, but one of our lodges was still mid-range! The giude, Brian, is great - very knowledgeable and experienced. We cannot believe how he could have noticed a leopard in the tree by seeing only its tail very far away, and he did that twice! We really loved our trip with Brian.

Very good. I would repeat myself. Thank you for everything
I would like to thank you for an excellently organized vacation, and when you add to that the super guide KARIM with his knowledge, it is an unrepeatable experience in Uganda. Excellent organization, we saw everything we wanted. We had a great time, the safari is amazing, seeing animals in the wild is a wonderful experience. Experience for the rest of your life

Wonderful time in Uganda
Solo traveler - Communication from the start was excellent , extremely fast in response and detailed plan of what the tour will be and what I should I expect from it. I did change the plan couple of time and they were very accommodating. My tour guide Brian was brilliant ! always showed up on time , answered any questions I had ( I asked alot) , funny and made sure every picture I wanted to take was taken . my experience wouldn't have been the same if it wasn't for Brian.
if you are considering visiting Uganda use Home to Africa and ask for Brian !

Client-oriented and experienced tour operator worth every penny
I was a bit hesitant to book a safari with a foreign african company, however booking with Home To Africa was a great decision.
They respond quickly, even during the night. They answer all of your questions tirelessly, explain, help plan, provide itinerary in advance.
The safari and adventure itself was 10/10 and every single thing we aimed to experience was delivered. Home To Africe took a great care of us and our guide KARIM was one of the best guides I have ever worked with. He was extremely helpful, curteous, knowledgeable, kind and made our wishes come true.
This adventure is definitely worth your time and money, Home To Africa is a proper company that is client-oriented and Karim was number 1.
We visited Rwanda, Uganda and Tanzania and I cannot recommend more.
Do not hesitate!

Home to Africa is the best choice ....
I never write reviews, which is funny because I read all of them. HOME TO AFRICE delivered more then a trip of a life time. We made life long friendships. We booked Gorilla trekking in both Uganda and Rwanda. Everything was taken care and we where left not wanting to anything. We did the habituation trek in Uganda. It was the most challenging adventure of my life and worth every moment. The trek in Rwanda was complete different. The trek in Rwanda was not as difficult (thank goodness). I'm so happy we did both of them because of the chance to have 2 complete different experience's. Uganda was more trees and dark. Rwanda was more lush and green.
Karim Walugembe was our Uganda Safari guide. We were with him for 5 wonderful day. Karim is there head safari guide in Uganda and has been a guide for 15 yrs. We had so many good fortunes on our trip (good weather even though its rainy season, lodges to our selves, amazing food). The best fortune was getting Karim as our guide. He has years of knowledge and knowhow. I feel very strongly that the wrong guide could make or break your safari. Karim did more then make our trip, he left me with life long memories people can only hope to dream about. Bosco was our Rwanda guide. we were with him for 2 days. He did a great job as well. We are already planning our next trip back.
