Another Amazing experience from Axis Africa & Safaris
We were so impressed by last years safari that We requested to have Kikitu as our driver and guide again this year. We spent an amazing week exploring Nakuru, Amboseli, Tsavo East and West, and Nairobi National Park. The experiences we had were amazing. Lions ambushing zebras at a watering hole. Lions being chased off by elephants and it was like we were in a National Geographic Special. We enjoyed our time so much that we already booked our return in July for the Great Migration with Kikitu and Axis Africa & Safaris. Kikitu is such a great guide and put us right in the spot to get all of the photos we wanted. He is very knowledgeable and we learned a lot from him. Anyone that's considering on going to Kenya I would not hesitate to book with them.

Expert service for excellent price
The communication of the team exceeded any expectations from the start - my email and whatsapp messages got quick responses at all hours.
The tour arrangements were efficient and professional. We needed to store some luggage for the duration of the safari, and this was handled without any extra hassles for us.
The safari itself was a very memorable experience, including the (looong) drive, the accommodation, and of course, Masai Mara. Our guide Joshua was knowledgeable, relaxed and accommodating to our wishes.
I would happily repeat the trip!

Great value for money, friendly, helpful staff, incredible experience.
We originally booked the safari for 4 people and the team were great about giving us all the required detail. OUr booking then changed to 5, and then to 6 and they were great about accommodating this. Having done safari in Ngorogoro Crater, and Chloe in Botswana, I was really hoping this would be a good one - and it did not disappoint. Everything ran seamlessly, the driver (Richard) was fantastic and very helpful - but without being overbearing/invasive as some drivers can be. We also was felt very safe with him and the whole experience was excellent for everyone (me, my sisters and brother (24 - 24) and my parents (63)).

It was ok, but overpriced and kind of sketchy
The van was comfortable enough but very old and without AC, so be prepared for that. Our driver was nice, the places we stopped for food were not clean. (Bring toiler paper and hand sanitizer with you) All the restaurants are buffet style and left in serving wear that was sitting out for much longer then I feel is safe.
We were meant to go into the Masai Mara for 2 days, but the driver talked us into only going for one "extra long" day, which was only an hour longer then the day was originally meant to be. He also told us we could go into the Serengeti and instead took us to the border and told us that was it. In the end we paid for two days when we only had about 12 hours, allowing them to pocket the extra cash that would have been spent on the next days entry fee.
The place we camped was ok, not like it was pictured but it was acceptable and the people who worked there were nice. There was an overwhelming pressure from Axis to pay up front and in cash. One day included a picnic lunch, which was precooked chicken that wasn't kept in a cooler, but in cardboard box and ended up giving me food poisoning. I would recommend brining your own snacks.
After the trip we were informed that they are being looked into for questionable practices.
I wouldn't book with them again, especially since there are rumors surrounding the legitimacy of their practices.

Posted on Mar 26, 2019Hi Kandice
We are very disappointed for this negative feedback that you have chosen to share , there is no way that one can go to Serengeti national park in Tanzania the same day he is doing Masai Mara, the program indicated very well that during the full day you will be inside Masai Mara park and visit the Masai Mara river which is close to the border separating Masai Mara and Serengeti, no where we mentioned that you will cross to enter Serengeti on this day, this is a language misunderstanding that you did not understand even after explaining to you physically.
About the food, we highly apologize, we have since made the camp partner aware of this case and they have promised to change there packaging of picnic lunch.
About overcharging, that's also not so, you were doing a safari that is longer compared to the rest in your group and that would only mean a slightly higher price for you.
We would like to clarify that we are not illegitimate company as you have mentioned, we have an office which you came to and are licensed by the government, this was a case of misunderstanding on the wording of the itinerary, which if you engaged us we have amicably resolved.
We however believe that the customer /client has to be always right and therefore highly apologize for everything that went negative.

Excellent Tour with Kikitu
I booked a 3-day safari with Axis, and the entire experience was fantastic. I was picked up and dropped off from my hotel and was warmly welcomed at the tourist camp. Each day, we were given home-cooked meals and plenty of water during the safari rides. Kikitu was also an incredibly fun, informative guide who ensured that our group saw as much as possible on our tour! He was even able to schedule a morning trip to the local Masai village. Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend both Axis and Kikitu as a tour guide!

Our guide and driver Joshua was very experienced. We saw all big five:)
The tour was better than I expected. Lennox assisted very well during bookings. Joshua (guide) was quite experienced. Hats off to his driving skills. The only thing that you guys can work on is to have better belts in the safari van. Perfect for women solo travellers:)

Perfectly performed 3-day trip from Nairobi to Masai Mara thanks to their effortless support.
Made my booking on internet and the company contacted me almost immediately to confirm my booking and so they continued throughout the whole safari. Called me to inform me when I would be picked up from my hotel, when in Mara the pick up times for trips into the park and so on. In Mara everything possible was done so we would be able to see as much animals as possible, of course the Big Five as well.
On our way back to Nairobi one of us became sick and had to visit a medical clinic, before we could continue, pwhich had not been so easy to do without the effortless support from their driver, The Captain (Abdullah).
I definitely recommend the company to those who wants to go to Masai Mara.
