Kush guided us on an unforgettable Journey through Africa’s Untamed Beauty
If you're seeking an African safari experience that combines great service with an authentic touch, Axis Africa Expedition & Safaris is the tour operator to choose. From the moment we reached out to them, their communication was prompt, informative, and tailored to my interests. They provided detailed itineraries and were always available to address my queries, making the planning process a breeze.
The service throughout the safari was outstanding. Kush was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about wildlife, ensuring every game drive was both thrilling and educational. The mid range accommodations were good, offering comfort amidst the wilderness.
Overall, the tour itself was a breathtaking adventure. From the awe-inspiring wildlife sightings to the serene beauty of the landscapes, every moment was memorable. I highly recommend Axis Africa Expedition & Safaris to fellow travelers looking for a seamless and extraordinary safari experience.

Incredible and amazing experience where we saw a LOT of wildlife up close! Very well-organized
A good guide knows where the animals are; a great one is flexible, learning quickly what their clients are looking for and finding ways to deliver it. Jack from Axis was definitely the latter. One of our group on our 9-day safari had a high-powered camera, and getting the right angle and lighting is actually more important than getting as close as possible. Jack picked this up quickly and we were able to get some fantastic pictures as a result.
Jack found us all the animals we were looking for and then some, and we had some extraordinary experiences. Nursing baby elephants, boxing lionesses, a hyena and vultures feasting on a fresh kill. Everything was well-arranged and went smoothly.
Some notes for others considering a safari (and feel free to reach out with questions):
- BRING A GOOD CAMERA. If you bring a cheap one, you’ll be tempted to get dangerously close to the animals to get a usable photo. That temptation is hard to resist. We saw a leopard almost get hit by another outfit’s jeep because the tourists in it wanted a cell phone selfie.
- You’ll see the most animals in Masai Mara, but because it’s so crowded the quality of sighting isn’t as good. We had elephants come right up to the jeep in Samburu and investigate it with their trunks. No way you’ll see that in Masai Mara.
- Carnivores are always more rare than herbivores. If you see one or think you see one, you should stop. No guarantee you’ll see another.
- I’d recommend doing either Lake Nakuru OR Lake Naivasha. They’re similar environments. Of the two Lake Nakuru had flamingos, but it was also much more crowded.
- Samburu was amazing but quite a drive, consider shelling out for a flight if your budget allows it. It will save you a full day of driving.
- Kenya isn’t exactly a foodie destination, but if you come in with the right expectations, it’s fine.
- Don’t be put off by all the high-powered rifles; they’re for poachers, not robberies/assaults of people.

Great organization if the safari with an amazing tour guide and driver
Communication with Cindy was great from the beginning. She helped us choose the safari based on our criteria. People at the enkorok camp were super friendly and helpful. Arnold helped us to confirm our flight to tanzania as well because of a technical issue. The safari itself was amazing and Johnny Jackson was extremely experience and good on spotting all the animals in the park.

Amazing experience on a budget
As a femalw Mexican traveler with a Colombian friend, we were initially overwhelmed by the countless tour options available for our Kenyan adventure. However, Axis Africa Safari stood out due to its affordable pricing and positive reviews. Our decision to choose them proved to be a fantastic one.
From the moment they picked us up at our hotel in Nairobi, we felt well taken care of. The 4x4 journey to Masai Mara was comfortable and informative, thanks to our knowledgeable guide, Moises. The camping experience was surprisingly great, with spacious tents, clean facilities, and delicious buffet-style meals.
We spent two nights at the campsite, exploring the stunning Masai Mara and immersing ourselves in the rich culture of the Masai people. Our subsequent stay at a hotel in Nakuru provided a much-needed break from camping, with amenities like a pool, gym, and spa.
Moises' expertise and passion for Kenya were evident throughout our trip. He shared fascinating insights into the local wildlife, history, and culture, ensuring we had an unforgettable experience. Our friends and family were captivated by our photos and Instagram stories, and many have expressed interest in visiting Kenya themselves.
Without hesitation, I would highly recommend Axis Africa Safari to anyone seeking a memorable and authentic Kenyan adventure. Their affordable pricing, excellent service, and knowledgeable guides make them an ideal choice for travelers of all backgrounds.

Holiday of a lifetime for me and my 10 year old son
The safari was an amazing experience, with a variety of national parks and of ways of getting about - 4 by 4, boat, cycling and walking safaris. The arrangements were well organised and communications were easy, via email and WhatsApp, always with fast responses. The guide was fantastic - knowledgeable about the parks and wildlife, a great driver, and always cheerful. We saw lots of wildlife, including all of the 'big 5'. The holiday was great value for money. There were two price options and I was glad I went for the more expensive one, so that my son (a swimming-loving fussy eater) could benefit from staying at hotels/lodges with a pool, large, comfy bedrooms and international restaurants.
