Maasai Mara Private tour
We had an absolutely amazing experience in the Maasai Mara! Our tour guide, Nelson, was exceptional—knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly skilled at spotting wildlife. Thanks to his expertise, we were lucky enough to see the Big Five, which made this trip truly unforgettable.

Our family spent an unforgettable 5 days on safari: 2 days in Masai Mara, 1 day in Nakuru, 1 day in Naivasha, and 1 day in Amboseli. It was truly one of the best travel experiences we've ever had.
Our guide, Peter Kapino, was exceptional and went far beyond our expectations. His excellent driving skills and deep knowledge of wildlife behavior, animal habitats, and daily routines allowed us to see the Big Five, the "Big Ugly Five," countless bird species, and even elusive animals such as cheetahs, leopards, lions, and black rhinos. It was clear that his experience and expertise made all the difference.
Peter was also incredibly patient, kind, friendly, and professional throughout the entire trip, making every game drive enjoyable and memorable.
Axis was outstanding from the very beginning. They provided detailed information about the different safari options, pricing, and what was included, and they were always responsive to our questions, making the planning process smooth and stress-free.

The Tour operator was exceptional, and booking was really smooth. We felt extremely welcome.
We had an amazing safari experience with Tom. He was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and gave us interesting facts about every animal as we moved across the Maasai Mara. He made the whole trip enjoyable from start to finish, and we seen so many animals. He was patient and allowed us to take photos and videos, while not disturbing the animals. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide and we would highly recommend Tom to anyone doing the safari!

In my experience with Axis Africa, I was able to see and do everything I could have ever hoped for. An Unforgettable Safari with an Exceptional Guide
We had a wonderful safari experience with Axis Africa Safaris. Communicating and planning with Axis was very easy from the start. They were always quick to respond, and the fact that most of the communication was done through WhatsApp made the whole process even easier and more convenient.
We especially want to recognize our guide, Peter Kapino. Peter was amazing throughout the trip. He was very friendly, patient, and accommodating, always understanding the different needs of our family and making sure everyone felt comfortable. It was clear from the beginning that he puts real passion into his work.
His knowledge of wildlife is excellent, and we were especially impressed by his deep knowledge of birds. He knew the animals, the parks, and the best times to start each day so we could have the best possible sightings. His experience and understanding of the places we visited made a big difference in our safari.
We are very grateful for Peter’s kindness, professionalism, and enthusiasm. He helped make this trip truly memorable. We highly recommend Axis Africa Safaris, and especially Peter Kapino as a guide.

The best of the best
I booked this 5-day Maasai Mara safari just one week in advance, and I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly the Axis Africa team responded after I registered my interest through a safari booking website. They immediately provided me with several options to choose from and even arranged airport pickup from Nairobi Airport to their office.
My flight was delayed due to boarding procedures, but the driver waited patiently for me without any issues, which I really appreciated.
The safari itself exceeded all my expectations. I was especially lucky to have Kelvin Mimi as our guide. He isn't overly talkative, but he is incredibly knowledgeable and professional. No matter what questions we asked about the wildlife or the Maasai Mara, he patiently explained everything in detail and shared fascinating background information.
Thanks to his expertise and dedication, we were able to see everything we had hoped for, and every game drive was full of wonderful surprises. I have no hesitation in recommending Kelvin Mimi and Axis Africa to anyone looking for an unforgettable safari experience.

Patient, respectful and knowledgeable
The expedition was incredible. We were able to spot 4 out of the big 5. Tom was always on top of everything and allowed us to see the animals from privileged spots without it being too unconfortable for them. He had great knowledge about the different animals and explained a lot during the game drives.
It was my first time on a Safari and it was a great experience. Tom surprised us with a moment outside of the Jeep during sunset for some reflections and sharing. It was really special.
