An Unforgettable Masai Mara Safari with Axis Africa Safari!
We had an absolutely amazing game drive in the Masai Mara in late August, and our experience with Axis Africa Safari was exceptional from start to finish. Everything was very well organized, and the team was attentive, professional, and genuinely committed to making our safari special.
Most importantly, we were incredibly lucky to have Saddam as our guide. He is simply the best! His knowledge of the Masai Mara, his understanding of animal behavior, and his ability to spot wildlife were outstanding. Thanks to him, we had unforgettable sightings of lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, and so much more—we were fortunate enough to see all of the Big Five!
But what truly made the experience special was Saddam himself. He is cheerful, friendly, hardworking, and has such a wonderful personality. His enthusiasm and dedication made every game drive exciting, and it was clear that he genuinely cared about giving us the best possible experience.
We cannot thank Saddam enough for all his hard work and for making our safari such a memorable one. If we return to the Masai Mara in the future, we would absolutely want Saddam to be our guide again for every game drive.

Excellent Company and Driver/Guide
The company provided us with a complete 4 day safari tour, a professional team from the office staff who let us stored our luggage’s while at the safari. We had our driver/guide Collins who’s gone beyond our expectations & take pride of his job with many many years of experienced and made us feel safe at all times.we have learned a lot about the Safari in Maasai Mara. And have seen an abundance of animals. We Would recommend this company a thousand times specially our driver/guide who speaks in English, Spanish and Italian. A truly amazing and unforgettable experience that would stay with us forever. Thank You!

Amazing Kenya safari with Axis Safaris—guide Peter Kapino was expert, kind, and truly unforgettable
We traveled from the UAE to Kenya for a safari with Axis Safaris, and it exceeded all our expectations. Our guide, Peter Kapino, was exceptional—deeply knowledgeable about the wildlife and terrain, and clearly experienced in tracking animals, which meant we were fortunate enough to see both the Big Five and the elusive Ugly Five. Beyond his expertise, Peter was warm, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure we were comfortable and enjoying every part of the trip. A definite highlight was the hot air balloon ride, which offered breathtaking views and made the experience even more special. I'd highly recommend Axis Safaris, and Peter in particular, to anyone looking for a well-guided and truly memorable Kenyan safari.

An amazing safari experience with Axis Africa Safaris! The itinerary covering Nairobi, Maasai Mara, Nakuru and Naivasha was perfectly planned and everything went smoothly. We saw the Big Five and even witnessed the incredible wildebeest river crossing. The entire experience exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended!

Private Safari with small kids
Our experience with Axis Safari was overall mixed, with some very positive aspects but also some important issues.
The biggest positive was undoubtedly our guide, John Mwangi. Our first interaction with the initial guide was unfortunately very poor, and after just a few minutes we asked Axis to change the guide. Axis accepted our request and arranged for John to take over, which we appreciated.
John was excellent throughout the safari. He was knowledgeable, professional and particularly good at finding special wildlife encounters and positioning the vehicle at the right moments. Thanks to him, we had some truly memorable experiences, including an incredible leopard sighting.
The PrideInn Mara was also a very pleasant part of the experience. The food was good, and the staff were friendly and attentive.
The main disappointment was the safari vehicle. From the beginning, we had specifically requested a vehicle with canvas-covered rear windows, as we were travelling privately with two young children. When John took over, his vehicle did not have canvas-covered windows. We therefore asked Axis to keep both requirements: a different guide and a vehicle with canvas.
Axis ultimately arranged for John to exchange vehicles with the initial guide, meaning we ended up using the initial guide’s vehicle — the same vehicle we had arrived in. We had only spent around five minutes in that vehicle initially, so we did not have the opportunity to properly assess its condition at that point. We chose to keep it because it was the only vehicle with canvas that Axis was able to make available to us.
Unfortunately, over the following minutes, we discovered several issues with the vehicle. Most importantly, the majority of the seat belts were not functioning properly, which we found unacceptable when travelling with young children. There were also other maintenance issues, including charging ports that did not work and windows and doors that were not functioning properly. In addition, the vehicle was not particularly comfortable, which was disappointing given that this was a private safari and we spent many hours in the vehicle each day.
To be fair, Axis was responsive to our requests and did make efforts to accommodate the change of guide and our requirement for a canvas-covered vehicle. However, we feel that the standard of the vehicle, both in terms of safety and comfort, was below what we expected from a private safari.
Overall, John was excellent and made a significant difference to our experience, and PrideInn Mara was also very good. Unfortunately, the initial guide experience and, in particular, the condition and comfort of the vehicle prevented us from giving Axis a fully positive review.

Perfectly arranged safari!
We had an amazing experience with Charles K from Axis! Everything was arranged from timely pick up from the hotel to drop off. Our drives in the park were wonderful, our driver was very experienced and honestly we have seen every animal I could have imagined and more! Our driver even made sure we got the best angles to take pictures of the animals
