Exellent 5 days Safari trip with gide Kikitu
The main reason why we chose Axis Africa Safaris was the possibility to pay for the trip on arrival without deposit. And we were very happy with our choise. Our Safari guide Kikitu is very positive and funny person. He gave us so much information about animals. During game drives he did everything that we would have the opportunity to see as much as possible animals in their natural habitat. He knew exactly where to go to see them and get the best views. He took care that we get the best of our trip. The accommodation was good, especially Mara Lenchada camp. We had unforgettable experience. Thanks to Axis Africa!
Also the people we joined Safari were great.

Great!!!
I am so glad that me and my husband choose Axis Africa Safaris. After a long search we decided to choose Axis and we never regret it. First of all we asked all of our questions with mail and Lennox from Axis always return those mails immediately with clear answers.
Our tour guide MARTIN, was one of the best!!! He was so dedicated, he was polite, clever, honest, decent man with a great sense of humor. He was always so understanding and helpful. With help of martin we saw nearly all animal kinds in Masai Mara. He was so hard working and has good relationships with the other drivers. Because of him our tour group has always the nices photo and experience. We also went Lake Nakura, Naivasha and Hells Gate with him and fall in love with those places. Our tour was budget but if u planning to go there or a private tour. Martin is the man :)
Also our luggage lost on the way. They helped us and when the luggae arrive they bring it to us as soon as possible.
Our 5 days budget tour was much more than we expected.

Good value for money with friendly service!
The driver was very friendly and spoke English perfectly. We stayed at a budget campsite (Lenchada camp) which was booked through Axis Safari and it was very clean and food was tasty. The package included 3 meals a day and accommodation and transportation. We chose to pay for the park entrance ourselves.
The driver knew perfectly how to navigate around the mara and we were following other cars so we got to see most of the big 5. Unfortunately, our driver chose to turn off the radio which connects us to the other cards in the afternoon so we missed to see Rhinos which other cars got to see. So make sure your driver doesn't turn off the radio. He showed us beautiful scenery and we got to see a very nice sunrise. Other than that, the trip was very interesting and pleasant and an experience of a lifetime.
Please make sure your driver doesn't crowd the animals. You will see many cards surrounding the animals and not giving them their space. I think a safari experience is very unique but we shouldn't abuse and make the animals uncomfortable by spending extra time watching them and following them than necessary.

Outstanding safari experience
We've had a great safari experience, everything was very well planned by the operator. The services provided were at good standards and was nothing to complain about.

Brilliant communication from the beginning and great value.
From the very beginning we had great communication from Lennox. He was about the only safari operator who gave us a straight price and not referring us to the website. We found most of the websites annoying in their pricing so it was good to bypass this.
There was a slight confusion on pick up time from the hotel but communication was good and then we were on the road.
Our guide Richard was great and extremely helpful. We were on the budget camping Safari and it was great value with food provided. My only criticism would be the need to buy water, on the day of the long safari, it would have been good to bring extra free water.
On the days of the Safaris Richard did his best and worked hard to show us all the animals and we managed to see them all apart from the elusive Rhino.
Finally, after drop off back in Nairobi, I realised I'd left a modem in the van and Richard and Lennox went above and beyond to return it to our hotel.
I would totally recommend Axis.

Big Five And Five Stars. The day I started my talks with Axis Safaris I knew this tour gonna be good
Lennox got everything sorted out for me and his promt mails got me informed of all the schedule and where I would be collected. I joined the Four Day Tour with five more and left for Masai Mara on time. The star of the tour was Mr.Evans our driver come guide who is funny enjoyable man with great knowledge of all animals.. plants..birds etc. I stayed at Lechanda Camp which was very clean and the tents comfortable. The meals were yummy. Next two day we saw almost all the animals, four of the big five and fifth I saw on the last day in Nakhuru. Lucky to see five lions feeding on a zebra and next day a solitary lion who ambushed a wilder beast. Last day I saw the georgeous White Rhino with her cub in Nakhuru and later in Lake Naivasha saw Hippo’s in close proximity. Evans thanks a lot for all the informations and patiently answering my doubts... cheers buddy. Special thanks to Lennox the provider. Will come back again Lennox and Evans.

Great experience!
We had a great experience, from sorting things out with Lennox - regarding costs, transportation, schedule, services included – to the actual tour. I joined the three-day safari, and everything was great: pick up and drop out on time, food, and the accommodation at Lechanda camp was really clean and comfortable. Our drive, Joshua, was really knowledgeable and patiently answered all of our questions. We managed to see the big five and much more in just one day! I totally recommend!

Amazing safari experience
The trip was exactly as described. The communication before the safari was quick and clear. The driver/guide - Kikitu - was just amazing, a lot of fun, very knowledgeable, and a skilled driver. He told us a lot of interesting stories about the animals, the Masai people, and Kenya.
Highly recommended!

As an Asian, This is such a truly lifetime experience.
I went to Kenya for a very first time with a friend from Thailand. Safari Contractor : Lennox , Driver : Issac
We took a full 6-day program from Maasai Mara, Naivasha, Nakuru along the way westward to Amboseli National Park. Our driver is a big guy Issac with huge heart, his sight of animal is somehow second to none. even we couldn't see any Leopard as an one missing Big 5 but we fortunately witnessed Lion family eating Zebra (with group of Zebra staring behind). This was beyond my expectation in a first safari trip of mine.
Being a sport photographer at home, I do enjoy spending time capture wildlife shots in these National Park. Chance of seeing zenith of Kilimanjaro in October is very little, only 5 mins of whole noon we can see it. Our driver was patient enough to stop and wait us taking thousand shots of birds, antelopes, big 4 (except Leopand) and landscape scene so far. Don't forget to get your gears well here in Kenyan Safari. You won't be regret to keep them being with you, especially a long telephoto lens with fast camera. Many shots you only have just one chance so don't miss it.
One of accommodation : Kimana campsite next to the Amboseli NP is what they should improve.
Rooms: pretty dilapidated. Cabins are worn down, mosquito nets that are ripped and don't fit, very poor electrical work, no hot water (if any water) in many tents. Toilets needed maintenance (flushes weren't really working). Shower have leaking water though bedroom.
The plus points are you can see the whole Kilimanjaro with naked eyes, and the offered not that bad food ,basic (if you are a flexible person with well-traveled)
Overall we were pretty satisfied and fulfilled, pretty recommend to those seeking a budget safari trip.
