Our safari tour met our high expectations
We have chosen the 5 day Masai Mara- Amboseli- lake Naivasha tour. So we saw a bit of everything. Our guide Kevin made everyhing easy and answered all questions about wildlife and Kenyan culture.
Also the pricing for a privat safari was very reasonable.
You wont regret booking with Axis Africa.
Asante.

Everything worked really well, we saw lions, rhinos and many other wild animals. The driver Kcalifa was also really funny and experienced driver. Five stars!

Aussies on Safari with Axis
My partner and I booked a 4 day, 3 night safari through Axis Safaris. Itinerary below:
Day 1: Nairobi > Maasai Mara & Afternoon Game Drive
On the first day, we met Khalifa (Tour Guide) in Nairobi CBD along with a few other tourists on our safari tour, we quickly hit the road and headed out to Maasai Mara at about 8:30am. The drive took about 6.5 Hours which included 2 stops . Upon arriving to the Maasai Mara, Khalifa dropped us all at our accommodation (We stayed at Lenchada Tourist Camp). We checked into our rooms and he let us know we had a few hours to kill before he took us on an Evening Game drive (Roughly 3 Hours). Back at camp by 6:45pm ready for dinner and bed.
Day 2: Full Day Game Drive
If you booked the basic Safari package, then Day 2 would be a full day game drive but my partner and I opted to do a Hot Air Balloon Safari early in the morning of Day 2 instead. I would definitely recommend the Hot Air Balloon Safari, just ask Axis and they can organise for you. After the Ballooning finished (Approx 10am) we intercepted the rest of our Safari Tour group to continue on with the full day game drive. Back to camp by 5pm for a short relax before dinner is served.
Day 3: Full Day Game Drive
My partner and I opted to stay for an extra night and do an additional full day game drive so as Khalifa and the rest of our group headed back to Nairobi, we got put in the safe hands of Charles K (Tour Guide). Charles took us out into the park for the full day and back to camp by 5pm.
Day 4: Maasai Mara > Nairobi
We left Lenchada Tourist Camp at 8:30am to head back to Nairobi. Arrived in Nairobi by roughly 3pm
Things to note:
- Khalifa and Charles K are both expert 4x4 drivers so they could get us anywhere in the park and know all the other tour guide drivers so they share intel on where the animals are. It was great having both of them as guides.
- Lenchada Tourist Camp is great, we had a tent with an ensuite, water was hot, food was great, staff were super helpful.
- As an additional extra, I would definitely recommend doing the Hot Air Balloon Safari. Very cool experience and you get a Champagne Breakfast out on the Savannah after which is so cool. Just ask Axis about it and they will organise everything for you!
- I would recommend doing 2 full days out on safari in the Maasai Mara, a fair few people only opt for the 1 full day out in the park but personally I reckon book the 3 Nights, 4 Days Safari will ensure you are satisfied with your wildlife sighting.

Amazing Adventure With Axis
My fiance and I did a 4 Day 3 Night Budget Group Sharing Safari in the Masai Mara with Axis.
Everything was seamless from the moment I sent my first enquiry. They were very quick to reply and happily answered all of my questions. I wanted to surprise my fiance with a hot air balloon safari on his birthday and the whole team was involved in making sure he didn't find out until the morning of (allowing me to pay for the balloon separately, rushing me out into a back room after a game drive whilst distracting my fiance so I could be briefed for the balloon ride without him finding out). Cannot thank them enough, he had the most memorable birthday ever.
We opted for the 4WD Safari Landcruiser and I would strongly recommend everybody else does the same, because the roads are very bumpy and muddy if there's been rain. We saw many 2WD cars and even the 4WD Safari vans get stuck.
We were picked up on time on the first day of the safari and taken to the Axis Offices in the CBD to meet our guide and group. For the first two days of the tour our guide was Khalifa- he kept us very entertained with jokes and stories and soon felt like family. His driving is to be commended because as I mentioned the roads were very rough and boggy and we saw countless other Landcruisers get stuck but his experience showed when he navigated the roads effortlessly and kept us out of trouble the entire time! He also worked extra hard to make sure we saw loads of amazing wildlife (which he was very knowledgeable about) including a Black Rhino!!
On our third and fourth day we had a new guide, as our original group was only staying two nights. We joined a new group with our new guide Charles K. Charles was very friendly and accommodating, we were lucky enough to see a leopard, multiple cheetah and over 20 lions due to his expert guidance! His driving also ensured we stayed out of trouble and didn't get stuck in any mud!
Our accommodation was at Lenchada Budget Camp which I cannot recommend highly enough. We were pleasantly surprised by the high standard of this camp considering it's a "budget camp". The tent was HUGE and spotlessly clean, the food delicious and plentiful, hot water always available and plenty of electricity in the mornings and evenings in the common area for charging devices. Special mention to their packed lunch which was extremely generous and tasty.
Overall I would highly recommend anybody considering going on safari in Masai Mara to book with Axis. Their prices are extremely competitive and they obviously know what they are doing. Cannot fault them!
Thank you so much team!

very experienced and well organized
Amazing experience! The agency staff was available anytime to clarify any doubt about the Safari tour before the booking and we had no surprises of any type. We are a couple and we choose the 5 days Safari (Masai Mara park, lake Nakuru, lake Naivasha, hell's gate). Jack, our guide, has taken care of any needs we had and most importantly he did everything he could to let us see all the big 5 (mission accomplished in 1 day and a half). He explained us many things and answered to all our questions, really an unmeasurable value added to the Safari! Accomodation was in line with expectations, but be prepared for very long bumpy roads!

GREAT!
All the people from the agency have been very nice since the very beginning of our booking process giving us useful details and tips.
During the 5-days safari between Masai Mara, lake nakuru and naivasha we've been always accompanied by our driver and guide Jack. He's been the best driver ever, taking care of all our necessities and making sure we got the best from our game drives. We had a lot of fun with him, he's the best!

100% worth to choose
I can truly recomend the Axix safari company , i choose them base on reviews and i made right choice. The tour guide JACK was amazing very helpful and kind. He put a lot of effort to show as much wild animals as possibile, from big five we haven’t seen only the rihno which is very dificult to spot since is only 100 of them in Masai Mara . I Choose 3days safari in Masai Mara but 5 days safari option would be much more better , if i would now before how good tour guide i have and how amazing people i have meet i would definitelly choose 5 days :)
Best trip in our life, thanks Axis and geeman
Hi there! We have been in many countries like Sri Lanka, Philippines, Middle East and European countries, but this is African trip organised by Axis Africa is our favourite now. It’s wonderful experience and our dream is came true in Kenya. We had a beautiful 5 day road trip and saw a lot of animals, location including boat safari and walking safari, and our driver and tour guide Geeman was super comfortable, respectful and friendly. We so happy and game drive was lucky — a lot of elephants, giraffes, lions, zebras and other animals from big five.
We bought individual tour from Nairobi, it was very nice accommodation near Amboseli and Navashi was fascinating. People in hotels helped us to make our vacation more better. Every breakfast, lunch and dinner was very tasty and delicious and now we with my wife very like African cuisine. Thank you Gerald, geeman, you are the best driver!
