5 -day trekking: an unforgettable experience with an incredible team!
5/5

The organization of this trek was made in 2 days following a last -minute reservation. The downside in this journey was the rather indifferent welcome of our guide Daniel at the hotel, of a great lack of communication, especially at the beginning. We followed him without saying anything: waiting for an hour in a Matatu, Waiting for almost 2 hours in a restaurant in Nanyuki. We were told that there were things to buy for the trek. We didn't know what was really going on. All of a sudden, we end up with lots of people and a lot of stock in the Matatu. Several stops on the way. I was afraid of coming from darkness. It was only made to the Gates of Mount Kenya that one could finally speak with Daniel. I told him at that time my wish he is talking to us and explains things. The presentation of the team was done and the pressure began to decrease.
To our surprise, we were welcomed and treated like king: small checkered napes, coffee, tea or hot chocolate with small cookies. Daniel brings me to show me the location of the brand new. The surprise is that there was no sleeping bag. He said he had asked us the question at the office and we replied that we had them what was completely false. But he did everything to get us, for an additional blow of $ 10.00 /day supposedly that it was not included, which was also false. When we had wifi, it was clearly written.

The rest of the team was extraordinary! Patrick was an extraordinary and so kind cook. Our meals were so good! Our Anthony carrier is a person posed, respectful and available, capable of answering our questions. It could easily go to the guide stadium. Our carriers: Douglas, Chris and John we do a whole job and we are grateful! Thanks guys !
Thank you Daniel for having the ability to organize this adventure and for guided us with Anthony on the trails of Mont Kenya.

The Safari Tour was really amazing, we saw a lot of wild animals and we visited Masai Tribe.
5/5

We had an amazing Masai Mara Safari game drive with Axis Africa; everything was professionally organised, and everything went as planned. Mr. Lennox, thank you.
The drivers (Julius and Gerard) who serve as guides were professional and took care of us in every area of the tour; they are also very accommodating and friendly. The camp Mara Chui is also excellent; the staff are amazing, polite, and respectful.

The experience of a lifetime
5/5

We decided to book the tour with Axis Safari because from the beginning the communication had been excellent. All questions were answered almost immediately both through email and whatsapp. On the first day of the Tour we met our guide Francis and the rest of the group. I cannot recommend Francis enough!! His experience and knowledge of the animals and land are unmatched. Again communication was excellent as he would give as an overview of the day and answer any additional questions. Thanks to Francis we got to see the big 5 up close and many more animals. He gave us enough time to take pictures and enjoy the animals presence up close. He was also accommodating of our wishes to stop and spend more time to see our favourites. The accommodations were great too. We stayed at Lenchada Camp for 2 nights and one night in Nakuro. Both were excellent and the food was very yummy. The vegetarian options were great. I also appreciated Francis recommendations and insights as well as flexibility. We had originally booked a 4 day Masai Mara tour but on his recommendation changed to 4 day Masai Mara and Nakuro tour and we are so happy we did! Nakuro is definitely worth the visit and we got to see Rhinos up close. Overall we felt in the best of hands during the whole durarion of the trip and had the the best time!

Good experience
4/5

We went on a 3 day 2 night Safari to Masai Mara.

Our driver Solomon was a very capable driver who was prompt, kept us on schedule and maneuvered to get us close to see all of the animals. We saw the big 5 thanks to his skills. We got stuck in the mud and through hard work he was able to get us out.

The reason we give 4 stars is because we felt we were not provide much information about Masai Mara (historical and present day) neither the towns we drove through. We saw animals but didn't feel like we learned much. Also, we informed Axis that we had two big suitcases as we were concerned if they would fit in the Jeep. They indicated that they should fit in the Jeep. When we arrived they informed us that the suitcases couldn't fit. We had to scramble to repack our things into our hand luggage in the tiny room in their office and then leave our big suitcases there.

Lastly I recommend providing a tip sheet so persons are better prepared. For example masks for the dust, motion sickness needs for the very bumpy roads etc.

We stayed at Enkorok camp which we review separately from Axis which we found to have exceptional service.

Fantastic safari experience. Would recommend!
5/5

We had originally booked our safari pre Covid and had to postpone for 3.5 years, but we finally made it in September 2023.

Lennox was fantastic with rearranging the trip for us with such care; really great communication and super easy to work with!

The Safari itself was unbelievable. We had Jack as a driver who took amazing care of us throughout the 3 days. He had such knowledge and was so attentive to everyone’s needs! If you’re looking for a trusted partner to take you on safari I would 100% recommend Axis!

He is a very funny and caring person with great energy
5/5

It was a very life changing experience, being able to experience other peoples cultures and learning new things every day. I really liked how the drivers (Kevin, Johny and joho) knew exactly what to do and it showed that they had been doing this for a long time because of how good they were. I enjoyed the fact that they stopped every time there was something interesting and gave is some time to take pictures. Overall 10/10 experience!
