Johnny Jackson our tour operator went above and beyond to see lion cubs and the illusion black rhino
Communications with the the tour was easy fast and reliable. All questions were clearly answered. The service was superb, from on time pickup at a hard to find Airbnb, immediate connection to the the tour guide Johnny, endless through knowledge about flora, birds, fun facts and of course all the amazing animals. Our food was very traditional throughout and always ready upon arrival with pleasant friendly servers in clean comfortable settings. The tour included all are meals and all the water we could drink. I feel it was an extremely good value for our money. As far as reliability it was more than I could have hoped for. Johnny was always on time, truck clean, pleasant, eager to accommodate all our wishes. Also important to me I felt he looked out for us and made me feel safe and taken care. Overall the tour was more than I could have asked for. Johnny loves the animals as much as I did and enjoyed helping us fine the most unique views and experiences as possible. We saw the elusive black rhino and 2 female lioness after a wildebeest kill feeding their 3 cubs in the catch. We were safe but so close. We even witnessed one of the cubs taking the tail and running playing and being chased by the others. So fun!! I would highly recommend this company and tour guide!!

Johnny was incredibly knowledgeable with a great sense of humor
Incredibly prompt, we saw more than I could imagine. We all felt safe and cared for. Johnny was adept at getting us so close to the animals that we rarely needed a professional camera. The photo opps were incredible. Johnny was always in good humor. I will definitely recomend this tour to others.
Amazing and very helpful
Where do i even begin from??!! The adventure through the national reserves and meeting the local maasai tribe was one to want to relive. my team and I, with the help of our guide Johnny, we’re able to see the big 5 except the rare leopard. We learnt so many fun facts and the guide had trivia questions to make it even more fun. On our day 2 of the safari, we visited the maasai tribe. the chiefs son took us through the community’s customs and lifestyle! they had us participate in the dance. we then headed to lake nakuru to see the famous flamingoes, i would definitely recommend the axis safari to anyone looking for a fun or intimate package with family and friends. i have so many pictures to share omg

Knowledgeable, personable, persistent and fun!
Great value for the money. Animal sightings were beyond my expectations. Pre safari communication was great. Went the extra mile to get my wife's phone that was left with an Uber. Lodge accomodations were good for Kenya but overall 3.5 stars. Upgrade whenever you can. The Toyota Land Cruiser we had was fantastic. Johnny the tour guide was stupendous!

Energetic, intelligent, entertaining and determined to give us THE BEST safari, Johny is 10 stars!!
Our tour of Maasia Mara and Nukuru exceeded our expectations. It started with Johny being on time (big deal in Kenya!). He went out of his way to help get my phone returned to me as I had left it in our taxi the night before.
The vehicles were comfortable and allowed us all to get fantastic views wherever we went.
Johny has been doing this for 13 years and knew exactly where to take us. He also was very intentional about positioning the vehicle for THE BEST pictures and views.
He answered SO many questions and told great stories. We truly could not have asked for more.
We have a travel agency and Johny will be our go to guide to recommend.
Customer centric
We booked our 3 day 2 nights safari with Axis for end of July. Having had no experience and recommendations it was hard to pick the right agency to work with, so I relied heavily on the reviews of other travelers.
We were not disappointed. Right from the beginning Lennox was highly communicative and extremely helpful in helping pick the right package for our group of 5. Till the morning of our departure for the safari he was able to accommodate a hotel pick up change and ensured everyone was well taken care of.
We had picked the Jambo Mara Lodge as our accommodation option and it was stunning. The rooms are spacious and well equipped and waking up to an Unobstructed view of Masai Mara was precious. As a special treat on the day of our check out .. a family of Giraffes came close to our room to wish us Adieu.. it is hard to explain that experience. The staff at the lodge was so helpful and kind and the food delicious for every meal.
But the biggest shout out goes to Ronnie our guide through the entire journey and Safari. Always smiling and willing to go the extra mile, Ronnie ensured our Safari experience was epic. He had a keen eye and ear on the ongoings at the park and we were able to see all the big hits .. including a rare sighting of a Leopard.. all the big cats .. cheetah and lions .. and most importantly drove out Of the way to allow us to experience the Great Migration in its full glory. He was able to fulfill all our wishes and he truly tried to get us to see the Rhino ( only animal we missed). He knew the park in and out and we got to comfortably enjoy the glory of Masai Mara.
The last day we got to see a Masai Village.. this one was a decent experience and only feedback would be to let the guests know about the entry fees in advance. Not a big deal, but good to be able to plan for. At the village be prepared to be accosted for multiple purchases.. but it’s going straight to the tribe which seems worth it.
Overall .. if you are headed to Masai Mara .. highly recommend partnering with Axis Safari for your adventures

True meaning of Safari
As Safari means to travel, so Julius and Khalifa showed us how it’s done in Kenya. Like travelling with a very good friend we spent 5 days with animal spotting, language lessons, learning Kenyan culture and much more. It was truly a journey into not only the Kenyan wildlife but into Kenya and it’s people.

Exceeded all our expectations
We were ten people from 15 to 74 years of age and we all had a FANTASTIC trip. Everything exceeded our expectations. Julius and Khalifa were absolutely fantastic at finding the animals, and we saw all animals more or less just next to us. They both know everything about the animals and the nature. We stayed in luxury lodges and luxury tented camps, and we only wished that we have had more days to enjoy the accommodation.
