Dream
It was a dream trip with our guide John Mwangi that he did everything possible so that we could see all the animals with the best views! I definetly recommend it a lot!

Excellent experience
It was a very well-organised tour, and everything was taken care of very well. Rogers, our tour guide, was always punctual, looked after us throughout the trip, and had excellent knowledge of all the parks and animals. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and thoroughly enjoyed the tour. We would definitely recommend it!

Absolutely fantastic - everything was handled very well. Great experience
Everything was run very well and smoothly. It was a very professional experience. The accommodations were excellent, especially the Sopa lodges. Felt very reliable and safe, everything was on time and efficient. Our guide Rogers was simply fantastic - he made sure we didnt leave the safari before seeing all the big 5. His knowledge of the parks and animals was fantastic and he created a great experience for us. He was very friendly and a great guide during the whole trip. I would highly recommend Axis to any first time visitors to Kenya.

Well organised
Axis is very reliable and well organised tour operator, their choice of resorts is very good, more importantly the tour guide / driver of Land Cruiser (Roger) is excellent. Roger is very good and has a very good understanding of the entire safari park (s) and he is so good in spotting big 5 animals and reach there so quickly to get a glimpse of the animal. Roger is an excellent tour guide and made our safari experience memorable.

Roger was a great guide, fast, resourceful, and educational.
Roger was a great operator to have for the safari! He was always willing to give us all the time we needed for pictures and enjoyment, and more importantly would go the extra mile to ensure we had a good experience. His fast, quick response time, and resourcefulness made sure we were close to the action at all times wherever it was. 10/10 would recommend Axis and Roger for your safari!

Magic
It was an amazing Safari, we saw absolutely everything and it was simply magic…!!!
Ben took care of us and gave us the best views for taking the best pictures and enjoying memorable moments! I would completely repeat this beautiful experience!
The picnic could be a bit better and I would’ve appreciate more communication the first days, besides the last days completely changed and I really appreciate all the explanations about the animals.
The staff at the office was the best, I don’t know how many times I asked them questions and they were simply always there solving any doubts.
Thank you for giving us the best time in Kenya, I’m never gonna forget this beautiful days…! My soul is full..! Thank you Axis! ❤️

Really lovely!
Our family of three thoroughly enjoyed our safari experience with Axis Africa. I contacted several companies, and Axis Africa stood out as the most professional and responsive. Communication with the office staff was always clear and well written, even though I asked them about a hundred different options!
Our driver, Ben, was excellent: highly experienced, responsible and reliable. I have to admit that a little more narration, like you might normally expect from a tour guide, would have made the experience absolutely perfect 😉 However, Ben was extremely focused on finding the animals and communicating with the rangers to get us to the best sightings. Which, to me, was the most important thing and that brought us so many WOW moments that we all felt so lucky for. He was also brilliant at anticipating where the animals would go next.
One particularly memorable moment was seeing a cheetah, which can be very difficult to spot. It walked away from all the jeeps, but instead of simply following it, Ben anticipated which direction it would take and drove us ahead to wait. About ten minutes later, the cheetah appeared, walked straight towards our jeep and then circled around it. It was a breathtaking experience!
We also saw all of the Big Five in the Maasai Mara, and at Lake Nakuru, the animals, even the elusive leopard, treated us to some wonderfully long sightings.
This was our first safari, and I am so glad we chose Axis Africa. Highly recommended!

Great
This was a great safari tour, excellent value, Walter our driver and guide was responsible and knowledgeable on the safari and we saw some amazing animals. I stayed at flair camp which was I was happy with. Masai village (separate from this tour) was an interesting and definitely worthwhile optional add on but just be mindful once there the villagers will try to get you to buy things beyond the entrance fee (I felt put on the spot) but I still think it’s worth the experience.

Very good safari experience overall
We had a very good safari experience overall, and we would especially like to highlight our driver, Ben. He was extremely professional, punctual and clearly very experienced. It was also clear that he genuinely enjoys his job and takes pride in what he does.
In just two days of safari, we were incredibly lucky to see the Big Five, which was one of the highlights of our trip. Ben is also a very good photographer and kindly shared the photos he took with us at the end of the safari. This was a lovely extra and something we really appreciated.
Ben was consistently punctual and always respected the schedules and timings that had been communicated to us, which made the whole experience very smooth and well organised. His driving skills were also excellent, and we always felt safe and comfortable during the game drives.
There are, however, a couple of areas that we think could be improved. The main one is the guiding and communication. The driver-guide was not particularly communicative and did not spontaneously provide much information about the animals, their behaviour or the ecosystem. When we asked questions, he was happy to answer and provided useful information, but the experience was more that of having an experienced driver who knows the park very well than having a traditional safari guide who actively explains what you are seeing throughout the game drive. For us, this was the main difference.
We would also like to mention the pressure placed on drivers regarding reviews. We had the impression that drivers are under quite a lot of pressure to obtain positive reviews from clients, and this made us feel somewhat uncomfortable. We completely understand that reviews are important to a company, but we believe this could be handled more carefully by the management of Axis Africa Safari. Drivers should not feel that they have to put pressure on clients to leave a review, particularly a positive one. We believe that allowing reviews to happen naturally would make the experience more relaxed and enjoyable for both clients and drivers.
Overall, we had a positive experience and are especially grateful to Ben for his professionalism, excellent driving skills, punctuality and for helping us have such a successful safari. Seeing the Big Five in just two days was an unforgettable experience, and Ben played an important role in making it possible.

Excellent experience with great professionalism and value for money!
Let us start by praising Peter for excellent communication & professionalism from the very beginning!
Secondly, we are really grateful to be acommodated to full extent after our unplanned flight change took place, where agency really covered us well.
Our tour guide was Richard, and we enjoyed experience so much that we forgot we skipped one full day. He is, in particular, very knowledgable about Masai Mara where we saw ALL of big five. What we particularly appreciated is him being so skilled and putting an effort to find animals, with highlight of seeing black rhino, great communication, keeping us safe, and being punctual! He is great driver, positions vehicle so well and seems respected among other guides and rangers.
We also visited Amboseli with him, after lake Naivasha and crossing Nairobi.
We felt respected, heard and we carry wonderful memories.
What we would particularly like to highlight is choice of places to stay, they were clean, in great location, with good food, warm water, charging stations and kind staff.
After five days, we can only thank Axis Africa Safaris for making this experience memorable and unique! 😊
