Skilled driver and wonderful safari

My family and I were five people who were picked up in a big Land Cruiser at our accommodations and drove us to the Mara Fig Tree Camp in the early afternoon. During our stay here, our driver Peter Ngigi took us on an evening and full day Animal drive across the Masai Mara. He endusured we had wonderful trips both times. Well organised with timing, car and refreshments, but most importantly by being exceptionately friendly and likeable, while also being a fountain of information on the many many animals we saw and answering all our questions. I praise his work highly.

Great tour leader
We were going on a three day safari from Fig Tree lodge with Peter Ngigi as driver and tourleader. Peter drove the big Landcruiset with excellent skills and managed to give us fantastic experiences and the possibility of taking really great pictures. Peter is a really nice guy and his knowledge of Masai Mara and the animal life there lifted the safari to a High and satisfying level. I can only give Peter my absolute best recommandations.

In January 2026, we went on a safari tour with Axis Africa Safaris. We spent a lot of time choosing the tour based on the price/quality ratio. We didn't regret our choice. Amazing experience
Our safari with Axis Safari was an excellent experience overall, made truly memorable by the people and the camp atmosphere. Khalifah, our safari driver, was professional, knowledgeable, and made every game drive smooth and enjoyable. His experience and calm approach really enhanced the safari.
We stayed at Flair Camp, which is perfect if you’re looking for an authentic local safari experience rather than something overly commercial. The camp felt genuine, comfortable, and well run.
A special mention to Derek and Moses, who provided outstanding hospitality at the camp. They were warm, attentive, and always made sure we were well taken care of. The food at the tents was surprisingly good — freshly prepared, tasty, and very satisfying after long days of game drives.
Overall, Axis Safari delivered not just great wildlife experiences, but also excellent food, warm hospitality, and an authentic camp stay. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a real safari experience with great people.
