Exceptional trip through the southern and western parks of Tanzania
We had the pleasure to travel in Tanzania from East (Dar Es Salaam) to West (Kigoma / Tanganyika-Lake) with Richard who was our driver, guide and organizer. We visited Nyerere, Mikumi, Ruaha, Katavi and Gombe (with the chimpanzee). Richard was just excellent! He perfectly organized the whole trip including transfer, hotels and flights to Zanzibar. His broad experience of driving allowed us to cross some challenging places on muddy roads, we always felt safe with him. His extensive knowledge of the wildlife made our game drives particularly interesting. Richard is a very nice person, always available, able to anticipate our needs and very reliable. We spend 3 ½ unforgettable weeks in Tanzania under his guidance! We highly recommend him for your next trip in this part of the world.

Amazing safari - just perfect
After some online research we found Mali Kale Africa Safari's as a tour operator for our 7 day Tanzania-Northern-Circuit-Safari. We got in contact with Richard (the owner of the tour company). He replied very fast to our first email and answered all our questions... and we had a lot of questions in the upcoming months. He always gave us a very good feeling and we had confidence in him very fast. So we decided to book our tour with Mali Kale Africa Safari's.
I was the best decision we made. The safari (Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Eyasi) and the cultural tourism (visit of maasai, hadzabe and datoga) resulted to be perfectly organized by Richard. He was always prepared (permits, lodges, etc.), so we did not loose time to wait for permits at the entrance gates of the national parks.
During our game drives Richard always did his very best to get the most amazing animal encounters for us. It was not just good or very good, it was even better, because Richard is a person who goes always an extra mile for you. Therefore we had so many special moments and we had a time which was even better than we hoped or expected before.
What we can also mention: Every morning when we entered the jeep it was cleaned from inside and outside. When Richard dropped us around 6/6.30pm at our lodge he managed to clean the car and the windows and to refill the fridge with bottled water. So everything was always clean and ready to go in the morning.
Resumee: We can highly recommend Richard as a tour guide. He has the experience of more than 20 years as a guide. So he has a large knowledge about the animals and the sites (where to find them) and knows so many people around in the biz. If you want to have a very good organized safari, then go with Richard/Mali Kale Africa Safari's. It's such an amazing experience. Even after being back at home we are still flashed about our Tanzania holidays.

Great experience, excellent guide, perfect service !!!
We took a trip to Kilimanjaro, and then few days safari. It was already our second time being in Tanzania with Richard, and it was unforgettable experience. He is a perfect guide with great knowledge about Africa and its nature. Everything was well organized, with comfortable accomodation, and perfect services. The whole trip was great, and we will sure come back again. Thanks to Richard we fell in love with Africa...

If you really want to see some animals - just choose Mali Kale Safari!
I'd like to start with the statement that Richard's knowledge was mind-blowing. I don't know if I can that freely drive and know every corner of my home city, like he knew every corner of each park. Of course this resulted in seeing many awesome animals, as Richard knew exactly where to find them. Moreover, he is very observant. The most incredible was fact that he could spot a leopard on a tree from ~2 km distance (we could hardly see it through binoculars).
Richard was very professional and responsible, he took care of everything from the moment when we started our safari in Nairobi to the very end when the driver left us on a last day in Nairobi. He cared so we are everywhere on time, he was very dedicated to work. Richard also has huge knowledge about animals, he could say many interesting things about every animal we've found (or rather he's found ;)). As a Pole I can't also not add that he learnt some Polish, so he was able to tell us names of different animals in our language which I appreciated a lot :)
To sum up, I can recommend Richard as a great safari guide. When going with him you won't be disappointed.

Just perfect
I booked 10 days safari for me and my friends. The whole trip was above my expectations. I really enjoyed everything. Richard was really dedicated and we not only saw a lot of animals but also he told us a lot about them and their behaviour. He has big knowledge about them and it was one of the reason that he found for us perfect spot for observation the great migration. Richard had also really good eye, for instance, once he saw leopard which was really far away and it was difficult to spot him even that Richard told us where he was. The worst part of this trip was that it ended, I could stay forever ;)

Caring
Out tour guide was very helpful and kind. He provided us with a lot of information about animals and areas. He tried his best to show us all the animals in the best possible ways and positions.
While leaving Tanzania we had a problem with flights and we had to stay few more days in Africa. We were very stressed but our guid and company’s chef help us a lot while dealing with the problem. I’d recommend Mali Kale Africa Safaris to everyone! I can’t imagine better visit

Very expensive for nothing in the plate for lunch and 1 hour less on the planned program!
It’s could be arrive, but when we went to take lunch at the buffet, there was no more meat, almost no more drinks. Maybe the other participants were served too much before, but that's not my problem, I paid the same as the other… I remember that I only ate rice and few vegetables. The plane took off more than 30 minutes late and we left 30 minutes earlier than planned! result, 1 hour less safari. Bad experience

Outstanding Safari from beginning to end!
Jambo! I highly recommend Mali Kale Safaris owned/operated by Richard Boniventure! Richard was a top notch guide & driver. His communication pre-trip was speedy and he was flexible with change requests. He often sent photos of his current safaris prior to our reservation which got our family very excited. Richard is a very kind, generous and easy going man. He gave our entire family Christmas gifts during our recent safari over the holidays. His driving skills were impeccable and he was very patient during game drives. My family (mom/dad, kids 21,19,16) loved his clean and well equipped safari truck (cooler of drinks, outlets & USB ports). He was very knowledgeable about all animal and bird species. His eyes are incredible - he would often stop, scan the area and point out loads of animals we hadn't seen. I cannot rave about him enough!
As for the safari route, we LOVED nights 1&2 at Maramboi Lodge. Lovely accommodations, food buffets, staff and having animals walk right next to the pool was amazing. Excellent happy hour/snacks. Do stay here! Tarangire Nat'l Park was a highlight and we saw loads of animals right off the bat. Manyara Nat'l Park was interesting with different topography. We thought 1 day in each park was sufficient. The Lake Eyasi portion was a bit out of the way although the tent lodge (Kisima Ngeda) was unique being lakeside. Visiting the Masai tribe was fascinating and worth the stop. We really enjoyed hiking to the Hadzabe tribe and witnessing their lifestyle. Ngorongoro Crater was another highlight with a stay at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. These accommodations were superb. Every room has a view of the crater as the rock style, old timey lodge sits on the rim of the crater. I would have preferred 2 nights here. We were able to traverse the entire crater thoroughly in 1 full day. Last park was the Serengeti in which we had 2 full days. Again, this was plenty for my family as they were long 8-9 hour game drives. Our tent lodge was lovely (Mbuzi Mawe) although quite out of the way. My recommendation is to stay closer to the visitor center if possible.
The most memorable moment of the trip for everyone was the sunrise hot air balloon ride. Yes, it's insanely expensive but worth every penny. Richard booked the flight for us with Serengeti Balloon Safaris. Request Abeid as your captain. He was so skilled, personable, knowledgable and funny. The ride was surreal flying over the savannah at sunrise. Abeid often had us close to the ground gliding safely over animals. His landing was perfect too. Post-flight, you are whisked away to a delicious, fancy champagne brunch set up in the bush. Don't skip this excursion. It's a once in a lifetime experience.
We said good-bye to Richard at the Serengeti airport. He arranged our flights to Zanzibar for our next adventure. Our 7 day/6 night safari with Richard will never be forgotten. Do book with him. You won't be disappointed. There's no need to book a pricy tour operator. All the safari trucks are identical. They all drive on the same roads. Everyone sees the same animals. The only difference is lodge accommodations. We stayed in similar lodges as those on Tauck Tours. Richard is able to book any accommodation you like. His tour package was very reasonable for our family of five. Asanté Sana Richard.

A really convenient, engaged and passionate operator being supportive and friendly from day 1.
It was the second time that we did a Safari in Tansania with Mali Kale. Both safaris were taking 4 days in total including different programs and national parks. The service was twice really nice and you felt safe from the first moment. The drivers were really passionate about the job they are doing and were always able to show and explain a lot of things to us. Accomodations were chosen in a very fair and fitting way to our needs so the value for the paid money was absolutely fair. I will go again on a Safari with Mali Kale and I can recommend it heavily to everyone else.
Many greetings, Sebastian
