An experience like no other
I visited Tanzania with my partner and had a beautiful holiday together with the Footslopes & Tours team. They were very attentive people and provided excellent service during the safaris, both food, lodging and guide. Our guide was Becca, who gave us all the information we needed regarding animals and their customs and others. We visited Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara..and we saw the big five !!! Among other species such as zebras, giraffes, impalas, etc.
I recommend this tour company a 100%. It was the best vacation of our lives !!

Excellent safari
Camped for 4 nights through the northern parks.
Amazing safari with amazing food (an excellent bonus), fresh soup every night.
Couldn't recommend it enough!
Had a great time seeing the Serengeti
Overall we had a really enjoyable experience on our safari. Camping in the Serengeti was a truly unique experience. The tour operators themselves were extremely warm and welcoming and really went out of their way to help us with our onward plans. Unfortunately we think our experience of the safari itself was hampered somewhat by the fact we were only two people, so footslopes aggregated us into a larger group with other tour operators in order to make it cost effective for them. For this reason I think we ended up with a guide who is not usually employed by footslopes, and we had some issues there regarding the quality of our tour and its organisation/timeliness. But overall we were satisfied and the footslopes guys were so accommodating and helpful when we returned back to Arusha after our tour. We think going forward they should focus on ensuring they have adequate group sizes for each planned tour so they don't have to put their guests in the hands of other tour operators, thus losing control of the quality of the service and risk unnecessary reputational damage.

Hakuna Matata
My wife & I just want to confirm the previous reviews and remind you that you enter African wilderness.
But then there is the Foot-Slopes-Tours team, a group of kind & caring young Tanzanians who work extremely hard to make these budget safaris a once-in-a-lifetime experience for YOU.
Specially when your guides handle the unexpected stress situations with such calm & assertiveness, you know you are in good hands. - Asante sana!

4-day safari was wonderful, 6-day safari not so much
Foot Slopes was wonderful about communication right from when I first submitted a request for a quote. They were very responsive and answered all of my questions fully. The first four days of the tour were wonderful--I was with a great group of people, and our guide Freddy was amazing and passionate about showing us Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorogoro Crater, and all the places in between. He was personable, knowledgeable, and seemed to really enjoy what he was doing. After the fourth day, the group I had been with finished their safari and I continued on for two more days to Lake Manyara and to hike in Kilimanjaro National Park. I was matched up with two different groups and communication between the tour guides and Foot Slopes seemed to be lacking. On the fifth day, we waited for the guide to arrive for many hours, and when we finally got started, the car broke down, the guide reeked of alcohol, and it took over an hour to fix the situation. The new guide was not friendly, barely commented on the animals and natural scenery, and rushed us through the park. On the final day of the tour, I was matched up with another group and we hiked in Kilimanjaro National Park. The hike was beautiful, but a lot more difficult than it had been marketed. I hadn't realized that I'd need hiking apparel and wasn't prepared for the terrain, so the hike wasn't as enjoyable as it could have been. If you're thinking about taking Foot Slopes four-day safari, you'll probably have a great experience as it seems like this is what the majority of travelers choose. However, if you're taking a longer safari, the experience might be more hit or miss.

An extraordinary wildlife experience
What an extraordinary experience. My friend and I joined a 5-day safari visiting Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara and Tarangire national park. The communication beforehand was timely and adequate. The trip was well organized and thus transpired smoothly. Our Safari experience was especially succesful due to the amazing guiding and driving by Mr. David, and the delicious cooking by Mr. Philip. David is an experienced safari guide and can thus provide ample information and interesting stories of previous safaris. Philip made sure we always had tasty, wholesome food which was a true blessing after a long day of game drives. The flora and fauna of the parks was astonishingly beautiful, yet the safari would not have been the same without David and Philip. Asante sana kaka!!

Very nice safari, good price
My girlfriend and I went on a 4 day safari, visiting 3 parks: Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater. Trip was well organized and included overnight in the hotel before and after safari. During safari we slept in tents, which were complete. The guide was very good and friendly, drove very well, showed and told us a lot. The cook made us a nice meal three times a day.
In short, very cool trip, complete, well organized and for a good price.

Incredible 5 day trip with Foot Slopes!
Myself and coworkers went on this trip ahead of a business trip elsewhere in East Africa, and we're all SO happy we did! It was right within our price range and gave us the level of support we needed. David was our driver and he was so wonderful - he was accommodating and very fun throughout the trip, he even spotted a rhino in ngorogoro crater before any other guide that day!! That was the last of the big 5 we needed to see and he was amazing in finding the rhino and then helping us and other groups spot it in the distance. We saw every animal you would want to see multiple times and up very close. Way better than I expected!
The only critique I have is that it would be nice to have a little more information ahead of time on what we're doing, how much to pack, what we should bring along. Sometimes their communication wasn't the best, but overall it was a once in a lifetime trip that didn't break the bank!
