4-day safari was wonderful, 6-day safari not so much
Foot Slopes was wonderful about communication right from when I first submitted a request for a quote. They were very responsive and answered all of my questions fully. The first four days of the tour were wonderful--I was with a great group of people, and our guide Freddy was amazing and passionate about showing us Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorogoro Crater, and all the places in between. He was personable, knowledgeable, and seemed to really enjoy what he was doing. After the fourth day, the group I had been with finished their safari and I continued on for two more days to Lake Manyara and to hike in Kilimanjaro National Park. I was matched up with two different groups and communication between the tour guides and Foot Slopes seemed to be lacking. On the fifth day, we waited for the guide to arrive for many hours, and when we finally got started, the car broke down, the guide reeked of alcohol, and it took over an hour to fix the situation. The new guide was not friendly, barely commented on the animals and natural scenery, and rushed us through the park. On the final day of the tour, I was matched up with another group and we hiked in Kilimanjaro National Park. The hike was beautiful, but a lot more difficult than it had been marketed. I hadn't realized that I'd need hiking apparel and wasn't prepared for the terrain, so the hike wasn't as enjoyable as it could have been. If you're thinking about taking Foot Slopes four-day safari, you'll probably have a great experience as it seems like this is what the majority of travelers choose. However, if you're taking a longer safari, the experience might be more hit or miss.

Great value for money
Communications were great with foot slopes. We got picked up and dropped off at the airport and they provided us with 2 extra nights at the hotel free of charge. The hotel in Arusha (Venice Hotel) was clean, had AC and even hot showers. The food was average but this was to be expected. The safari itself was excellent. Be prepared to spend a lot of time in the jeep getting to and between different parks. Having said that our driver had 15 years of experience which meant that we saw all the animals (including the big 5) we wanted to and had a fantastic time.

Very responsive agency and flexible on dates
Footslopes have been very responsive in emails and whatsapp. They are an agency that puts groups together and that has been a great experience because we met lovely people and the timing works for the 3 separate groups that we had. (5 of us) The arrangements included airport transfers, accommodation for the night before and the last night which we found to be very helpful in terms of having it all being taken care of. We opted for a budget package and were put up at Venice Hotel, clean, close to market and friendly staff.
Eric from footslopes was very friendly at the pickup and also was accommodating on the questions we had around the safari. He was also easily contactable via whatsapp/email and responded very quickly. The guide and cook were very good and we started our days on time and very early to make most of each day. Thomas, our guide, was also a very careful driver and very aware of park rules. He is also amazing at spotting animals from afar, almost like having bionic eyes!
As we were on our honeymoon, we were pleasantly surprised by being put up at a lodge at the end of our trip. A very kind and generous arrangement by Eric. It was a much welcomed gesture after a few days of camping. (Also first time camping since high school!)
One thing to be aware of is the payment arrangements culture where it is all settled upfront. (For Park fee payments, supplies, etc). Coming from an environment where payment is made in stages or when services have been received, it was something to get used to. Eric did a good job reassuring us and it was all hakuna matata after all.

4-Day-Safari
+ Tangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti Park: all worth seeing!!!
+ good accomodation
+ on time (which is not status quo) in Tanzania
+ Guide did a good job (Big 5, ...)
+ Cook did a good job: partly african food, partly european (e.g. spagetti) with an african touch
- mattress and sleeping bags were VERY used and partly disgusting !!!
Advice customers: You'll need more than an inlay sleeping bag for ngorongoro Crater (over 2000m above sea level on the rim, where you will spend the night)
Adive for Foot Slope: a camping mat is cheap and definitely more hygienic since you can wipe it quickly with something to clean it.
I would book Foot Slopes again and I will recommend it! BUT with an own sleeping bag :)

VEry good staff
I spent three days in Tanzania, having spent a day on a safari, a day in a Masai village and a day on kilimanjaro, and everything went very well.
The pic-nic was good and with enough food, worth having been the exact same "menu" in the three days.
The person in charge of the company received us on the day of arrival and at the end of each day of activities.
In terms of follow-up during activities, we can say that they have sinned but by excess, since we were only a couple and we had three guides.
I advise choosing this company for a few days in Tanzania.
From Portugal.

Excellent!
Very well organized and orchestrated. Our guide, Nixon, was prompt and knowledgable. Experienced no rain despite it being rainy season.

Amazing experience! Safe and fun!
It was fantastic we were picked up at the airport, all accommodations taken care of, and brought back to the airport. All questions were answered quickly and I even forgot my IPod in the Safari vehicle and they mailed it back to me.

Flexible and professional
- Really easy to communicate prior the trip (WhatsApp, e-mail etc)
- Great and professional safari guides - and the best addition is that they also have common dinner with you in the evenings and chat about Tanzania, history, politics, nature etc.
- Normal price compared to other safari providers
- Tasty food
- Good cars
- Flexible - if you decide during the trip that you'd like to extend the safari for more days, all is possible
