Between the time we booked and the actual safari some things were changed but they worked out in our favor. If you want o see the Olduvai Gorge make sure that he knows that as we had to take a detour to see it. It is worth seeing as the museum is completed and you can visit the ruins.

Personal attention. High quality. Amazing value. Eager to please customers.
Fantastic company and staff. I booked 7-day budget camping safari and 3 days of individual custom tours. OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE in all regards. EXCELLENT VALUE. Personal, caring, and fast attention from booking, picking you at the airport upon arrival, all the way to taking you to the airport the last day. First day owner came to hotel to introduce himself and explain my booking. He even invited me lunch in local restaurant! First night and last night in Hotel Venice in Arusha were excellent. 7-day budget safari camping was an INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE. Our chef’s food was fantastic every day. Frank our driver/guide knew the best time and place to be to see the best of everything AWESOME. He provided an amazing amount of information on plants, animals, and culture. Got great photos of the Big Five and much more. Tents were sturdy and in great condition. Campsites were basic, clean, and in great condition. 3 individual custom days were outstanding: Kilimanjaro Mandara Huts hike; Maasai village visit; Hot spring visit. Every day I had a driver and a knowledgeable local guide. For example, local Maasai villager that took me around village, explain customs and local knowledge, and took me to the local market. These Foot Slopes staff are knowledgeable, motivated, and ready to do what it takes to please their customers. Trust them and enjoy!

Excellent value and responsiveness
As a solo traveler, I joined a 7-day budget camping group safari organized by Foot Slopes that covered Arusha NP, Tarangire NP, Lake Manyara NP, Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Serengeti NP.
There are no guarantees on safari but we saw a ton and I was very pleased. The driver was friendly and knowledgeable, and the cook not only made good food but was an engaging person who made meal times and evenings fun. It was also nice that we were in a Land Rover Defender, which, in my opinion, is a far superior vehicle to the Toyota Land Cruiser that seemed to be far more commonly used by tour operators.
Overall, Foot Slopes offered excellent value for the price.
Unfortunately, some members of my group were clueless about safari rules and common sense safari etiquette and engaged in inappropriate behavior that affected other people in the group. The driver didn't put a stop to this immediately. I spoke with him twice and when he finally did something on the last day of the safari, he handled it in a less-than-ideal manner.
Obviously, a tour operator really has no way to identify clients who will misbehave beforehand, and I empathize with drivers who for obvious reasons have some strong incentives to shy away from standing up to clients, even when they behave like self-absorbed jerks.
It's easy to give 4 and 5 star reviews when everything goes well, but how companies respond to problems reveals a lot about how good they are, and on this front, Foot Slopes was fantastic. My contact at Foot Slopes was very interested in my feedback and within 30 minutes of arriving at the hotel after the safari ended, was on site asking to sit down with me to see how everything went.
He took very seriously my complaints about the other group members' behavior and I believe the company will follow through in talking to the driver so that if he ever finds himself in an unfortunate, touchy situation like this again, he knows how he should handle it.
I'm giving Foot Slopes 5 stars because despite dealing with rude safari mates, I still enjoyed my safari thoroughly, the value was very high, and Foot Slopes clearly cared about my satisfaction and the quality of its offering.
While I'm going to be very hesitant about joining group safaris going forward because of the uncertainty that is present with them (regardless of who the tour operator is), I wouldn't hesitate to do a private Northern Circuit safari with Foot Slopes in the future and plan to do so once I can round up a few friends.

Breathtaking experience
We were on a 4 day safari. Our guide Emanuel was very kind and he provided us lot of further information about the animals. We were also able to see a lot of animals thanks to him, even crocodile that is not easy to spit(a lot of cars just passed by without stopping). Every meal prepared by our cook was delicious and we got enough of it. You dont have to be afraid of food. You will have various options of different meals and there is no chance you will be hungry anytime during your trip. Our family was very pleased with the staff and the whole trip in general.

Unforgettable experience!
My experience with Foot Slopers Tour & Safaris was amazing.
I organized my holidays in Tanzania by myself and it was hard to find the right safari tour.
After contacting a lot of company I chose Foot Slopers Tour & Safaris as they are really professional, flexible trying to suits my needs ( I had some issue paying the activity in advance from Europe).
The tour itself was amazing. Our guide Victor had good eyes catching animals and we saw all big 5 and lot of other rare to see animals.
I highly recommend this tour, It was an incredible experience!

Fantastic 5 day camping safari with an excellent guide!
Our group of 6 --> Footslopes tour: Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Arusha National Park 5 day safari.
The BEST part about this tour was our guide Nixon. I had seen his name mentioned in the tripadvisor reviews but you have to truly meet the man to appreciate his awesomeness. He was full of energy and truly loves his job as a safari guide. Beyond studying wildlife management at university, he is planning to get more training as a safari guide in a summer course to be, in his words, “even better.” He has the eagle eyes required for a guide, is attentive to his clients’ needs, and a warm heart. When I asked him why he chose Footslopes, he said a big reason is that the manager Gabriel is “a good man”. A company where the staff respect each other is sure to provide excellent service, which is what we got!
Highlights:
Comprehensive customer service -
1. Whatsapp messages and emails were replied to within 1 hour. I don't know how they did this, but someone must be always working in the office. My friends from Hong Kong said they also had rapid replies.
2. We got a complimentary pick up by the manager Gabriel and driver Nixon from Haidom, a small town very far from their office from Arusha, where we were doing some medical work. This was included in our safari price, as was a separate airport pickup for one of our party. They also dropped us off at the airport the day after our safari ended and we were all staying in different places. AMAZING.
3. Our cook Rama met my special request and made chapati, a roti-style pancake, on our last day which was delicious!
Competitive pricing -
I had done some field research and asked about 5 other companies for quotes for similar itineraries and Footslopes was by far the most competitive. I learned that it was because they own their own gear, so prices can be quite low for camping. The main office has 10 desk employees, excluding the field operators.
Fabulous itinerary
Totally worth it for 5 days, as each park features slightly different animal viewings. Of course, this is nature, not an enclave! But we saw very different things in each park, including lions hunting and feeding, tree sleeping lions, flocks of flamingos, and of course the hugely entertaining baboons.
Lodging Notes:
1st night at a tented lodge - the tent was comparable in size to our camping tents, with slatted beds. The beds were not my favorite but the view of Lake Manyara was stunning. Also entertaining after dinner show.
2nd night - camping at the Serengeti Nyambi site. There were hyenas at night, a bright full moon and a beautiful sunrise/sunset. SUPER COOL experience. Cold showers + toilets on site.
3rd night - camping at Ngorongoro Hills Simba A site. African buffaloes at night grazing next to our tents, an even larger moon over the mountains, and lukewarm showers.
4th night - a hotel in Arusha (?!?!?!?!) I didn’t realize this was included but the Venice hotel was FABULOUS and the best place I stayed in Tanzania. Really updated interiors, nicely designed mosquito net, new showers with plenty of hot water. The dinner was slow to come out (we missed our camping cook Rama!).
TL:DR;
Safari of the amazing East African wildlife with an BEYOND amazing company and staff. I strongly recommend Footslopes!
