A bad organitzacion tour
It was a bad experience.
Every day they come to pick up late, the excursions were different that we read on the tour information. The last day they don't pick up us to take to the airport, we've got to take a taxi after waiting and calling them for more than 30 minutes.
The guides were so kindly and good, but the organitzacion was very bad.

Posted on Nov 20, 2018Hello Sandra,
We thank you for the feedback,
You had booked with us this tour and you cover all the above which you had requested https://www.safaribookings.com/tours/t11708 is it different for what we offer you? even safaribookings.com can proved what you have requested here on this booking platform!!!
You had planned to arrive on 7th October 2017 18.00 at Arusha airport but your flight late and arrived at 18:20pm and our pick driver was there waiting for your arrival how come you write we had late for picking up you?
=Can you let us know which part of the tour you didn't covered?
=Every day after your tour you meet our team and discussed with them about the time of pick and tour start is it right?
Day1 Arusha to Tarangire:
Pick up 8:30am Departure 9:00am you were only 4 pax and your driver guide was Marrit we was there during the departure time
-After you back from the safari you meet one of our team and discussed with him about the next day and you meet driver together with guide as well
Day2: Arusha to Masai Village
Pick at 7:00am you guide was Mr Paroko
-When you back from the Masai Village you meet our team together with the same guide and driver planning the time of pick and departure time for kilimanjaro in the next day
Day 3 Arusha to Kilimanjaro day Trek
Pick up 7:00am Departure 7:30am Our guide and driver was in the hotel on time but one of tourist late to wake up,through told her departure is at 7:30am, and she apologized for her late, is it fair to left her and not get to mountain? after Kilimanjaro our driver drop her to Keys Hotel in Moshi and you back to Arusha
=Even we picked up her from keys hotel and drop her to JRO she was there waiting for us, why don't you wait us?? we had planned pick up is at 7:30am drop you off to Meza Luna and not as you said to Airport!
=We know all time of pick up of our clients and drop off time, even you can asked other clients who travel with us
=The last day of the tour the drop of it will be at Shuttle bus and not airport and departure time for the shuttle was 8:00am from Meza Luna and we told you the pick it will be at 7:30am and drop off to Shuttle but you take another one, we had told you one of our team will come at the hotel for picking and you had already in the tax and told you he come for taking you shuttle but you told him that you was already late, even you tell can you take our T-shirt gift for you?reply is your already late but when you get to shuttle you have still time to wait for departure
-For us we never mis organized the tour to our clients, what you request is what we offer
We had never late to take any of our clients to what they booked with us, May be you forget what you had booked but the above is the tour you booked and we put the phone number of the guide who take take to the tour because everyday before the tour one member of our team meet you and discussed about time
-Why don't tell us we are late when we meet you every time after your excursion? The pick and departure time for your tour was the same as we had discussed, if then the above email and telephone number from our guide and driver is proved information
-Is the time we planned together with driver and guide go opposite?
We thank you for the feedback any way

4-day safari was wonderful, 6-day safari not so much
Foot Slopes was wonderful about communication right from when I first submitted a request for a quote. They were very responsive and answered all of my questions fully. The first four days of the tour were wonderful--I was with a great group of people, and our guide Freddy was amazing and passionate about showing us Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorogoro Crater, and all the places in between. He was personable, knowledgeable, and seemed to really enjoy what he was doing. After the fourth day, the group I had been with finished their safari and I continued on for two more days to Lake Manyara and to hike in Kilimanjaro National Park. I was matched up with two different groups and communication between the tour guides and Foot Slopes seemed to be lacking. On the fifth day, we waited for the guide to arrive for many hours, and when we finally got started, the car broke down, the guide reeked of alcohol, and it took over an hour to fix the situation. The new guide was not friendly, barely commented on the animals and natural scenery, and rushed us through the park. On the final day of the tour, I was matched up with another group and we hiked in Kilimanjaro National Park. The hike was beautiful, but a lot more difficult than it had been marketed. I hadn't realized that I'd need hiking apparel and wasn't prepared for the terrain, so the hike wasn't as enjoyable as it could have been. If you're thinking about taking Foot Slopes four-day safari, you'll probably have a great experience as it seems like this is what the majority of travelers choose. However, if you're taking a longer safari, the experience might be more hit or miss.

A good safari, but planning and driver could be better.
Very good coverage by the agency at the airport. Good communication with the agency. Good service in the hotel before and after the safari.
The guide was more interested by the girls of the group than in his work of guide
We lost too much time to go shopping (1/2 day on the first day and 1/2 day on the last day)
Bad planning of the day. We had to build up tents in the night and have the diner around 10 PM
The driver did not respect the rules in the park (driving out of ways)
Overspeed on the road is not safe (the driver toke a overspeed bill)

Very nice but...
I booked my safari tour through Mohji website. The communication was very nice and easy, I received quick and clear answers to all my questions before, during and after the trip! I did 2 days safari in Tarangire and Ngorongoro. The first day was perfect: good guide, good food, perfect organization, wonderful Park etc. The second was a bit harder: I planned to take my flight at Kilimandjaro airport after visitting Ngorongoro, and this was more difficult. We were all in a hurry because I had to take my flight, so the other ones, who had no flight to take, felt a bit frustrated to have to go fast sometimes. On my side, I was feeling guilty for the others, and I was quite stressed, because the guide wanted to satisfy the others, and we left the Park at 4PM (it was originally planned to leave it around 2PM so that I have time to reach the airport). The guide kept telling me: no worries, you have time! So in the end, I wanted to arrive at Kilimandjaro airport at 7.30 and we only arrived in Arusha around 7 (still more than 1 hour to reach the airport). They then provided me with a cab that drove super fast in order to arrive on time, I was super scared because it was night, and we sometimes drove at 100km per hour, slaloming between the cars. I arrived just at the end of the check-in, just on time.
So the only problem I really found was that mismatch between people having plenty of time and wanting to enjoy their safari, and me having to take my flight while they told me that would be no problem. Except this, everything was fine, nice and well organized. I can just recommend you not to include a safari day the day you have your flight, even if you are said it will be easy.

Wonderful budget experience
We booked the safari one month in advance and we chose the 4 nights tented solutions, the cheapest one.
The organization was very good and all members of the staff very kind, from the moment we landed in Arusha until the end of the trip.
We enjoyed the game drives especially at Serengeti and Ngorongoro National parks. We had a great time with FRANK, our guide, which took us to see the best places and almost all the savana's animals. He is an expert guide and we appreciated a lot the descriptions and explanations he made.
DAVID, the cook, made our trip even better thanks to his delicious meals.
We really recommend both of them.
Thanks a lot to all Foot Slopes' Staff for making our experience unforgettable!

A Magical Journey
We had a great experience with Foot Slopes. The service from the minute we landed , all through out the safari , till the moment we got dropped back at the airport was amazing.
Friendly, knowledgable staff, great driver/guide who looked after us and put great efforts into explaining in great detail. The schedule was well planned and executed each day and left us with plenty of time to view animals at our own pace.
Three bits of negative feedback are:
1 - The sleeping bags were too thin, especially for the cold nights in Ngorongoro Crater and could have done with thicker sleeping bags.
2 - We found out that we paid far more than anyone else in the group, which was very unfair especially since everyone else had paid for the exact same experience.
3 - We were 7 instead of 6 people in the car which meant that it was overcrowded.
The Safari itself was amazing, but the company needs to work a little more on organising things better both from a comfort and logistical perspective.

A great choice for a Safari
One of the best parts of Foot Slopes was their fast response to my emails leading up to the trip. The tour itself was great and everything was taken care of; I literally just had to show up. The itinerary was changed without prior notice, but we still did everything that was stated. The days (the order in which we did things) were switched a bit to accommodate others joining parts of the tour. We were well taken care of by our guide.

VEry good staff
I spent three days in Tanzania, having spent a day on a safari, a day in a Masai village and a day on kilimanjaro, and everything went very well.
The pic-nic was good and with enough food, worth having been the exact same "menu" in the three days.
The person in charge of the company received us on the day of arrival and at the end of each day of activities.
In terms of follow-up during activities, we can say that they have sinned but by excess, since we were only a couple and we had three guides.
I advise choosing this company for a few days in Tanzania.
From Portugal.

Great value for money
Communications were great with foot slopes. We got picked up and dropped off at the airport and they provided us with 2 extra nights at the hotel free of charge. The hotel in Arusha (Venice Hotel) was clean, had AC and even hot showers. The food was average but this was to be expected. The safari itself was excellent. Be prepared to spend a lot of time in the jeep getting to and between different parks. Having said that our driver had 15 years of experience which meant that we saw all the animals (including the big 5) we wanted to and had a fantastic time.

4 day budget safari
Me and my partner went on a group safari, budget camping for 4 days, visiting Tarangire NP, Serengeti NP and Ngorongoro crater and we had an wonderful experience. Communication with Foot Slopes was very good throughout the booking, they answered our questions always the same days as we sent them. A driver was already waiting for us when we arrived at the airport and took us to Arusha and the rest of the group (we were a total at 6 persons). Our guide Nickson was very professional and patient (though the group sometimes had different opinions about how much time to spend at different places and animals) and did everything he could to make us see many animals as close as possible. We were lucky to spot a rhino our last day so in the end we saw the big 5, we also spotted giraffe, zebra, hippopotamus, cheetah, warthog, hyena, etc etc. The vehicle was comfortable. Food was OK though personally we would prefer to eat something more local as the chef sometimes failed being a bit too ambitious making us fries, pizza and other "western food" when we all were just craving for rice, chapati, curry, veggies or else. After safari Foot Slopes helped us to find a nice budget hotel in Arusha and the day after they drove us back to the airport for no extra cost. In summary we are really pleased with the safari and the excellent service Nickson and the rest of the team from Foot Slopes offered us. We can warmly recommend them. Have in mind before booking the same 4 day budget safari that it's a lot of distance and many hours driving at bumpy rodes if you want to go to Serengeti NP.
