Great experience
We had a great experience with Hekima despite some initial difficulties that were sorted out perfectly. The company helped us to modify a tour to make it more suitable for us and they were always in direct contact with us in case we needed anything. I would recommend it.

Unique Safari Experience
We did a 4 day safari tour with Hekima, which was an amazing experience! We visited Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Lake Eyasi and discovered Arusha National Park at a walking safari.
We booked everything the day when we arrived in Hekima House, where the stuff is so friendly and welcoming that you don´´ t feel like being in a Hostel but at a friends place. Arranging the safari was really easygoing and they followed our wishes perfectly and gave good recommendation what suits best so that we had a really diversified tour with a lot of animals, haunting with the hadzabe and last but not least the walking tour, which is a great experience after sitting in the car for 3 days.
In the evening we always had a great dinner and our guide put much effort in us feeling comfortable. For example organizing a bonfire, show us the sundowner at the lake or just entertaining us;)

Wonderful Safari , Trustworthy Operator, Friendly Staff
With Hekima, we did a 4 day safari (Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro) and 2 day trips to Kikuletwa Hotsprings and Kilimanjaro.
Safari experience was really good. Our driver/guide Moses was really experienced and friendly. He knows where to drive and when to start the game drives. In Serengeti, we started the game drive at 6:00 and saw a kind of conflict between a lion and hyaena clan just at the beginning. Many safari cars came half an hour later and missed the whole show.
The food in safari was above my expectations. If protein is important in your diet, you must bring it for yourself. Meat amount was little as expected.
The sleeping bags and tents are taken from a place in Mto wa Mbu. I guess most operators do the same since I saw similar tents in campsites. Tents were a bit smelly at first night. Sleeping bags have different models and conditions. Some of them are not suitable for the night at Ngorongoro especially for the girls (5-10 'C). But wearing layers during the sleep can suffice.
The only problem in our experience with Hekima was in Kilimanjaro Day hike. We started the day nearly 2 hours later than suggested time and we needed to rush a lot for completing the hike before 6pm (after 6 hiking is prohibited). Because of this we could not see Maundi Crater and did not enjoy the hike since we did not give breaks and need to complete the whole hike in 4 hours (nearly double speed). They must be more careful on this kind of arrangements and must consider the traffic and park rules.

A unique and beautiful experience
We stayed in the Hekima House and booked the Safari directly when we arrived. The stuff was very kind and helped us in every belongings. The safari itself was a unique experience, we saw a lot of animals and visited the Hadzabe. I would defenently book a tour with Hekima again!

Really wonderful experience that beyond expectation!!!
Was really treated like a friend which is beyond expectation and as a solo traveller, I feel at home at Hekima House with the team - Elieza and Jackson - and other travellers. Our driver as well as guide is also super experienced - can spot the leopard far far far away in the bush - and always focus on details and every person's need. Our chef and assistant are also very sweet and make delicious food for us. It's overall a fantastic experience and highly recommended! GoHekima!

So the team Elieza, Jumma, Michael, and Jackson delivered what they promised. It is tough to choose between so many tour operators and eventually, you need to trust your guts before you book one of them. Being a vegetarian they took good care of my needs when it came to food. The accommodation was simply decent. Our guide Jumma made sure we see all the big, ugly and small five. Due to his patience, we also got to see a hunt and it was once in a lifetime experience. Keep up the good work guys.

These guys know what the customer needs very well
Safari is a once in a lifetime opportunity for many and I am no exception. Hekima understood that and brought back the National Geographic kid back to life with an extravagant safari experience. Our tour guide Jumma is a very experienced guide with hawk eyes, who made sure we spot the big five and also rare to spot honeybadger and the Karakal. I will suggest you all to give Hekima a try, as these guys are doing a wonderful job as a start up and bring Tanzanian tourism on the global map.

Great Experience with an Amazing Crew!
The staff at Hekima - right from Elieza, Jackson, Juma, Michael and others, always went the extra mile to ensure nothing short of an incredible safari experience. We were a group of 6 guys and all our needs (including varying dietary requirements) were taken care of. I would also suggest a stay at Hekima House before and after the safari.
Special credit to Juma, who was our driver as well as guide for the 5 days. He had extremely sharp eyes that could spot a honey badger a mile out in the grassland. He took extra efforts to allow us to see the Great Migration that had drifted off farther than the normal safari routes. Add to this his impressive knowledge of the various wild animals and his excellent sense of humor, we really couldn't have asked for a better guide!
Hekima will ensure that extra "personal touch" to your experience. You will end up making friends for life. Highly recommended!
