Friendly, experienced guide and pretty well organized trip all in all.
5/5

I have some recommendations to help improve future guided tours.

First, avoiding Kampala as much as possible is what all of us agreed on. It is not fun to drive through. The Cassia Lodge there had beautiful views but was my least favorite of the places we stayed. Staying in Entebbe seems better, as it was much more pleasant.

The salt extraction tour should be removed from future tours, I can't see any tourist interested in that, plus it was pretty gross.

Green World had great communications before the trip. They answered all our questions. Communication during trip sometimes needed to be stronger, giving us concrete times to be places with precise instructions. It was really close to being perfect, but there were at times frustration from people thinking they heard different times and what to do at those times. Perhaps writing in on a small tablet with dry erase pens each day, as it's sometimes hard to hear at lodges?

Tips for all guides on ALL excursions (boat trips, ranger led trips, Botwa tribe tour, etc etc) should just be included in the price of the tour. We REALLY REALLY hated having to figure out by surprise that there were more people to tip along the trip and to bring all that cash and figure out tips each day. THIS IS MY NUMBER ONE RECOMMENDATION for Green World, just add a few hundred dollars to your price and your guides cover all tips for hotel staff, guides, rangers, schools visited, etc etc. We did not like that every person we met we just felt like it was a money grab. We actually got really sick of this- we visit a school, they want money. We visit the Botwas, they several times/places ask for money. IT WAS ENDLESS! Please consider this, as it diminished our trip.

Really besides the tipping, everything else was minor and our trip was thoroughly enjoyable. We went to see the animals, and we saw tons! Thanks to Betty, Moses and George- we loved them all!

One of the best tours I have ever taken
5/5

I traveled to Uganda for a 16 day safari that I had dreamed about for so long. I traveled with 7 friends and we chose GreenWorld Safari’s. From the time we started the process till the time we actually left it was a 14 month process. Betty at GreenWorld was the greatest to work with. She was always so prompt on answering questions and she was able to offer some great suggestions to make our Safari the wonderful experience that it was. One friend had a birthday while on the trip and Betty even arranged a birthday cake for him. Our driver/guides Moses and George were knowledgeable and so fun to be around, any question that we had they either knew the answer or helped us figure it out. We chose the midrange accommodation option and all of the places that we stayed were over and above what we ever could have hoped for. All of the lodges had excellent food and the staff was all so friendly and willing to help us with anything. I would definitely use GreenWorld to travel again and again no question, they are the best.

An amazing introduction to the people and resources of Uganda
5/5

Green World did an amazing job of providing a trip that lets one see and experience some of the natural treasures the country has. From safaris, walking with gorillas, walking with chimps, checking out waterfalls and seeing the source of the Nile - the guides did a great job. The lodges were comfortable, people friendly and guides were all very professional. It is a strenuous trip but one that I heartily recommend.

What an amazing adventure! The itinerary couldn't have been better ... so well planned & varied. Safaris, treks with gorillas & chimps and a hike to find rhinos, as well as visits to a school, orphanage & Pygmy settlement really helped us experience a bit of Uganda. And driving thru the Uganda mountains gave us a glimpse of this gorgeous country. We also had a taste of city life spending a little time in Kampala & Entebbe.

Betty paid careful attention to important details & the needs of the travelers! Our drivers, Moses & George did an incredible job of transporting & guiding us thru the entire trip! The culminating cultural dance on our last night was just icing on the cake! I would take this trip again.

Gorilla Mountain Trekking and Visiting Other Ugandan Sights
5/5

Green World offered excellent communication and personnel. The guides were knowledgeable and able to share information about the country, culture and wildlife. They were interested in making the trip a great experience and tried to accommodate the needs of the group to the best of their ability. The lodges were very nice and better than anticipated. I would highly recommend this company for a well-rounded trip to the beautiful country (people and scenery) of Uganda. Thank you Betty, Moses, Godfrey and John!

We were very pleased with our Green World Safari trip - so many different adventures!
5/5

Awesome vacation with Green World Safari. Betty was very accessible via email during all the planning stages and questions. Moses, Godfrey, and John were excellent drivers/guides - A few folks thought that, given the road conditions, sometimes they drove too fast. Our days were full! Would have perhaps been good to have a few open evenings, but we wouldn't have wanted to miss anything either! One concern was some of our group having to share accommodations at Murchison River Lodge.....not fair to some that others of us had our own space. I've already talked with Betty about that. Godfrey knows all the animals and birds which was a hit for us! John and Moses knew many, as well. We appreciated all of the learning and knowledge that these guides shared with us. Concern that one of the steering wheels came off while driving - a bit scary! The best shopping was the first day at the outside market in Murchison park, I think. Fabric and prices seemed to be the best there. Accommodations were very nice....we were very pleased......and meals were wonderful. We do like our eggs for breakfast which were available most days. THANK YOU! Ndere Cultural center was a perfect way to end our time together. Mick and I both enjoyed being "leaders" and organizers for the group. THANK YOU for our Ugandan gifts, Betty. That was very thoughtful of you. We hope the tipping worked out for all of our stops and the guides. We tried our best to check on all of that ahead of time. We thank you all for our fabulous time in Uganda. It was heartwarming that you picked us all up with our late arrival in Entebbe.....and made sure we had so many opportunities along the way. We will share our experiences, photos, and adventures. Mick and I hope to see you all again someday! Let us know if any of the four of you ever come to Colorado....you are most welcome! We wish you the very best. Mick and Nancy Sommer, Golden Colorado.

Good communication, good driver.
5/5

For years I have made for tourists from Denmark, and I have been co-operating with Green World Safari. It is a very professional company, which offers you a very good service.
The driver is good and helps you with everything, and he arrives to the hotel in time.
