Wonderful vacation of a lifetime.
Hearing about a Safari and going on one are completely different. This was a dream come true. Our guide was so friendly, knowledgeable and kind. I hope to do it again. To view animals in their habitat within arms reach is unbelievable. I would encourage anyone to do a safari, before it's too late.

BEST TRAVEL EXPERIENCE EVER
Lion King Adventure is the best choice for us to starting our unforgettable and amazing vacation in Tanzania due to their professionalism. They are very patient and responsive to answer all the enquiries and questions by making us feel relieved.
We are grateful to have Ossie as our safari guide during this journey. Due to Ossie is a very knowledgeable and experience guide, he familiar with the animals living style and the landscape. We were lucky to spot big five, ugly five and wildebeest migration in first few days. He always told us about the habit and living styles of the animals once we saw them. It is very interesting and broaden my horizons. He parked the Jeep at the good position all the time, we took a lots great photos with excellent angle of the animals. Ossie kept the Jeep extremely clean and comfortable. Also, he is very good sense of humour. He’s always can make us laugh during the trip. He taught us singing the JOMBO song and saying Swahili to the people and made us know more about their way to greet local people. We are interacted and connected with the local people made us feel closer with them.
We do appreciate it what Oussie done on my friend birthday, he organized the little birthday party for her with birthday cake with my friend’s name on top and the all the staff come out to sang birthday song to her during the dinner time at the hotel. It is so touched and surprised. Because his arrangement, my friend had an unforgettable and special birthday in her life.
When we came back to our home country, we do discuss when will we come back to this place again!!! We do miss the day we were in TANZANIA no matter of the people and the animals.

Unforgettable adventure experience in Tanzania
First of all, I would like to say a big thank you to the entire team of “Lion King adventure” as they gave me a memorable experience in Tanzania and of course, our lovely hero “Oussie” accompanied us during this visit, absolutely is a plus on this adventure tour.
In fact, I was a bit nervous before going Tanzania and joining this adventure tour. However, I believed that I made a good choice to calm me down as I choose “Lion King adventure” to be my Safari operator. They are all well organized, details oriented, knowledgeable with great customer service, which is in a reasonable price range.
And I want to say a big big thank you and give my big hug to our super hero “Oussie” as he is our safari guide during this adventure, which is really the enhancement of this trip….haha…..He is really knowledgeable and professional of the surroundings animals and landscape. He always do his best to explore the best way or the best angle for us to see the animals which like Big Five and Wildebeest migration. Also, he was very kind and attentive to take care of us as I remembered that an object was found in the parking bay which might be have danger but we did not inform him at that moment. However, we believed that he alerted of such by his own observation and changed the parking space in the next route, which really impressed me. Besides, he also taught us the local language “Swahili” and tested us day by day in order to make sure we understood. We just like friends/family and really made me feel “Home Sweet Home”, and easy to blend into their daily life of Tanzania. I am really appreciated for his kindness and the sense of humor. I think he really take his extra miles to take care of us during the adventure, which make us become friends/family members.
From my deep inside, I am highly recommend ““Lion King adventure” as your choice because of their professionalism and service oriented culture.

Amazing Safari tour in Tanzania
Lion King Adventure is a well organised, reliable and professional safari operator. Pendo is our contact person who answered my enquiry patiently and clearly.
I am extremely satisfied our tour guide Oussie, he is really knowledgeable and professional about habits of animals and landscapes. We are very lucky to spot Big Five and ten thousand of migration in first few days.
I really big thanks for him because he took good care of us and he specially arranged a little birthday party to me, it was so surprise and touching. That must be unforgettable and special birthday in my life.
If I travel Tanzania again, I must choose Lion King Adventures and Oussie!

Wonderful Well Planned Family Adventure with a Perfect Guide
Lion King Adventures was great from the start. The office staff was promptly responsive to my emails, answered all of my questions, gave advice on planning, and modified the trip to suit our needs. Every request I had was met and fulfilled - and this was before we even got to Tanzania. Everything (vehicles, accommodations, meals, entrance fees etc.) from the moment we stepped off the plane to the moment we left was perfectly planned and went smoothly. My husband, my 14 year old daughter, my 11 year old son and I couldn't have imagined a better trip. Our guide, Goodluck, cared about what we were interested in and cared about teaching us about Tanzania. We felt like the entire experience with him was very personal and so special. I don't think I can properly describe how much we appreciate (and, frankly, will miss) Goodluck - he made an impact on our lives. A safari is not "easy" traveling (we preferred (chose) to be out in the vehicle as much as possible to see as much as possible), but it was nice to arrive at clean, comfortable and very nice accommodations in the evenings and be well fed throughout. I highly recommend Lion King Adventures.

Absolutely magical 21 day safari
The two of us spent 21 days camping (some public campsites, some tented camps) through Lake Manyara, Serengeti Central, Serengeti North, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire. This is our second trip through Africa and Tanzania; we had certain expectations and Lion King Adventures consistently exceeded them. This was our first with Lion King.
Our first contact with Lion King was via email with Wilbard. He answered all our questions clearly and fully, was flexible and tailored the trip to exactly our needs, and provided comprehensive (and as we found out on the trip) very good advice to us. His service and attitude was one of the main reasons we went with Lion King. Once the itinerary was nailed down we were in contact with Anna to sort out payment and the finer details; she was as attentive and detailed as Wilbard, and responded quickly to questions and acknowledging payment. The whole process before we arrived in Tanzania was smooth and worry free. We met James (the owner) and Wilbard at the end of the trip; Wilbard was keen to get our feedback and thoughts to improve the service he and Lion King offer.
We travelled with a guide / driver, Salehe, and a cook, Kurimu. They were both fantastic fun, professional and considerate for the entire trip. They were extremely flexible, tailoring and fettling the trip for us as we progressed, such as tweaking the food and seeking out quieter, less ‘touristy’ places. Each and every day they worked unfailingly hard to ensure we had the trip of a lifetime.
The food prepared by Kurimu was exceptionally good, even better than that at the tented camps, and was made to our preferences and tastes as we had outlined to Anna. There was lots of variety, fresh fruits and vegetables, and the meals were so big that there were always leftovers (though not for our lack of trying). Given the conditions, facilities (or lack thereof) and the distances involved it was a fantastic effort on Kurimu’s part.
Our driver / guide Salehe was with us all day while Kurimu generally stayed back at camp. We enjoyed Salehe's company very much. He was friendly, informative and very flexible. He had eyes like an eagle, seeing things we would definitely have missed without him. He was adept at placing the car in the best possible position for us (a miracle as one of us was operating a long lensed camera, the other a video) and always ensured we had enough time. He was patient, especially with the migration crossings over the Mara river. We saw more than we could have ever expected – including over 150 lions and cubs, 8 migration crossings, a serval, multiple cheetahs and cubs, leopards and cubs, baby giraffe, incredibly coloured lizard and birds – and with many of the animals we saw them at very close range. Truly magical.
Salehe was flexible with the timing and duration of the daily drives. We stayed out all day as long as possible to maximise our chances of seeing animals. There was more than enough water on board and, with Kurimu’s packed lunches, it was more efficient than returning to camp for lunch.
The car, a Toyota Land Cruiser, was great. There were only the two of us in the back, giving us more than adequate room and great visibility with the pop top roof and four seats. The windows were different from other vehicles out there; they could be wound right down (rather than sliding half way across like others) allowing lots of room to 'hang out' and take photos and video. The car had a power-board with multiple points which allowed us to always keep our batteries fully charged and avoid the camp site scrum for power. The video battery, which usually takes overnight to charge, charged fully during the day as we drove. Mechanically the car was well maintained and had no issues on the trip. It was always kept very clean and well organised, Salehe spending hours at the end of each day cleaning and prepping the car for the next day.
From start to end (right from first contact to being dropped off at the airport), there is nothing we can think of that would have made the trip any better. Lion King more than delivered what they said they would.
In the end we simply did not want to come home.
A few tips for the Serengeti:
Show your driver/guide your camera gear early, tell them what it can do and what you want. That way they will work for you in getting the best position for the gear you have.
Disposable underwear. Washing takes your time and in most of the places they will not wash your underwear for you. Buy cheap undies, shed them as you go, it’s easier and simpler. Shirts, jeans and the rest usually costs around USD 2 to 3 per piece for next day laundry.
Your mobile phone isn’t good enough for photos. You’ll get some half-reasonable happy snaps but honestly, it’s not good enough. If you’ve paid to get to the Serengeti fork out the extra $200 to $500 for a zoom digital camera – you’ll not regret it.
You don’t have enough memory. Bring extra memory cards. You’ll need them.

Great locations, lodges and passionate guide
It was very easy to arrange our tour with Lion King Adventures. They were quick to respond and gave us great options. When we suggested alternative options they accommodated us. Everything was taken care of beautifully and professionally, including transfers, although it would have been useful if they also allowed us to book flights through them rather than separately.
Guide on safari was very knowledgeable and passionate, but was slightly reluctant to take our request for change of itinerary on board (e.g. we wanted to chill one afternoon by the lodge rather than go on safari again) but this was mainly because hew wanted to maximize our safari experience.
Recommended.

Trip of a lifetime, Lion King were amazing!
We did a 6 night safari in August for our honeymoon and it was an amazing experience. We changed our itinerary 3 or 4 times and Lion King were very accommodating. The accommodation was incredible and the food was excellent. My wife has a nut allergy and Lion King let the hotels know so that we didn't need to worry about it. Our guide, David, was fantastic and went above and beyond to ensure we got the most out of the experience. I would definitely recommend using Lion King Adventures!
