If I was going to do another safari I would use Lion King again. From beginning to end everyone I dealt with was professional and friendly. It was a great trip and our guide made sure we got to experience everything we wanted to see. He was very knowledgeable and provided a lot of info. The accommodations were wonderful. Overall a super experience!

The best!
When we started planning our trip to Tanzania, our main goal was that of fulfilling our dream to see the amazing wildlife inhabiting the country.
We contacted many safari agencies but eventually, we decided to trust peoples’ opinions and chose the best reviewed one, lion king adventures.
The safari exceeded our expectations. Not only did we get to admire the big fives, but also every possible animal inhabiting the places we visited (tarangire national park, Serengeti, Ngorongoro crater and lake manyara).
This was mainly thanks to our super guide Shafino, who took care of us like a parent would do.
One of the first things he said was that we could ask him anything we wanted by humbly adding he did not know everything. However, there is no single question we asked that remained unanswered. Shafino knows everything about the places you are going to visit and about animals and birds.
He started every day of our adventure with one mission, and I can assure, he accomplished all of them. Shafino also made sure we enjoyed our holiday to the fullest and was always available and open to our needs.
I really recommend to go on an adventure with Shafino and lion king !
Incredible experience with Lion
We decided to pick up Lion King because of the good reviews and we were not disappointed. The Safari with them was literally over my expectations. We had a 6 days safari covering Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara. Every place is so different from each other and deserve to be visited. We were able to spot all the animals (big five included) in just two days thanks to our guide Shafino. He is a very good man and the perfect guide. He knows everything about the places you are going to visit and about the animals you are going to see. He knows the names and the peculiarities of every single animal and birds too. It was like being inside a National Geographic documentary. Shafino made our Safari unforgettable, he took care of us and he woke up every morning with the mission of letting us spot as many animals as he could. Thank you Shafino and thank you Lion King for making this trip one of the best memories of our life.

Amazing safari adventure with great team.
Lion King team was just great!
Start from the safari planning - flexibility and availability for any question or special need, arriving to Arusha and of course the safari itself with Leonard the guide & Karim the Chef.
Great equipment and safari vehicle, very responsible driving with all the long and dusty off road drives to the Serengeti & back and vast knowledge over the animals in the parks and how to track them which made this trip unforgettable.

Simply the best!
Lion King is simply the best! We selected it because it was the best rated company and now we know it is best rated for a reason.
First, because of the guides. Our guide, Gama was exceptional. Excellent knowledge of the area, always finding the best spots super close to the animals. He knew exactly when we want to do something different and once for example arranged for me a kayak tour in lake Manyara which was not planned in advance. My friend wanted to see baby lions and was well served in Serengeti.
Second, the lodges were very well selected, exceeding our expectations, cooked meals for lunch every day, coffee after lunch, the whole organisation was perfect.
Third, reliability and professionalism - our luggage was lost by the airline. Our guide was constantly in contact with Kilimanjaro airport and collected the bags immediately after they were found and delivered in Serengeti.

Delivers on its promises...
Our 10-day Lion King safari met all our expectations. We saw an amazing number of animals and the accomodations with one exception were fine (and the other wasn't awful, just not ready for prime time yet.) We booked the middle level package, so there was a nice mix of top lodges and middling camping lodges as you would expect. Our guide, Joseph, was outstanding. With his eight years of experience he was able to spot hidden animals with incredible accuracy and could identify not just the big beasts but the birds and smaller critters as well--which were of particular interest to us. His depth of knowledge was really amazing and his driving skills were perfect--never a sense of concern but we didn't get stuck behind the crowds either. The back office was less than ideal leading up to the event (it was unclear when we were supposed to pay the balance after making a deposit and had our itinerary changed because we hadn't paid well befor the due date. Some notice earlier would have been nice). Pay the balance at least a few months early. Also, be prepared to have some difficulty paying--no credit cards, no checks. We had to sign up for the Wise system and do a foreign bank transfer through it, which left us a little worried. All went fine. Also, the ATMs are picky in Arusha and wouldn't take any of our cards for cash withdrawals. Bring your tipping cash with you. One other tip--we chose to come a day early and do a Kilimanjaro short hike. Don't bother. Unless you are going to truly hike the mountain, the day trip is dull and not worth the time or money. In th end this was a great trip--we chose Lion King because our son and his fiancee had used them during the Covid year and recommended them highly. We do too.

Exceptional tour operator who delivers a first rate Safari!
An absolutely amazing trip! We saw virtually every animal you can imagine as well as animal behaviour - mating, fighting, devouring kills, caring for their young, herds and solos. The migration of the wildebeests was spectacular to see. The views from the hot air balloon were breathtaking! The accommodations were varied (hotels, bush camps, etc) and all very comfortable with great and plentiful meals. Our guide, Luther, was just the best - personable, competent, knowledgeable, patient, great driver. He worked tirelessly to ensure we had an outstanding experience, (which we did) always on the lookout for wildlife, willing to take as much time at any location as we wanted, willing to alter plans to suit our wishes. Pendo, our coordinator at the office, was a terrific communicator and ensured that our trip went off flawlessly. She was on top of everything and keen to be of assistance whenever needed. Lion King Adventures is a first rate company and I would highly recommend it to anyone contemplating an African Safari!

Incredible Safari experience -especially with Aziz our guide
We thoroughly enjoyed our honeymoon Safari experience with Lion King Adventures. We strongly recommend Aziz our safari guide, who was incredibly knowledgable about all animals we saw (from small as Ant lions to as large as the Eland). Aziz was also friendly, spoke perfect English, was always on time and made our Safari experience even more special. We saw all the big five, and many many more. The vehicle was comfortable and spacious, and fully stocked with refreshing cold drinks. Would recommend this company to anyone wanting to have a great Safari experience.
