Safari of a lifetime
It all started with the first email contact. All our intentions got put together in a very personal way into a perfect safari. All details of our safari exceeded our expectations. The guide, his knowledge and his humor made the safari memorable to us. The accommodations all had been on top level. We highly recommend this company to anyone!

Lion King did an incredible job with this tour - it truly was a once in a lifetime trip!
Lion King did an incredible job with this tour - it truly was a once in a lifetime trip and an experience I will never forget. The logistics of the trip were managed impressively, from the airport pickups to accommodations to game drives.
Highlights of the trip include game drives through the Serengeti, exploring the Ngongoro Crater, the stay at Nyota luxury tents which was phenomenal, the hot air balloon operated by Serengeti Hot Air Balloon tours and most of all our incredible guide/driver Freddie. Freddie made sure my wife and I were safe, comfortable, and most importantly having fun! I would highly recommend requesting Freddie if you’re booking a trip with Lion King.
Two areas for improvement:
1/ The stay at Eileen’s Tree House was a step down from the other accommodations in terms of quality of room, food and service.
2/ I believe there is an opportunity to increase education within the tour. While our guide was great at answering questions, he rightfully needed to stay focused on driving (and finding animals!), thus couldn't proactively give us info about the various parks, culture, history, animals, etc. Finding a way to weave more education into these tours would be a great way to improve!

Excellent, don't hesitate to book with Lion King!
From the outset the communication channels were superb - very fast responses to emails, and detailed information was provided. The itinerary was tailored to our requirements. The pick-up by drivers was timely. Freddie was our tour driver. He was amazing. Kept us informed of the daily diary, and excellent at finding the big (and small!) cats. Asked us what we wanted to see, and he definitely delivered on that! Would recommend Freddie for your driver. The arrangements for the balloon ride were seamless - highly recommended. We booked mid-range accommodation as my 85 yr old mum was with us and she wasn't up for camping. Mid-range was luxury for us as we are used to camping holidays. All staff at the hotels/permanent camps were amazing, food was great, and plentiful, lots of variety. Nothing too much trouble. We were very happy with our trip!

Amazing 8 dayAmazing safari experience with Lion King and Gamma Saad.. Memories for a lifetime.
My wife and I chose Lion King Adventures after reviewing options online. Caroline and Florida were very helpful with planning our itinerary and accommodation. We were delighted with the location, variety, and standard of accomodation, the service, and the meals provided..
Our 8 day Safari took us to Tarangiri and Lake Manyara NP's, Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area, Serengeti NP, (south, central, and north) and the Mara River. The competance of the safari guide is essential to the enjoyment of the adventure.
The guide assigned to us, Gamma Saad, was excellent and very experienced.
He was equally knowledgeable about both the wildlife and birds, and able to communicate this to us. He had an uncanny ability to spot wildlife that was camouflaged for us! We saw the Big Five and much more! Gamma was able to track down some of the more illusive animals including leopard and cheetah. Also his uncanny ability and perseverance enabled us to view the spectacle of Wildebeest and Zebra crossing the Mara River. What an amazing sight!
Overall the scenery and wildlife we saw on our safari was awesome. So many photos and memories for a lifetime.

Unforgettable 14-day Tanzania safari and Zanzibar tour
Our 14-day Lion King Adventure was nothing short of extraordinary! The journey took us through Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Central Serengeti, and finally to the Northern Serengeti, where we witnessed the most spectacular highlight of the trip – the Great Migration. Seeing the wildebeest cross the Mara River was an experience we will never forget. The sheer volume of animals, the intensity of the crossing, and the raw beauty of nature left us speechless.Our guide and driver, Ozzy, was incredible. His deep knowledge of the wildlife and the landscape made every moment educational and thrilling. He ensured we got the best views of the animals, including the Big Five, as well as some truly remarkable sightings of leopards and cheetahs. Ozzy answered every question with expertise and enthusiasm, which made the entire trip even more enjoyable. The Land Cruiser was comfortable and reliable, even as we covered over 2,000 kilometers of rugged terrain.Lion King Adventures provided impeccable door-to-door service, from picking us up at Kilimanjaro Airport to dropping us off at the end of our trip in Zanzibar. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and organization were flawless. If you're looking for a safari adventure, I highly recommend Lion King Adventures – this was the experience of a lifetime!

Juma was awesome and always catered to our needs
This was the best trip/adventure I've been on. The experience of a safari was unique and unlike anything I've done before. Everything was provided (food, transportation, hotel, etc). We had a group of 5 all of us were well taken care of. Juma was our tour guide, and he was very knowledgeable and made sure all our needs were met. Would definitely recommend! An Incredible Experience
From the planning process to the actual safari itself, the entire team was absolutely incredible. They are very flexible with diet needs, trip planning, etc. Tell them what you want, and they will have it done (within reason). We went for the great migration and were lucky to see a river crossing. Our guide was fantastic and we loved our experience so much, that we are actually going back again for the calving season with Lion King! You cant go wrong!

Great safari company that took care of all details
We used Lion King Safari for our trip to Tanzania in September 2024. Our goals were to see wildlife on a Safari. The booking process was very easy as Maria was able to build us a custom itinerary based on the amount of time we were going to be able to spend in Tanzania. Before our arrival Nickson was able to help us with logistics such as airport transportation and providing us with details on the visa we would need to enter Tanzania. Upon arrival Tumi was there to pick us up and take us to our hotel. The next 8 days we had a great time with our guide Haruni who drove us all across the country to see wildlife, taking the time to explain some of the background behind the animals we were seeing. Haruni knew the roads very well and was able to find many animals for us including plenty of giraffes, lions, zebras, a wildebeest crossing, and we even got to see a cheetah in the Serengeti. Lion king took care of all our lodging and food and we were very happy with the outcome as every place we stayed was amazing and we loved the food. This was the best trip I have ever done!

Incredible & unforgettable experience.
We had an amazing time on our 5 day safari with Lion King Safaris in Tanzania!
We booked it as part of our honeymoon and so wanted the trip to be memorable. Lion king safaris did not disappoint! The company was well organised and communicated well with us prior to the trip, including highlighting key information we needed to know.
Our driver & guide, Laizer, was fantastic—super friendly and knew so much about all the animals. He had incredible vision & experience to know where the animals were and to spot them!
We felt safe the whole time and learned so much. Seeing the Big Five was such a highlight, and Laizer really made the experience special from start to finish. We would also like to mention Robert, who was also very friendly & welcoming, who picked us up from the airport on day 1 and took us to a fascinating cultural museum/art gallery.
We would highly recommend booking a safari with Lion King Safari's for a very well organised & expert tour.

Exceeded our expectations!
We recently returned from an extraordinary 8-Day safari tour with Lion Kings Adventure, and we're still pinching ourselves! Our private package tour exceeded expectations, thanks to our exceptional driver and guide, David.
From the moment we arrived at Kilimanjaro airport, we were ensured a seamless experience with all the different logistical arrangement, organized by Rose. We relaxed at a lovely lodge overlooking Mt. Meru before embarking on our adventure. Our journey took us through Tarangire National Park, Central and Northern Serengeti National Park, and finally, Manyara Lake National Park. The tent accommodation lodges were impressive, offering warm hospitality and qualities.
Each destination offered new excitement and experiences, and David's expertise made all the difference. For example, in North Serengeti, he accurately positioned our jeep directly in-front of a majestic herd of wildebeest crossing the Mara River. The sight was indeed explosive! On one of the evenings, we marvelled at breathtaking sunsets over the Central Serengeti's flat, dry bushland. Another highlight was visiting the Masai village, where David facilitated a fascinating cultural exchange. His deep experiences brought us to spot over 30 different wildlife across the various on-route game drives. David's exceptional driving skills navigated dusty, sun-baked roads with ease.
We noticed that there were indeed great many travel agencies offering safari expeditions. But having spent 8 days with David, we can't thank him enough for making our Tanzanian safari experience truly magical. Hence, Lion Kings Adventure and David come highly recommended!
