A dream come true
We are Angie (Puerto Rico) and Antonio (Spain) we live in the United States. We did an exhaustive research on the best safari companies in Tanzania for our vacation, finally we decided for Lion King Adventures and we couldn’t be happier with our decision. The experience was amazing!! They are very profesional and always working to make the experience as your personal choice. They pick you up at the airport, and since the first minute they care of every detail. We made the private safari and we felt spoiled 24 hours with Lion King. The transportation, the hotels, the game drives, everything was amazing, but our guide Osi ( Oswaldo ) made the difference !! He worked very hard and with all the passion of someone who loves his work to give us the best experience. we had the best encounters with the BIG FIVES, we saw a dozen Lions, dozens of elephants and giraffes, buffalos, hippos, and the most difficult: 3 leopards, and a couple of cheetahs right next to us. This Osi is amazing ! He can see an animal from kilometers. Always with a smile, making us smile every minute , extremely profesional and friendly. We could not have had this experience without him. What a great person and what a profesional and experienced guide ! We made a good friend and we’ll keep him in our hearts. We are planing to go back next year and we will definitely book our safari again with Lion King Adventure.100% recommended. A fabulous experience from the Lion King Adventures team.
One of the most important things that you have to know about them is that they offer an excellent service, you will not be disappointed.
Nick and Pendo helped a lot in building the itinerary at the beginning and arranged everything before the start of the Safari. They helped us in making the right choices for the lodges and adapted the schedule to our needs. Most of the companies are not so flexbile and they work on the "take it or leave it principle" whereas Lion King really wanted to listen and fulfill our needs. Great job!
Once we had that sorted out and we started the Safari, Abu (our guide) took the lead and he was as fantastic as Nick and Pendo. Again, very flexible, knowledgeable, he told us tons of stories about animals, safari or the history of Tanzania, really a joy to talk to him. He helped us with spotting the animals or the birds as well which made our life way easier. This guy was awesome!
As we took also a 1 day hike on Kilimanjaro we had the opportunity to meet with Saladin (our mountain guide and for sure our lead for the Kili trip) and again, a great person. Very knowledgeable, he shared tons of info about the mountain, how to climb Kili and about flora and fauna, we learned so much from him as well.
Overall these people are incredible! They try to satisfy all your requirements while keeping a good margin for them as well, the guides are giving 200% in sharing the knowledge and making sure you feel great during the journey from every aspect from driving, guiding to adapting the schedule when it's needed and always being flexible.
I have rarely had such a good and pro service from a company and I have rarely seen so many dedicated people in one place. Congrats to James, the owner of the company, to whom we gave one advice:Keep these people together!
Lastly:
- the car is well-equipped for the Safari and comfortable
- the food offered by Lion King during the safari is more than sandwiches, you get real hot meals, coffee, tea, water, beer
- the lodges have a good to excellent standard of service and certainly above what I did see in other places in Tanzania
- Abu washed the car almost every day, it was so spotless. We did not ask for it, but we were impressed by the fact that he did this.
- The only suggestion that I would make is to offer the possibility to have also 1 meal with local Tanzanian food (the food we got during the trip was very good and tasty but mostly European/US food and I was very curious to eat some Tanzanian food as well)
- there is little that I can say more, just use this company to have a wonderful time while in Tanzania, I for sure will come back to do a Kilimanjaro trek with them.

Best operator + best guide = once in a lifetime experience!
We feel blessed that we had the chance to experience our very first Safari with Lion King Adventures. While we don’t have reference points as first safari goers, we had very high expectation - and they were exceeded in every single dimension. We requested a proposal through safaribookings.com. The response time was very fast and we communicated via both email and whatsapp. They took care of all our requirements but also guided us with their great experience on what to add, amend or avoid. We came up with a very tailor-made, 8-day itinerary that we were so much looking forward to. What is more, the pre-departure information they sent us was invaluable. On our arrival at Arusha Airport, our guide for the next 8 days, Gilbert, was already awaiting us warm-heartedly. The car (Landcruiser) was very clean, comfortable and had tons of charging points for all sorts of gadgets. It had a fridge and all drinks were included (even two bottles of personalized wine).
Before we headed to Tarangire, we met the company owner James, which was very nice both to learn more about company’s history, but also to be ensured that the owner itself makes sure everything is running smoothly. During our game-drives in Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara, Gilbert taught us so much about Flora and Fauna, thanks to his wide knowledge. Besides that, he is fun to spend hours in a car with and has good empathy. This also allows him to have a great balance in when to take initiative and when to follow the guests’ desires. For the longer transfers between parks, he did a great job in making them diverting by visiting small villages or other hidden gems that were close-by. Gilbert is not only a very knowledgeable guide and keen driver, but most importantly an incredibly kind human being.
The Safari was concluded with another talk with the company owner James, during which he was craving for feedback on they they can improve further. Great vibe! We can highly recommend booking with Lion King Adventures and wish James and his company all the best!

Safari experience that went beyhond expectations
Deciding to travel to Africa is never an easy decision to make, especially for european foreigners. While I have always wanted to discover African history, culture and stunning landscapes. The risk of diseases, robbery or violent agression stories between men have kept me away of travelling there.
When I finally make my mind to travel over there I had one single priority on my agenda : security.
We decided to fly from Paris to Tanzania and do a safari.
After reading great client reviews on tripadvisor regarding the lion king adventures company.
I decided to contact them.
First I got in touch with Nilson, a lion king representative, he decided to set up a call with me to clearly understand my needs.
I am a banker and as such very much used to deal with customers.
Nilson reassured me and his politeness and comprehensive approach of my expectations, which alos surprised me. He was showing up a very professionnal side for the lion king adventure company.
Then I got in touch as well with Pendo, which I have to say was very professionnal too.
While I was very busy at work and not very focus on planning the trip. She helped me by answering clearly and remaining available each time I ask her questions.
Thank you both for your professionnal service, that made us confortable and reassure us to choose to work with the Lion king adventure.
When we arrived in Tanzania for our 6 days trip, we were welcomed by our guide and driver.
After reading client reviews, I noticed that the name of a french and english speaking guide was mentionned several times, his name was Khalifa.
I asked Nilson if it was possible to have Khalifa as guide.
A safari can be perceived as an expensive travel and if you decide to gor for it you want the best.
We had a 6 days safaris trip and thanks to Kalhifa, the king of the safari guides and the calm, polite and safe driver, Bright, we will never forget our Safari.
Khalifa knowledge of his country, customs, people and culture is impressive. But his knowledge of all local animals and plants is even more astonishing.
We learned much more than expected and I must admit I have been impressed by tanzanian bio diversity and stories.
I cannot recommend enough Khalifa as a guide.
Thanks to Khalifa incredible vision in the savanah, we are forunate enough to see the rare 6 during our short trip ( Lion, Leopard, Guepard, Rhino, Elephant and Hippo).
We realised this was not an easy to see them all especially when discussing with other tourist travelling witv others guides.
I also want to thank Bright for his endurance and kindness, driving in Tanzania is not something you should apprehend it because of the difficult roads.
Bright made it safe and secure thanks to his endurance and safe driving skills.
Overall we especially want to thank both Bright and Khalifa for making sure we saw the best side of Tanzania.
They both are the pride of Tanzania.
I was also delighted to share feedback with the lion kind adventures manager James at the end of the safari.
This again also the great professionalism of the company.
No doubt that thanks to these members the lion king adventure will continue to live long and make the travellers dreams become a reality !

What to say?! We had a fabulous experience thanks to Lion King Adventures!
We approached this operator with a very precise idea of the tour we wanted. Pendo, our interlocutor, was very attentive to our desires and offered us an itinerary to respect our wishes as faithfully as possible (unlike other operators which offered us standard and unchanging itineraries). We exchanged many emails and together finalized our project. Pendo has always been very responsive and has answered all of our questions and fears.

On site, we were greeted by Khalifa our driver-guide. He made our trip amazing and memorable. Khalifa is considerate, passionate and fascinating, exceptionally kind and always in a good mood. He knew how to transmit to us his love for wild animals but also for his culture and his country. He is a well of knowledge and even goes so far as to do research when he does not know the answer to one of our very many questions. Without him our safari would not have been the same at all; he helped make it exceptional. Words fail us to express our gratitude to him.

Amazing tour, amazing people
We did Tarangire, Ngorongoro, and Lake Manyara, with added options of a Kilimanjaro day hike and African Amini experience. Pendo was wonderfully helpful organizing everything thing and keeping our heads on straight planning. Musa was absolutely wonderful - a joy to work with, well-spoken, very knowledgeable, and an eagle eye at spotting animals we were looking for that we easily would have missed. He even got us right next to some feeding lions! Saladin was an enthusiastic mountain guide. We had an absolutely amazing worry-free trip.

So I had several things I was stressed about for a trip this far from home. You may be worried about safety, paying up front, the quality of your guide, communication, accommodations, transportation and everything else.
I can tell you all you really need to worry about is picking your activities and being at breakfast on time. That is it.

Once in a lifetime trip with the best and customer focused operator.
Words can not describe how amazing this 11 day trip was for us. From day one contacting Lion King Adventures, to hearing back from Pendo on the details, there is not one thing that wasn't perfect and beyond any expectations we had. When we landed in Mt. Kilimanjaro the driver was waiting for us. The next morning we started our safari with our guide Good Luck, who turned out to be a very knowledgeable and compassionate person. We shared a memorable five days with him seeing some of the most beautiful and diverse landscapes in Africa, not to mention we saw the big five and so many more animals. I can not say how grateful we were to have picked this operator and had Good Luck for our trip! All the lodges we stayed at were fantastic and the food was very good! The people of Africa are amazing and who made us feel so welcome and we shared many stories with them all. Once the safari was over, after meeting with the owner at the airport for feedback, we flew to Zanzibar and were once again taken care of every step of the way, thanks to Lion King Adventures. To whomever is reading this, you need to look no further for an operator to book your safari, Lion King Adventures will give you a trip of a lifetime like they did for us. Once in a life time trip made easy by Ozzie and Lion King Adventures
From start to finish, Lion King Adventures exceeded our expectations. Pendo was incredible and so responsive as she helped to build us a truly perfect itinerary. Once we arrived in Tanzania, Ozzie - our AMAZING guide - was the person who really made this a trip of a lifetime. Everywhere we stopped people told us how lucky we were to have him, and they were right!! Ozzie was incredible in answering our questions, sharing animal facts, and finding rare animal sightings throughout each park. He was incredible beyond words and so knowledgeable! Lion King was head and shoulders above the rest in every regard. I can not recommend them (and Ozzie!!!) enough!! My husband and I will definitely be back to Tanzania with Lion King and Ozzie hopefully very soon!
