Excelent Service and amazing guide
The organization of the trip including the communication upfront was excellent and the team was super helpful.
Our tour guide was Musa and he made our trip unforgettable. Ask for him as your guide. He speaks German and English. He has a super good knowledge about the places, animals and everthing around and it is fun to go with him.
We visited 5 national parks in 6 days and Musa made all days amazing and tried to find with his experiance all the animals we wanted to see.
Serengeti including a night or 2 there is a must.
We enjoyed every minute and also the recommended hotels from lion king (mid priced) were all clean with friendly personal and good food. Highly recommended. Not loud beside the wilderness animals...and that's why you book a accommodation in serengeti

Excellent
We just returned from a 11 day safari and beach with Lion King adventures. From booking our trip on safaribookings, we were taken care of very well. Pendo from Lion King Adventures was prompt in her communication and updated us with new travel changes and airline and country travel requirements due to the pandemic. Once we got to Tanzania, we were picked up by the arranged driver and taken to our first accommodation. We really enjoyed staying at Arusha Travel Lodge and the next morning was picked up by our awesome safari guide, Richard. Richard was so knowledgeable about the animals and he had an eye of a hawk. He was able to spot the animals from so far away. He knew exactly where to go to see the animals. He seemed to be giving directions to other guides around the park who were probably not as experienced. We saw all the big five animals and more. Tanzania exceeded our expectations.
I was worried about encountering lot of insects but there seemed to be less than what we encounter back at home and aside from a couple of mosquito bites and few tsetse flies, we had no issues. Tanzania has done so well in managing the coronavirus, we felt like it did not exist there.
When the hotel we initially booked in Zanzibar was closed for part of our stay, Lion King upgraded us to a 5 star hotel with no charge. We really appreciated that.
I only have fond memories and good things to say about this tour operator.

Best trip and memory of my life
You cannot go wrong by choosing Lion King Adventure Safari company
We had an amazing one week trip
We arrived to Kilimanjaro airport, where our guide picked up us, then went to Lake Manyara at Maramboi, then went to Serengeti passing by Ngorongoro conservation area and spent 3 nights there at KubuKubu. We did flying safari with balloon which was amazing as well, and then spent two nights at Kilimamoja
Everything was well organised, and we saw so many animals
James the owner is passionate about his job and Halifa our guide was great and spoke perfectly French, English, and Swahili
He was good to find the animals, was a good driver and was able to answer all of our questions perfectly and was super patient
We were very happy and a an amazing time
Also our itinerary was perfect and the lodges were wonderful
Nothing wrong to say, you can only be happy by choosing them
We went there end of April during rain season but no problem about that and no rain at all !
And they are also very respectful about nature

From start to finish the tour was amazing and well thought out .
They even changed our itinerary as they thought we would see more animals at the second recommend park .
We only done 2 days but we literally saw everything we came to see .
The highlight though was our guide Alex , Alex has 30 years experience doing safaris and his wealth of knowledge helped us enjoy the trip even more so .
120 percent would recommend

A wonderful trip of a lifetime
Our safari with Lion King was just perfect right from the start until the end. We couldn't have imagined a better guide than our guide Oswald - he seemed to always know where the animals were and did everything to make our experience unforgettable. We saw the Big Five and much more during our five days. Lion King is an extremely professional company with vast experience and top vehicles. Communication with them was effortless and fast throughout the whole booking process. We had to do COVID-19 tests in Karatu before flying back home, but our amazing contact person Pendo at Lion King took care of everything and we didn't need to stress about anything. I would recommend Lion King to anybody hoping to have an experience of a lifetime as we did. Thank you Lion King!

Very well organized!
We were a group of 4 and were planning our trip to Tanzania for a couple of month in advance. We found 3 Safari trip vendors, which we were considering and comparing. The Lion Kind Adventures was selected pretty fast as a final vendor to be booked and for us seemed to be the best choice!
And we were completely satisfied with the services provided! Especially during the pre-trip planning. Pendo (our manager) was very professional and she helped us with very single question we asked. She was also recommending the best options (as were thinking to take less days) and eventually 5 day safari (instead of 4) is definitely the best time frame for such trip if you wish to see 3 main parks!
Gilbert - our guide was very friendly! What i like the most is that he was driving very safely!

Awesome experience!
Going on this trip was one of the best decisions i ever made =) everything was great - from the email-correspondence with the manager before the trip, to the very end of the safari. We enjoyed the ccommodations and routes (we've been to lake Manyara, Ngorongoro conservation area and Serengeti) a lot; and special thanks to Gilbert, the guide, for being super welcoming, friendly and professional.
Definitely recommend going on a safari at least once, it's worth it)

Tarangire, Manyara, Ngorongoro private safari
We organised a private tour to three parks through Lion King and were very much satisfied. First, they were very responsive in helpful as we organised the trip - offering us a number of options and quickly adapting when our flights changed at relatively short notice. They were also excellent in their communication, providing a detailed itinerary and info on accomodation, transport, F&B and practicalities. As for the safari itself, we were impressed with the quality of the accomodation, the vehicle, and service. Our guide - Gilbert - was thoroughly polite and professional, providing an excellent service as well as being very knowledgeable about the parks, animals, and all sorts of other questions that we had. Overall, an excellent trip and a safari operator that I would happily recommend.

Magical experience, an abundance of animals and perfect guide and accommodations!
We have just returned from a trip of a lifetime with Lion King. Our guide and driver "Goodluck" lived up to his name and use this experience and skills to get us up close and personal with 64 lions, 2 Leopards, 1 Cheetah and countless Elephants, Baboons, Zebras, Giraffes, Jackals, Hyenas, Warthogs and game. We upgraded our accommodations in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater which was a wise move as we have several night of luxury in the wild with specular views. One of our party had stomach issues and Pendo and Goodluck leapt into acton providing medicine and world class care. Overall if you are going to take this one in a life time adventure make sure you do it in style with Lion King and request Goodluck as your guide!

Tanzania Beckons
When it's minus four degrees in Amsterdam, Tanzania beckons.
We hopped on the plane to JRO (Kilimanjaro International Airport), and got picked up by our guide Oswald, the Great, the Knowledgable. For the following 8 days he displayed expansive knowledge of Tanzania's history, it's game-life, about the reserves, the Masai and so on. A great and funny conversationalist and with binoculars for eyes, helping us to spot even the rarest of animals-- due to these super-eyes we've managed to see five black rhino's in the Ngorongro Crater and several cheeta's (some even during a prowl or hunt). Oswald also proposed alternative lunch spots, during our safari days. We managed to eat in the 4x4 jeep while being surrounded by a large family of elephants in the Serengeti -- a sight we will never forget--. Thanks to him we've seen all the animals we expected and much more, he explained us about the symbiotic relation between vultures and simba's (Swahili for lion) and showed us animals that were wounded, rejected by their mates and much more. Overal a tremendous, invigorating and inspiring journey, that was taken care of from the moment we landed to the minute we left mainland Tanzania for Zanzibar.
The accommodations that were arranged by Lion King Adventures were nothing but splendid. Staff was welcoming, respectful and aware of COVID protocol. Highlights were our stay at Maraboi Tented Lodge, with a wonderful floor manager and an amazing bed-side view of lake Manyara. Zebra's, wildebeests, giraffe's, warthogs and several monkeys walk the ground, thus doubling as an luxury stay and safari in one.
Lake Manyara Kilimamoja Lodge, at the end of our trip, had the best room by far! And Ole Serai Luxury Camp in south Serengeti, had some Masai as employee's escorting you from you room to the restaurant and back. A truly unique experience, having a Masai guard whilst dining under the Serengeti night sky.
Another recommendation would be staying a day or two, after landing in Kilamanjaro, at River Trees Country Inn, relatively cheap, beautiful landscaped gardens, a river, the cutest colobus monkeys, that do their rounds between 17:00 till 19:30 and a great place to get climatized and ready for the safari journey.
Safari means being in the car a lot. We had a great 4x4 jeep, where lunch and beverages were taken care off. The car broke down two times, which isn't unheard of seeing the sometimes rocky terrain one needs to traverse (it's a safari after all) but Oswald was knowledgable, not only of the environment and the country, but also of car-mechanics. We've always felts save and in good hands.
Lastly, I would like to compliment the staff (Pendo!) of the Lion King Adventures. After forgetting my iPad at one of the lodges, they managed to retrieve the iPad and handed it over personally when we returned to Arusha at the end of our trip. In comparison to other (European) companies, we felt Lion King Adventures gave us BY FAR the best BANG for our BUCK. Plus we would definitely recommend everyone to consider investing in the more local companies of Tanzania such as Lion King, as a large part of the Tanzanian economy is reliant on the safari tourism.
In the end we spent around 2800 dollar (with all COVID discounts) per person for 8 days of full service (dinner excluded), where we had beautiful rooms every night, the best service, and have been able to visit three national parks and a conservation area (Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongro Conservation Area & Crater and Lake Manyara). The only thing we would do differently is attempt to stay a day or two longer in certain parks, making the entire trip more relaxed (packing and unpacking every day can be tough) -- our personal preference would be staying extra days in the Ngorongro Conservation Area, as it has the most diversity of all the places we've been --in it's overall landscape, flora and fauna--.
In short, just book it. You won't regret it.
