Best trip of my life
We had the most mind blowing experience with Gorillas and lions and leopards and elephants, at all times we felt safe and we felt take care of. The guide was informative and wise and we felt taken care of every single step of the way. I have zero complaints, they were amazing :D

white water rafting
My team and I started out on an early sartuday morning for one of our bucket list items *water rafting* and Gorilla tours were prompt with time. Caroline Amutuhaire, the bubbly lady we went with is an amazing person.yet proffesional and knowledgeable, het enthusiasim rubs off to everyone. Because of her company, the journey from Kampala to Jinja seemed so short; she filled us in on different stories, giving insight into different potential gate away places. Although non of my team members is a birder, I felt like I had know birds on the Nile and butterflies for a long time. The guide fussed about our comfort and very resourceful on planning for different future activities!!
My team
My team was a first time rafting team and non of us could swim, the operator put our fears to rest. She assured us of safety and fun and sure enough it was a thrilling day for us. The soreness we got from rowing the rafting was a good check of fitness
Trip of a lifetime
I am so relieved I chose Gorilla Link Tours to help me plan and organise my trip! We originally were looking at Gorilla tracking in Rwanda but the week we were intending to pay for our tour the gorilla permits went up in price ($750 to $1500)! Luckily Caroline at Gorilla Link Tours had a solution right away. Instead of seeing the gorillas in Rwanda we changed destinations and did a 8 day tour in Uganda instead. Turns out we ended up liking the itinerary for Uganda more than we did Rwanda (Uganda is an absolutely incredible country). Caroline made everything so easy, from arranging a tour in our budget, to walking us through how to go about payment. All emails were responded to so quickly which just added to the simplicity of booking.
Once we landed in Uganda, everything ran so smoothly, we had the most amazing tour guide who always had an answer to all our questions. All the accommodations we stayed at were great, and the activities planned each day exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend choosing Gorilla Link Tours to help you organise your trip :)

Excellent!
Excellent company to use for organising your safari to Uganda and surrounding African countries.
First class service and organisation. Very reliable and trustworthy which is critical when you're spending a significant sum of money with a local business who you've no previous experience with.
Carol who owns the company provides a very personalised and prompt service and can tailor an itinerary to meet your requirements and budget.
We thoroughly enjoyed our two week safari, including gorilla and chimp trekking. It ran very smoothly and Carol suggested some great lodges, which she personally inspects on a regular basis to ensure high standards.
Mike our guide/driver was professional and knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. We felt comfortable and safe at all times.
Uganda is an amazing country to visit and I can highly recommend Gorilla Link Tours to provide you with the perfect safari.

Fantastic personal service planning and communication resulting in an amazing Uganda holiday.
Carol at Gorilla link tours communicated with us on a daily basis via email to develop our personal holiday plan for an amazing holiday . We were met in person at the airport by Carol and introduced to our friendly ,knowledgeable guide,Bob, who accompanied us for 10 days , many many thanks Bob.All the 5 lodges we stayed at were excellent with good food and friendly staff .Bob held all our paperwork for the whole tour , all we had to do was sit back and enjoy the amazing sites .highlights were the chimp and Gorilla tracking and as Bob was local to the area we were very well looked after and I’m sure we had special treatment as a result. At the end of our tour Carol once again met us at an airport hotel to gain personal feedback on our experience print to our flight home a very nice touch which was much appreciated .
I would highly recommend Carol and her wonderful team.

Carol organised a trip of a life time that exceeded our expectations- awesome
From the first moment that we contacted Carol, she impressed us, her communication which was spot on, a lot of other companies can learn from her professional approach. She listened to what we were looking for and suggested a fabulous itinerary, which went above and beyond that suggested by the big UK companies and for a much fairer price, and for us we hoped for any $ we paid for our trip would go to Uganda.
From the moment we landed in Uganda we were looked after and made to feel special and looked after, from the welcome and flowers on our dinner table on our first night to the fabulous guide Richard, with whom we spent 9 days. Richard, our guide was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, good company and informative, he guided and looked after us keen to ensure that the trip met our expectations, it exceeded them! Carol’s attention to detail was evident, my husband loves birds and Richard guides bird safaris so was able to point out and provide information on all the birds we saw of which they are over 600 species in Uganda. I can’t tell you how wonderful it was to see not only the big 5 at close quarters, but the Uganda Cob, Water Butt, wart hog, Hippo, Rhino and so many more. The chimp trekking was magical, we were lucky as a mum and baby, came down from the tree and sat with us for a few minutes almost showing off her baby, all the more special as it was Mother’s Day. The gorilla trekking was breath taking and it felt a real privilege to spend time with them in Kibale Impenetrable Forest. The animal high lights, were spotting two lionesses on the hunt on a night safari, being woken at 5.15 by an elephant snoring outside our lodge, then a stand off between a lion and buffalo, the chimps and gorillas, in fact there were too many.
The lodges we stayed in were all very different in character which added to the trip, in each the staff bent over themselves to make you feel welcome, the food on offer was always delicious and varied, the beds comfortable always 5*.
The Ugandan people without exception were friendly and welcoming and as interested in us as we were in them, the majority of Ugandans are leading very very simple lives, that we westerners were living at least 150 years ago and we lead very different lives that neither can comprehend, yet still they smiled and waved welcoming us.
Ugandan scenery is stunning, varying from lush green to savanna and everything in between and the trip gorilla link had organised ensured we got to see all the beautiful gems along the way.
Carol organised a fabulous tour for us and if we go back to Uganda I’d have no hesitation to ask Carol to look after us, as that’s exactly what she did. 10* from us.

New standard of excellence for safari's
There were many tour company's to chose from but after reviewing many we chose Gorilla Links Tours . We are glad we did.
We asked Carolyn the owner/ operator of Gorilla Link Tours to design a safari like no other.
We decided on Murchison Falls National Park.
She took up the challenge and besides the normal morning and afternoon safari's that are expected, she provided two night safari's where a park ranger joined our guide as we ventured out in the evening. As night approached we saw lions leaving there cubs as they set out to hunt. We saw a female lion who just lost a cub to a Cape Buffalo and was mourning, eventually picking up the cub and carrying it to be buried. We saw a mother with 3 cubs feeding, as she laid on the ground. Even our guide had never seen this before.
I'm not saying you will see what we saw, but you will for sure see things over and above the norm. Carolyn arranged for a small "private"boat to tour the Nile river so we avoided the crowds of the big boats and got in close to shore to maximize our viewing experience. And surprisingly all the extra were reasonably priced. Carolyn did so many others things for us at no cost.
A wonderful personality to deal with. You won't regret using Gorilla Link Tours. Ask her to get Richard for your guide. He is outstanding and will bring your safari to a new level. Ask for him!!! You again won't regret it. He makes the unexpected happen. Great guy.
We also heard huge positives on the Gurilla tours from others we met that used Gorilla Links Tours. Again, I'd ask her to get Richard. His name is now out there so book him early. Seems everyone we spoke to had outstanding experiences and satisfaction with Gorilla Links as we did.

Caroline is the real Pearl of Africa and our guide Bob is a real gem as well. Amazing experience!
Caroline and Gorilla Link Tours were recommended to me by a colleague I worked with in the Uganda military, so I expected them to be good; however, my experience exceeded my wildest expectations! Caroline answered all my questions promptly and efficiently in emails. She organized the perfect personal 8 day safari for my daughter and myself. She adjusted the tour as some of the days and times changed last minute due to my work schedule. Our guide, Bob, was phenomenal. He was an excellent driver, punctual, professional, knowledgeable, kind, passionate about his country and it's wildlife, and adjusted to our changes in energy and plans. He got us the best park rangers and porters and gorilla family to follow. He also has a passion for wildlife, growing up in the region, and with a park ranger as a father. I lost my passport and Caroline jumped into action to arrange for a trip to the embassy and then back on safari. When Caroline met us, we became instant friends. Her laugh is infectious. She is so knowledgeable, warm and passionate. She truly cared that we had a good time and checked in daily with Bob about our experience and about any adjustments needed. We would not change a thing! We loved every minute of the ride in the Land Cruiser! We will be back for a second time for sure! Uganda, the land and it's people have an energy that I have not felt anywhere else in the world. The people are friendly, the children are beautiful and have the best smiles, and the scenery is breathtaking. Seeing all the animals....the big 5 as they say was amazing. We did the medium priced hotels and found them all wonderful and the food was good as well. Thank you Caroline and Bob, we are very grateful for the amazing time we had. We will keep in touch and definitely will be back.
