Serious, responsible, executive.
Upon arrival in Nairobi, we were met by a company representative and our tour began.
Transfer to the hotel. The next morning we were met by our guide and we went to the Masai Mara reserve.
The tour guide was excellent. He tried to show us interesting places, made stops for photo sessions, thanks to which we got a huge number of excellent photos from a very interesting angle.
Visit to the Maasai village. We were impressed by the Maasai culture.
Trips to many interesting places. Visiting the place where animals cross the Mara River during the annual animal migration. Visit to the Crescent Island game reserve on Lake Naivashi, where the film The Lion King was filmed.
Visit Amboseli and Tsavo parks. In Tsavo there was a stop at a campsite overlooking Mount Kilimanjaro. Visit Mzima springs, where underground waters from Mount Kilimanjaro form a wonderful lake. Transfer to Mombasa with a stop at the hotel. This was the final stop before the end of the journey with a stop at the papillon lagut beach hotel.
About the latter, I would like to note that not at all shy monkeys live there. So one of the inhabitants begged for a piece of coconut, but having eaten it and not being satisfied, she took away the whole nut and proudly climbed onto a palm tree where she ate it.
Our trip was as described. The company did everything to make our trip comfortable and safe. Our stops were in places saturated with a special African flavor, not devoid of amenities. Kenyans are very friendly.
My rating is 5 out of 5.

Amazing safari and beach holiday
We loved it and would highly recommend it. The communication from Classic Journeys was brilliant and Charles patiently answered all my questions and added an extra night on to the itinerary for us. Our guide, Sameer, was very knowledgeable, friendly and a great tour guide. When we told him we were interested in birds as well, ensured we saw many birds. He was great at identifying them including the LBJs. The camps were all great, especially the ones in the Mara and Amboseli. We are vegan and were well catered for everywhere, especially in the Maasai Mara where the chef would come out every night to chat to us about our meals. We can't wait to go back and will definitely use Classic Journeys again as they were excellent and very good value for money.

Classic Journeys Africa created an exceptional safari experience that exceeded all expectations!
Classic Journeys Africa perfectly arranged our safari in luxury lodges and tented camps near Ngorongoro Crater, in Serengeti and Masai Mara, traveling in a comfortable safari vehicle.
Our guides were amazing and they seemed to have a sixth sense about where to find the lions who just took down a buffalo, cheetahs on the prowl, elephants with their young, wildebeest and zebras migrating through the river, ostriches (and lions) mating! Maji in Tanzania, a true expert who clearly loves his job and was extremely knowledgeable about the animals and the culture. Moses in Kenya who was accommodating and discovered some incredible encounters with animals and Chris in Nairobi who made sure that everything was organized including Covid testing!
Our accommodations - a combination of lodges and tented camps were absolutely 5-star. Arusha Coffee Lodge - beautiful park like setting, Oldeani Mountain Lodge near Ngorongoro - luxury, pool, wonderful staff!, Ole Serai Camp in Serengeti - were we felt like Hemingway and Robert Redford, and Entim Camp in Masai Mara - the location at the bend of the Mara river was incredible and the chef - OMG! he was creative, inventive and came up with the most delicious menu this side of ?
We can highly recommend this safari itinerary and can't make enough positive statements about Classic Journeys Africa.

Picking a company from the internet is tricky.luckily Classic journeys are Efficient and effective
Having lived in East Africa when we did our own independent safaris I was concerned that going on organised one would be a let down. It was not. Definitely the best holiday ever.
Our party was arriving from two different destinations both of which were efficiently met and taken to our first hotel.
The next day Good Luck met us and told us the program. There were one or two items which we were not happy with but he Phoned the office and the tour Was rearranged very quickly. I was impressed.
At every stage Good Luck was sensitive to our particular desires even when they weren’t particularly addressed to him.
At one point I just remarked to the others I didn’t like being with all the other vehicles.
Good luck must’ve heard and he took us off the beaten track to watch a leopard in a tree. We were the only people there.
We were interest In the birds But not very knowledgeable.
Good Luck was well prepared with a very good bird book , better than ours, And some excellent binoculars which he would lend us. I think we all expanded our knowledge.
The rains had been late so some of the tracks were very muddy but I had complete trust in Good Luck’s driving skills to get us through. All part of the adventure.
The company had chosen the hotels well . I wish we could have stayed longer in the tents in the Serengeti. That was my favourite place.
If we are ever able to go back I will certainly go with classic tours and specifically ask for Good Luck to be our guide.

Once in a lifetime trip of my dreams
This trip has been something we had spoken about as a family for a long time. We searched so many different tour providers and finally decided on Classic Journeys.
From the moment we landed and met Goodluck our guide I knew we had made the right decision.
The tour surpassed all our expectations. Goodluck’s knowledge of all the areas and wildlife was incredible. I love birds and he had amazing knowledge, knew where to stop and lent me his book!
I am lucky enough to have been to the Kruger and I can say without doubt that the Serengeti tour is much better in every way!
This tour is incredible value for money and the places we stayed were utterly charming.
Booking was easy and communication from initial Enquiry was great.
Goodluck for us was really the standout of the trip as I know that a guide really does make or break your experience.
In all this crazy pandemic the thought of getting back for my next trip always puts a smile on my face.
10/10

Incredible! Good Luck, our guide made the trip.
The trip was amazing. Going into the Ngorongoro creator felt like seeing the garden of Eden.
I was so impressed with all of the places we stayed. The camp site in the centre of the Serengeti was breath taking, being that close to nature was perfect.
Good Luck, our guide, was just wonderful. He knew all of the parks inside out, and seemed to be able know where the animals would be instinct. We saw the big five easily, including a cheater in a tree when we were totally alone. He also managed to find us some really specific birds! Can not recommend him enough, definitely a high point of the trip.

Classic Journeys was professional, reliable and knowledgeable, with wonderful guides.
In a pandemic, so many things could go wrong—but nothing did! If Classic Journeys said we’d get a PCR test result in four hours, Classic Journeys did just that. Our guides consistently showed up on time, even when rendezvousing at the Kenyan border. Lots of work was obviously going on in the background to make the trip feel this seamless. Our two guides (Good Luck in Tanzania and Moses in Kenya) made our safari feel (in a good way) like a college-credit course. Every question was answered with a depth of knowledge that can only come from vast experience and dedication to the environments these guides work in and serve. They patiently answered our questions about the parks, animals, politics and even about their own lives. They are expert in the art of spotting a leopard or a rhino (among the rarer examples of wildlife) in the landscape. The choice of lodging was perfect. Kati Kati in the Serengeti was the most down-to-earth setting but the service was fantastic and it was a privilege to be housed in the park itself, where one night we heard a lion exploring outside our fortified tent. The manager, Job, worked so hard to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable. At night, travelers gathered around his “African TV” (a bonfire) to talk about the highlights of their day. We met folks from Portugal, the US, and Spain. The group of young men who live at the camp during the tourist season worked non-stop to walk us to our tent, get our showers ready with solar-heated water, turn down our beds, and simply to entertain us with stories and information (I’m talking to you, Honest!). In the Zebra Plains lodge at Amboseli Park in Kenya, a staff member named Moses offered to walk us around the brush surrounding the lodge, which abuts his village. He showed up in his traditional Maasai clothing and for the next hour identified animal footprints, skat, and plants, while watching carefully for wildlife. We were well fed by all lodges and camps, including with robust packed lunches when we were out for the entire day. The Lake Manyara Safari Lodge quickly adjusted its dinner option when I made a special request. The staff at all lodges and camps is exceedingly professional (many of whom we learned are earning college degrees in hospitality).

A perfect trip!
Classic Journeys put together an absolutely amazing experience for us. Elvis was just terrific to work with. He promptly responded to all questions and helped us navigate through all the confusing travel requirements (visas, Covid tests, etc). He customized our tour to give us exactly what we wanted.
Every detail was perfectly executed. Our driver Chris was waiting for us as soon as we landed in a clean vehicle. He took us straight to a great hotel and picked us up again the next morning promptly. All our accommodations were terrific, the food was great, the sites were amazing.
Our safari guide Sameer was perfect! Super knowledgeable about every plant and animal, history, geography, geology, etc. Every game drive was fun, informative and unforgettable.
I can’t recommend this company highly enough. They will nail every detail in creating the perfect trip for you. Thank you Classic Journeys!
