Everything well organized from the beginning at the end. Drivers and hotel chosen were fantastic
As from the arriving at the airport the first driver took us and brought to the first hotel. Then the 2nd day the 2nd driver took us for the safari gaming. Everything was very well organized. We also saw the big 5. The quality of food and the hotel chosen by the company were fantastic.

Amazing safari!
The safari was amazing and our driver Sammie was great. He made our experience even better by knowing where to go and how to deal with certain road conditions. In addition, the chosen accommodation was lovely and the service incredible. Would strongly recommend.

Trip of a lifetime, excellent from start to finish.
Our tour was full on, going from Nairobi to Ambroseli, Ngorogoro, Serengeti and Masai Mara. Each of the parks had their own special appeal and our drivers Amir and Magi were excellent. Despite the high grass and some seasonal rain (mainly at night) the experience of the guides allowed us to tick off the big 5 and have some unforgettable experiences with Elephants, Lions, Cheetahs etc. etc. A drive did not go by without something that took our breath away. A real adventure.
Serena hotels were in beautiful locations with excellent service and ok food.

Exceeded all expectations
Good communications. All mails were replied to promptly and clearly.
Our two groups arrived at two airports. There was someone to meet us at both, which had been a slight concern. So well organised.
We stayed in a variety of lodges and hotels and camps . We have our favourites but they were all friendly, clean, with good food and expecting us.
We had a very good guide who had good knowledge, excellent reference books and who listened to our requests and desires. He did brilliantly in some very tricky driving conditions.
We enjoyed seeing all the baby animals, with plenty to eat and drink.

We had an amazing trip and an absolutely carefree vacation
We went on a trip to Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, Amboseli, Tsavo West and Diani Beach.
Classic journey did an excellent job in organising the whole trip. The choice of Nationalparks and Hotels/Camps was excellent - every place has its very own charm and is worth the visit! Everything was very well organised from the pick-up in Nairobi to the drop-off at the airstrip in Ukunda.
A special thanks goes to Sami, our guide! Even while driving, he spottet most of the animals before we did :) he knows the flora & fauna, is an exceptional driver and has a good sense of humour. Thanks for taking us on this adventure ;)

Classic Overall my experience with Classic Journey was average.
Classic journeys needs to be more detail oriented.
We would get to the airport not knowing what airline we are flying, and have to call them last minute to find out.
They need to audit the hotels, they are doing business with on a regular bases. We were sent to Swahili hotel on the coast which is a dump!!! I would not send my worst Enemies to that hotel.
Tour guides were good, am not sure if it’s a wage issue or not but some tour guides had a body odor issue. The knowledge level of the tour guide was good.

Posted on Mar 4, 2020Thank you for your feedback, and letting us know about the issue. We apologize that we did not meet your requirements during your July safari, we ensure to make our clients’ satisfaction and happiness are our key priorities.
In regards to the tour guide’s body odor, we do remunerate our staff before every safari as per the high industry standards we have set. We are afraid that this might be inaccurate information as all our guides are conversant and meet high hygiene and grooming standards.
In regards to the Swahili Beach Resort issue, we understand there was a misunderstanding between yourself and the hotel manager, however, the manager tried to resolve the issue. Swahili Beach Resort is one of the good resorts in South Coast as per the TripAdvisor. 791/ 971 clients who stayed there reviewed it as very Good/ excellent- 82% . (https://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-s1-g656265-d1594102-Reviews-Swahili_Beach_Resort-Kizimkazi_Zanzibar_Island_Zanzibar_Archipelago.html)
We also inspect all hotel properties and get to sample their services before advising our clients to stay with them so as to make sure they meet our high standards.
We do apologize. Thank you very much we really hope to host you in the near future.

Unforgettable safari experience in Kenya & Tanzania!
Being an Argentinean family, we contacted our fellow countryman Justo Casal, from Merging Mundos in Kenya, who developed a customized 13-night safari and beach mixed itinerary in Kenya and Tanzania, based on our interests and expectations. That proved to be the best choice we could have made, as we had the vacations of our lifetime! And Classic Journeys played the fundamental role in that experience, being our hosts and companions from start to finish, with Elvis always reachable at any time to help with anything we might need. We started our trip in Nairobi, for visiting an Elephant Orphanage and a Giraffe Center, and then continued to Massai Mara to initiate our true safari experience. Based on our experience and the fact that it had been raining a lot the few previous days in Kenya, which was totally untypical in january/february, it was critical we were given very capable drivers/guides along with 4x4 Land Cruisers. Several roads inside the parks and even in-transit between parks, were absolutely challenging and quite impassable, with very deep mud, water and flooded bridges, and only thanks to Amir in Kenya and Mirage in Tanzania and their excelled driving capabilities, we were able to make it. For sure other 4x4 minivans that usually crowd the parks, would have been left stranded, as we actually witnessed some! After Massai Mara, we turned into Tanzania and visited the immense Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area: a magnificent creation of nature! Then we headed back to Kenya, for visiting Amboseli, with its unique and stunning views of Mt Kilimanjaro, and Tsavo National Parks. During our safari tenure, we experienced a combination of jungle lodges and luxury tented camps, which provided my wife and three kids with a real taste of wildlife. And of course we needed to spend several hours each day as passengers either in the park on a game drive, or transiting between parks, for which you must get used to. Our program ended up with a largely deserved 3-day stay in Diani Beach, near Mombasa, for total relaxation in those white sandy beaches, while taking warm sea baths in the Indian Ocean, and enjoying nice African food in one of the many international resorts. Visiting Wasani Island for dolphins watching and snorkeling was the proper closing to our journey. Definitely East Africa has a lot to offer for a one-of-a-lifetime vacation, you should give it a try!

Friendly and trained personell
Ok, but 7 hours drive in a car with no AC and uncomfortable seats should be mentioned when booking. The safari was great, but when the car limits our trip around the park (crossing of river not possible), it's a pity, and we didn't get to go all over the park. The stay at Loyk was awesome, and the food great!

We had the most amazing safari experience with one the most knowledgable guides!
My husband and I went on a Classic Journeys Africa safari in August for our honeymoon. We worked with Elvis during the booking process and he was very responsive and helped answer all of my questions from day 1 to when we arrived in Nairobi from the US. Before booking our safari my husband and I had decided we wanted to go to Amboseli, Lake Nakuru and Maasai Mara. Classic Journeys had that exact safari and after reading through the amazing 5 star reviews I knew we wanted to book with them. Dixon was our guide and he was so knowledgeable and personable, it was a joy getting to know him during our 6 day safari and we couldn't have asked for a better guide, Dixon is the absolute BEST! Dixon has years of experience and we learned so much about the animals from him. He also was great in spotting out animals and making sure we got to see everything. We were lucky enough to spot all Big 5! Classic Journeys did a great job in all of our accomendations, we loved all the lodges we stayed in and thought the staff was so friendly and hospitable. We had a wonderful trip and recommend booking with Classic Journeys.

Great tour operator
Charles and his team offered us exceptional service and nothing was too much for them. Our guide Moses was knowledgeable friendly and made our Safari memorable. It was our in-laws first visit to Kenya and classic journeys made it a trip they will never forget. Thank you and anyone considering using this company you will not regret it
