Professional and accurate. An unforgettable safari experience
We are just back from a safari in Tarangiri, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngoro Ngoro.
We started planning the trip before Covid, then shifted from last October to Oct 2021
and the flexibility from Soul of Tanzania has been extremely helpful to make it finally happen.
The proposed schedule and lodges have made this experience a memorable one.
The safari with the help of our guide George is fantastic. The parks are wonderful but the dedication of George, is continuous coordination with other guides to drive us in the right spot, and the competence to give us all information about animals and their habits has made the difference.

The best Safari company in the world! Amazing
From the first contact we had with Sandy to plan our trip, until the last day, everything went perfectly! The availability, speed and agility in closing a program that matches our needs is something that is visible from day one! Not to mention the possibility of exchanging emails in Portuguese which always helps. Our guide Erasto has a special eye for discovering animals, we had amazing animal experiences 2 meters from the jeep. We were fortunate to see the Big5 and to bring home experiences and fantastic stories!
I clearly recommend that you choose Soul of Tanzania for this spectacular trip.
PS: the hot meal for lunch accompanied by a glass of wine is the perfect option for the lunch breaks and recovery from tiredness!
Thanks!!

Professional, friendly & reliable!
From the time we started our first correspondence with Luis from Soul of Tanzania - 1 month before our desired time of travel - till the time we said goodbye to our safari guide Edwin in Tanzania - 6 weeks later - our experience was nothing short of delightful. Luis was always patient and helpful with all of our queries and made sure all our requirements were well taken care of. On arrival in Arusha, due to some misunderstanding about the flight timings, our pick up was delayed. Somebody from the Soul office picked us up at the airport an hour later and more than made up for the mistake on their part. She drove us around Arusha and even took us shopping as my bag never made it on the flight to Tanzania. In Arusha we met with our safari guide for the next 5 days, Edwin, and we couldn't have been happier! Edwin was extremely fun and seemed to know the Serengeti like the back of his hand. He made sure everyday was special and that we saw the Big 5 before the end of our safaris. What stood out for me about Edwin though was how he went out of his way to make sure my bag arrived in the Serengeti within 2 days instead of in Arusha 5 days later so I could have all my essentials with me during the safari.
However, we do hope the jeep condition could've been a little better considering the charging port didn't work and the seats could use some refurbishing. Some amount of variety in the meals offered could be an added bonus as well.
All in all, we couldn't have asked for a better honeymoon and for that, a large part of the credit goes to the Soul of Tanzania team. From communication to accommodation to just being there for you every step of the way, its safe to say you will be putting your money in the right place when booking with them!

Amazing experience!!! Thank you
It was an amazing experience! Thank you to Soul of Tanzania and a special thanks to Edward our guide.
We come from Switzerland and at first we didn't expect such a high level of quality for the price (good value)
We chose the standard pack hotel :
1. We had a jeep for two
2. For Lunch, we had hot meals and wine, really delicious
3. We learn a lot with our guide about the culture and also the animals
4.the hotels were well situated and fancy..
Definitely we was amazed by the norongo crater.. We recommended this agency to our friends who plan to travel to Tanzania..

One of the best experiences of our lifes
We are a portuguese couple who have decided to go to Tanzania for our honeymoon. We did a 4days 3 nights safari with Soul Of Tanzania company. We went to Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater.
All the experience was absolutely fantastic! Our tour guide was Erasto Gnowi, he was just amazing, the best guide we could ever asked for. He is very very experienced, knew everything about wildlife. We felt really safe during all the times. ( Believe me, safety is not an issue you have to concern about. If you follow the rules given by your guide everything is going to be perfectly ok!!) Erasto provided us a great experience that we will never forget. It was magical! Also we had cooked meals everyday instead of sandwichs and snacks that other companies offer. Red wine was so good too!
And finally… We saw the big five!! So incredible. 2 leopards, 1 rhino, lots of buffalos elephants and lions.
Thank you Soul of Tanzania and Erasto, next Safari in Africa will be with you again!
Keep up with the excellent work

Excellent organization and amazing guide
Beginning of August 2021 we had the pleasure to experience a combined Safari Masai Mara Kenya + Northern Safari Circuit (Serengeti, Nogorongoro, Lake Manyara + Tarangire NP) with Sould of Tanzania and their partner company Spirit of Kenya.
Overall I can say that the entire journey was an amazing trip with lots of fantastic (wildlife) moments.
Communication in advance with our journey designer Sandy was perfect as she was very quick with her responses and the itinary she created was very well structured and organized. She even managed to integrate neccessary PCR tests to our itinary with minimum effect or limitations to our safari time. Thank you Sandy for all your efforts!
We have been picked up on time at the airport Nairobi and transfer to the Mara was ok (be prepared that 90% of all rides are going to be very bumpy – so if one tends to become sick of that or have a hurting back you may think twice).
Kenya part of our safari was organized via Spirit of Kenya and our driver guide was Seco. He was a friendly person and gave his very best to find us the best sightings in the Mara.
Our Camp in the Mara was Julias River Camp. Location of this camp was great but service mentality was only mediocre. Price-Value for Julias River Camp was not ok and I would not go there again.
Our part in Tanzania that was organized by Soul of Tanzania was entirely enjoyable.
We met our amazing guide Tom at the border and from the first moment we were happy to have him with us. He did exactly what one would expect from your guide – he asked all our preferences, told us that we are welcome to ask any question about nature, life in Tazania our even some personal insights and opinions. We felt comfortable with his driving although he didn´t compromise on speed outside the parks to guarantee maximum safari time.
I was fascinated about Toms knowledge as he was able to answer every question I had about the wildlife and he explained and gave far more information without even asking. Also I was impressed about his ability to sight the game even from far distance while driving the Jeep. Also his service was perfect from having a clean car every morning, dealing with all our extra wishes to managing next day plan with camp staff for us. He also supported us extraordinary good as weh ad some doubts concerning our PCR tests – he took several calls with hospital to ensure that we do not need to worry.
Especially remarkable was that Tom tried not to follow same routine like it seems majority of the other guides do – means just to bring people to the well known spots. I remember e.g. that he drove extra circuit with us to find a Rhino as we were keen to see one.
Beeing with Tom felt like you have a friend at your side and without any doubt we would go with him again!
Our camp in the Serengeti – Tortilis Serengeti - was outstanding. There was nothing that was not good. The staff was amazingly friendly from first second to last second. We really felt like king and queen there! The tents are equipped beautiful with wonderful wooden furniture, beds are very comfy, you have hot water for showers and every detail was perfect. Also food was great and variety of drinks is remarkable!
Once again I need to say that especially the kindness of the staff was making our stay unforgettable.
Camp at Ngorongoro was Tortilis Ngorongoro. Location here is wonderful too and somehow even a bit mystic under the wonderful trees. This is a Tortilis camp too so standard was same high as in Tortilis Serengeti. People were kind and friendly as well.
Just one little remark that food was repeating to Tortilis Serengeti as I believe Tortilis chain has predefined meals for all their locations. But this is not a complaint as the fish was good also second time.
Our last camp was Burunge Tented Camp close to Tarangire NP. This Camp does not compare to the Tortilis standard (only half of the cost). It is a compareable huge camp that hosts quite many guests. Thus it is way less private in restaurant area. Food is good and comes as a buffet style. Tents are more basic and with way less love for the detail compared to Tortilis. Staff was quite reserved and not very communicative. Best thing at Burunge Camp ist he View. Still it was a good stay here.
Fazit of our Safari was that we are happy to have choosen Soul of Tanzania for our Tanzania trip. The organization was great ans especially our guide Tom made this a very great safari! Also we would reccommend to chose the Tortilis Camps! The part in Kenya with Spirit of Kenya was alright but next time we would look for some alternative here.

Perfect Safari Experience!
We had 5 days of safari, traveling between 3 parks (Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro).
Everything was booked before with Sandy via e-mail with all the information shared clear and easy.
The guide was perfect, professional and very well trained.
We highly recommend that you choose George to be your guide also!
The jeep was comfortable, well maintained and clean.
Cooked food at every meal.
For the safari itself... no words can describe the feelings and the views lived during one safari.
So we can only say that everyone needs to make one!

We enjoyed every moment and the whole trip exceeded our expectancy.
Our guide Tumayni was a well trained person, a perfect driver:), a pleasant man to talk to. He made our safari safe and showed us all interesting aspects of each place we visited. We highly recommend him!

Our bespoke Kenya and Tanzania safari was amazing!
Soul of Tanzania and our safari designer Luis put together a near perfect bucket list trip for my wife and I. From the very first email contact to the updated communications during our safari, the service and attention was impeccable. During the design phase, it was never more than 24 hours before they would get back to me with answers to our many questions. We were given multiple choices / levels of accommodation to choose from at every stop which was very nice. We stayed at two tented camps in Kenya, and three different tented camps in Tanzania, and were able to see EVERY big game animal we wanted. We saw lions on 7 of 10 safari days, cheetahs four different days, the elusive leopards twice, as well as too many elephants, giraffe, zebra, and wildebeest to count. I highly recommend starting with one of their set packages and customizing for your liking. I also recommend multiple tented camps so your chances of different animal encounters increase dramatically.
