Great Experience!
I recently had the incredible opportunity to embark on a journey to Kenya and Tanzania, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I set foot on this enchanting continent, I was captivated by its rich culture, diverse landscapes, and warm-hearted people.
One of the highlights of my trip was exploring the untamed wilderness on a safari. Witnessing majestic creatures like lions, elephants, and giraffes in their natural habitat left me in awe. The early morning game drives, guided by the best rangers, were an adventure filled with breathtaking encounters with wildlife.

Can’t speak highly enough , the overall experience was out of this world, Jose from Soul of Tansania/ Spirit of Kenya organized everything down to the last detail.
The private tour began in Arusha and ended in Nairobi. Wonderful tours of wildlife included Tarangiri, Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti Park and Masai Mara.
Beautiful accommodations, and great guides. Trip to the giraffe sanctuary and the Karen Blitzens house in Nairobi were bonuses.

Choosing a safari tour company can be daunting. However, choosing the right safari company can insure the best, once in a lifetime adventure! We chose Soul of Tanzania and they delivered exactly what we wanted! Jose, our Journey Designer was very professional and highly experienced! Jose listened to what we wanted, patiently answered our many questions then confidently guided us through the trip planning process.
One reason we chose Soul of Tanzania is because we wanted a local company who had “on the ground” expertise with the East Africa parks and camps. We also wanted the flexibility to build our own itinerary, choose our accommodations, and travel privately with a Safari driver/guide rather than in a group which Soul of Tanzania allowed us to do. All of our accommodations exceeded our expectations - the food, the comfortable beds, the service, and the ambiance of the camps.
One of the highlights of our trip was spending 8 days with Enock John, our expert driver/guide in Tanzania! Enock took such good care of us and seemed more like a longtime friend. After 15 years in the business, Enock is still so passionate about his love of animals and his job! He had an innate, sixth sense for finding animals and he knew every detail about every animal too. We would love to return someday and have Enock as our guide again!

Our adventure commenced in the vibrant city of Arusha, where we were seamlessly transported from the airport to our first destination. Over the following days, we were treated to a mesmerizing exploration of the region's natural wonders. Our itinerary took us through the breathtaking landscapes of Tarangire, the awe-inspiring Ngorongoro Crater, and the boundless beauty of both Central and Northern Serengeti. The game drives were really awesome. We saw the big five and more. At the Mara River we experienced the wilderbeest crossing twice.
A pivotal highlight of our expedition was the enchanting balloon ride along the Mara River, an experience that transported us beyond the realms of ordinary reality. The seamless transition from Kogatende Airstrip to the Kenyan border was a testament to the meticulous planning and coordination by the Soul of Tanzania team. Effortlessly crossing the border with the guidance of a seasoned driver, we seamlessly ventured into the depths of the Maasai Mara for three remarkable days.
Each accommodation was handpicked with precision, offering not just comfort but a glimpse into the warm hospitality of the region. Our driver, Simon, not only expertly navigated the terrain but also became our knowledgeable guide, regaling us with captivating tales about the diverse wildlife and the surrounding landscapes. His thoughtful gesture of preparing delectable lunches, accompanied by a glass of fine wine, added an extra touch of luxury to our already extraordinary journey.
Our first safari adventure was a revelation, and the expertise of a specialist like Jose and the unwavering support of Simon in Tanzania and Nick in Kenya, ensured that it won't be our last. Exceeded our once in a lifetime expectations
From the moment we connected with Soul of Tanzania we knew we were in good hands. Our journey designer Sandy was patient and helpful in creating our trip and finding the right accommodation. We were so spoilt by our accommodations throughout the trip, the hospitality was unforgettable.
Our safari guide, Salum, was phenomenal. Quiet and kind at first, but he proved to be knowledgeable and in the end “Mr Right Place, Right Time” who spoiled us with animal sightings.
We chose the Living with Lions safari, and it was perfect for our first time safari experience.

Excellent safari
We were a group of 6 friends that had never been to Africa before.
When designing our safari we had very little idea of where to go. Sandy was extremely patient and very helpful when we were working out our trip. She always answered my many questions very quickly, no pressure just helpful advice.
Our driver/guide -James was brilliant- he really knew his stuff and was very accommodating of our needs. Thanks to James we saw all the animals and lots of animal behavior. We especially enjoyed watching the “kills” and the great migration of the wildebeest.
I have no hesitation in recommending Soul of Tanzania.

Honeymoon Safari
We just got back from our 7 day safari for our honeymoon and had such a great time. Booking this trip was a very smooth process, and everything is customizable. The hot lunch provided were delicious and plentiful. The accommodations we selected were clean and as described online.
Our guide was Levis Lewis (Mmeruu). He has many years of experience and is very knowledgeable on everything Tanzania. He was a great driver, knows all the roads, and will get your there in the quickest and safest way possible. We had such a great time with him in the many hours we spent together. He was quick to spot animals from such a far distance, and because of this we were able to see so many of them including the big 5. On our transfer to Kenya, the main road leading to the boarder was closed, but Mmeruu got us to the right spot at the exact time we needed to be there. Thank you so much!
