Incredible Experience Seeing Mountain Gorillas
One of the best experiences of our lives came when my wife Elena and I trekked into the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to spend an hour with a family of mountain gorillas. Truly magical! Rainforest and Community Tours made it all happen, and from the moment they picked us up at the airport to the time we said goodbye, they made us feel right at home in Uganda. We can't say enough about their service, kindness and professionalism, and we highly recommend them to anyone considered visiting the Pearl of Africa!

The best Tour ever
We have booked a car with a Driver for 20 days. It was the best tour ever. We sleeped in a community Camp by the Ruwenzori N.P. and by the Bwindi N.P. It was only great. We will visiting Uganda in 2018 with the same tour Operator. Thank you again for everything. P.S. The Driver Hans is definitely the best, he know everything.

Wonderful impressions of Uganda
We - parents with 18 year old daughter- made a round trip from Kampala to Budongo-Murchison-Rwenzori Lake Mburo-Kampala in 10 days. We don't want to spend much money and choose good and not expencive Lodges. The Budongo EcoLodge has good meals (2 of us are vegetarians-no problem) and is situated in the forest. We enjoyed the birding tour very much with a guide who had much knowledge. Great was the game drive and boat cruise in Murchison NP. Red Chili hide-away has a nice view over the NP and friendly stuff. In Rwenzori NP it wasn't easy (for us) to head to Ruboni community hill trek. To see a three horned chameleon during the walk was fantastic.
In Lake Mburo the Rwonyo camp with tents is simple and it is not easy to get to the restaaurant at the seaside. You always need a ranger to get there because of the animals on the way. We meet Felex from Rainforest Tours, drivers, park wardens and rangers who all arrive in time and are very helpfull and friendly. Our expectations are more than fullfilled.

A Personalized & Unforgettable Visit to Uganda!
Rainforest and Community Tours is a Pearl of a Tour Company in Uganda, the Pearl of Africa. My wife and I went on two separate tours, a shoebill excursion in Mabamba Swamp, and a Kampala City Tour. The tours were private, just the two of us, and very affordable. Our driver showed up on time, was flexible with our schedule, and had lots of great information to share about the fascinating country of Uganda. All of his transport was like a bonus tour within the tour.
Despite being off prime-viewing hours, the local guides from the Mabamba area were able to find two shoebills for us to see up close (and one flying high above), which is incredible considering there are only around a dozen shoebill in the entire swamp! We also saw a plethora of other birds of which our guide knew every name. They gave us a lot of time to take the perfect pictures.
Our tour through the bustling city of Kampala was a definite highlight of our trip to Africa. So many basic tours skip over the cities, but there is a lot of merit in seeing this side of Africa. Our guide was able to take a few suggestions of sights that we were interested in and couple them with his own recommendations for an excellent whirlwind tour of the city. Seas of taxis, maze-like marketplaces, a mosque with a 360* view of the cityscape from it's 15-floor tower, and so much more! With our guide's help we took local public transport everywhere (per our request) and it was all a real taste of the everyday citylife of Africa. The tour concluded with an essential visit to the Ndere Center (amazing feats of dance and drumming!) and a long personal transport back to our hotel in Entebbe.
I cannot praise this company highly enough for their personalized and memorable tour experiences! Best of all, this is a company run by locals and all their profits go back into the community! Don't hesitate to book your next tour with them!

very good follow up, we were vtaken good care of both by Felex and our driver Hans
Communication and service excellent. It needs though some knowledge on how to travel in Uganda. Facilities at Crows nest and departure for boat to Sese is for some musungus a bit challenging. also guiding at crows nest could have been better / distributed among more guides maybe .
We could have managed without Tooro hotel and maybe have proceeded to some smaller place a bit firther ahead towords Murchison ( ask Hans- the place were he had his breakfast). Maybe also have skipped Semiliki - a bit disappoiunting with very few birds due to midday visit.
Apart from those small comments, we are all very satisfied and will recomand Rainforest and community tours to others. The idea of money going back to communities are excellent.
The food at elephant camp is top - those working there also very hospitabel.
Our driver was very good, both in driving ( apart from the right side in Kigali :-) ) and in service towards us. As well as in knowledge on wildlife

Honest, friendly and good communication
I contacted Felex to setup a 6 days hike in the Rwenzori mountains which was a unique experience. But I didn't know he also had contacts in other parts of Uganda. Thanks to Felex he provided me with a local guide Paul to visit the Tepeh tribe in Moroto. Paul is an incredible interesting guy. He was born in the tribe, spent his youth here and excaped from the fighting and shooting many years ago in this area. When the peace came back, he returned and now he uses his knowledge to connect the "modern" world with the unique village life. Still today he spend most of his time in the village.
In Sipi we stayed with Moses, a very nice and friendly guy offering a homestay.
Felex does his upmost best to support the local communities and to instruct them how to welcome guests.
After 3 weeks in Uganda we left the country very satisfied. We were in close contact with the locals. We're very happy we could support these communities.
