“11 days Kenya and Tanzania Safari”
We booked with Tazama Africa Holidays for a an 10 days safari and they took care of us when we started our safari to the end.
We met Antony waiting for us at NBO and he assisted us with SIM cards as well as introducing us to our safari driver, Charlie the next morning. Since we started and ended our safari in Kenya, we were more than happy with our experience with this safari company. They are professional, reliable, and aimed to please their clients. The 4x4 safari jeeps were superb. Charlie, our safari driver was very easy to talk with. He made us embrace the essence of Hakuna Matata. We had endless laughs with him. He had great relationships with everyone we encountered - good relations with staff, other drivers, and/or locals while on safari drives to ensure a smooth experience. He also had eagle eyes and tried very hard for us to find a rhino the last 2 days. Unfortunately we didn't get to see one in Maasai Mara, but that didn't hinder our experience one bit! Absolute request for Charlie if you can! There were no surprises and everything in our itinerary was followed precisely. =)
Give Tazama Africa Holidays chance to show their commitment in providing a wonderful safari experience in Kenya (or even Kenya + Tanzania!).

7-Day Tazama Classic Kenya Safari
Me and my friend just finished 7 day safari visiting Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, Masai Mara & Lake Nakuru guided by Tony. It was, in a word, incredible. Antony, the owner of the company was professional, attentive, easy to communicate and he fulfilled every request we made like changing to accommodations we wanted, he even gave us a discount on upgrading to 4x4 Land Cruiser. We choose Tazama based on reviews firstly but after a few quotes from other companies, Antony gave us the cheapest quote, even though many other companies offered the same lodges/camps.
The Wildlife Experience: Even it was a low/rainy season but actually it wasn't raining at all during those 7 days except for couple hours, we managed to see all of the Big Five. We were lucky to see 4 cheetahs, big groups of elephants, flamingos in Amboseli, Kilimanjaro is always a bonus if it's visible. At Lake Naivasha is worth to stop if there is interest in birds or hippos, also it has beautiful accommodation where from a balcony possible to see walking zebras, horses and hippos come at night time. Masai Mara have everything, we saw everything starting from lions hunting, marking their territory, eating a zebra, chasing vultures away, also five musketeers (cheetahs), leopard having a nap on the tree, many hippos in the water, giraffes with babies and even ostriches. I dont know how much luck was involved in finding those animals but I believe Tony's experience to find them played the significant role.
If you are looking for a great value safari led by an exceptional guide, I highly recommend Tazama Safaris. It was the quintessential safari experience, and I would not have changed a thing.

Trip of a Lifetime
We booked Tazama Africa Holidays after I read the wonderful reviews. I'm so glad we did. Antony was our guide and really made the whole trip everything we dreamed about. His communication during the planning process was excellent and very timely, so that gave me a sense of relief. He picked us up right on time at our hotel, and we headed out to the Maasai Mara. Please note that the roads are not all paved so it can be a bumpy ride. As we arrived, everyone greeted him and he knew so many people and other guides. This is highly important because guides share information with each other on sightings. You want someone who knows where the animals tend to be and has a great relationship with other guides so that they share info on special sightings. We told him that we were especially interested in the big cats, and he went out of his way to make sure that we got to see them and got great photos. My camera battery died in the middle of a drive and fortunately, he had the same brand and lent me his. Antony shared information about Kenya and the Maasai Mara and was interested in learning about the USA as well. He is a very kind, caring soul and was fully invested in making sure we got what we wanted out of this trip. We saw lions, cheetahs, leopards, giraffes, elephants, zebras, water buffalos, hippos, and so much more. On the way back home and before our flight, he took us to the restaurant Carnivore which was absolutely delicious. Antony is a gentlemen through and through and you can't go wrong booking this tour company.

Everything was arranged perfectly. I did not have to worry about anything.
I booked the safari without many expectations. It turned out to be one of the best trips I have ever done. Because of my guide, Charlie, I got to see a lot of the Kenyan wildife.

Exceptionally well executed
Antony received is at Nairobi airport on 22nd June 2019. N then on started a very memorable trip.
An extremely personalised & customised trip it was.
The national parks that we visited were serene & spectacular.
The places we stayed at ( Ol tukai , Serena sweetwater, Bateleur Camp , Sarova white sand) all of it was superb. With each place it was only a step up. Honestly i have no complaints whatsoever.
We actually managed to see the Big 5. Antony’s knowledge about Kenya, animals n all things wildlife is impeccable.
He really did look after us & for a first timer... this trip was more than what we expected.
Thank you so much Antony (Tazama Holidays) for this memorable trip.

Anthony of Tazama Africa holidays arranged the best wildlife experience for us. It met all expectati
Anthony and his Masai guide,Charles, gave us the best safari experience we had hoped for. Sopa lodges in lake Nakuru and Masai were very good. Being a vegetarian, it was heartwarming to get Indian vegetarian food, which made the stay feel homely and welcoming. The vehicle given was fit for photography safari, which was what we went there for, apart from experiencing the whole wildlife package. We came away very satisfied

Incredible safari
We had a fantastic holiday in Kenya, one of our best so far. Anthony from Tazama Africa Holidays, organized a 3 days/2 nights safari which went perfectly smoothly. Before we arrived in Kenya, he was quick to reply to any of our inquiries and he also provided tips on the organization of the trip. Once in Kenya, we decided to stay a couple of days in Nairobi to recover from the jet lag and the long haul to be fully rested before the safari. On the first day of the safari, early in the morning, Anthony picked us up from our hotel and drove us to the airport to take a flight to the Maasai Mara and he also took care of us when we were back in Nairobi, he was always punctual.
In the Maasai Mara reserve, we were greeted on the airstrip by Charles, our Maasai guide. Charles was a great guide, excellent at tracking animals. He was also knowledgeable about the wildlife and it was a pleasure to hear him explain some fun facts about animals that we can now share on our turn with our friend and family. He was driving us in an open sided jeep (as well as the roof) which was ideal to comfortably observe the scenery while driving and take pictures from different angles.
During the safari, we stayed at the Maasai Mara Sopa which is a lovely lodge at the entrance of the reserve. We were very pleased with the accommodation, it was cute and clean, and the staff was extremely kind. Initially, we’d prefer to stay in a tented camp but we booked our trip too late, so we’d advice to book as early as possible if you look for that type of experience (fyi, we booked in March for a safari in July).

Kenya Honeymoon 2019
My Wife and I booked through Tazama Africa Holidays for our Honeymoon in August 2019 and couldn’t be happier. Antony was incredibly helpful throughout the quote/payment process and always answered all my emails straight away which was incredibly reassuring when booking something so important from the other-side of the world! He was happy to change some of the finer details of our booking to meet our requirements and booked our hotels prior to us paying to ensure we got the rooms we wanted which was very trusting.
Our Safari was 7 days as follows; Pick up Nairobi - 2 days Amboseli (Kibo Safari Camp), 1 day Lake Naivasha (Sopa), 3 days Masai Mara (Sopa) and 1 day Lake Nakuru then drop off in Nairobi.
Our guide for the week was Josh who we couldn’t speak more highly of! He looked after us so well. Seeing him waiting for us every morning by the van with big smile ready for an action packed day made us feel safe and excited for the days ahead! His knowledge of the parks, roads and of course wildlife was second to none and without him I think we’d have been lucky to see what we did!
We experienced multiple encounters with all the big five, witnessed Lion, Cheetah and Crocodile kills and a wildebeest river crossing in the Mara.
I honestly think and from speaking to other guests at the Lodges this was down to Josh being such a great guide and on the ball because we definitely saw most than other guests.
Lake Naivasha was beautiful and we had a great boat trip getting up close with Hippo’s but if you’re short on time i’d consider spending this day on one of the other game reserves instead. It’s not a park so you won’t see the big 5 here. We loved it - with zebra coming onto our patio at night it was a incredible memory, but I can imagine those on a shorter trip might want to spend the time in search of the more elusive wildlife. Not a negative at all, just something for people reading this and planning maybe to consider!!
All in all, I couldn’t speak more highly of Tazama and our guide Josh. We have the most amazing memories from an extra special holiday which will last us a lifetime!
My wife and I even commented in the morning after we left that it was a shame Josh wasn’t waiting for us in the morning!!

Couldn't have asked for a better experience
My boyfriend and I did a 7 day tour with Tazama through Samburu, Lake Nakuru, and Masai Mara. It was the perfect way to see every animal on our list and see a diversity of ecosystems. Antony was so prompt and professional with booking everything. Steven, our guide, was sooo respectful of park rules and the animals, which was really important to us. He was smart, funny, flexible, and made sure the trip went as smoothly as possible (we didn't have any hiccups)! The lodges we stayed at were some of the nicest we've ever been to. It was a perfect trip and we can't thank Tazama, Antony, or Steven enough!
