Brill Trip with a Great Guy
Anthony is open to any requirements you have, or any specific things you wish to do - my only advice is, just trust him and the process!
I did an amazing 11 day Safari - and enjoyed every second.
I did worry at first that maybe it was too long, as many others had been on maybe 3 or 4 days...well, in the end, I wished I could have stayed longer!
It has been an incredible experience, I saw all the animals I dreamed of and many - with the red elephants of Tsavo a personal favourite!
The accommodation was great and the company even better.
Anthony is somebody who really cares about what you experience and what you see - you can’t buy that, but it is so much better because of it!
Enjoy!

Luxurious Trip Across Kenya
Like others, travelling in a time like this can be worrying, but Anthony took care of everything and helped with all elements.
I booked a 7 night Safari across Kenya, and finished my trip in Diani Beach (paradise on earth! And highly recommended).
I wanted to treat myself to a fancier trip - and he knew exactly where to take me. Anthony booked everything on my behalf (actually worked out a wholeeee lot cheaper than the quotes I received directly from the resorts).
The Safari van was amazing for my photography requirements (all the sides fully opened up) and looked very authentic to all my family back home! In fact Anthony even had an adaptor lens so I could use his huge Nikon lens on my Canon - WIN WIN!
Save yourself the cost of a new lens, and treat yourself to this trip I say! You will not be disappointed. You see everything you dream of (which I won’t write about, as I will leave it to your magical surprise!)
PS. Top tip - contact him directly, I did the same as others!

Fantastic trip with a brilliant host! Very knowledgable and patient!
Anthony had wonderful communication, from my first WhatsApp message - it took him just 48hours to have everything planned and organised. I trusted Anthony from his previous reviews, and was not disappointed.
I particularly enjoyed Amboseli, the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro with the elephants was fantastic. I saw two lions (brothers) feeding on a kill, whilst the jackals and vultures tried to catch a piece of the action! A memory I shan’t forget in a hurry!
The elephants in Amboseli were so gracious and were willing to come close to the 4x4 so I even got a shot of their eyelashes!
I didn’t have a huge budget, but was really happy with the spots that we stayed in (everywhere was midrange or above). To be honest, I was really surprised at how beautiful the places I stayed actually were.
If you are looking to travel to Kenya, don’t hesitate, it’s fantastic!
At this time, the parks are almost empty and you feel like you have the place to yourself!

Fantastic, caring and trustworthy!
I took a 7 day Safari with Tazama Africa in February this year. I received help from Anthony with many parts of organising the trip, as we are obviously in Covid times - making this whole trip possible!
Every element, from the 4x4 land cruiser, exotic animals, the accommodation and places/parks to visit were all organised from a person with care, knowledge and insight - who’s first concern was your experience and impression of Kenya.
I managed to see all the big 5, and countless more - like the wild dogs, which run in packs!
The camps/lodges were all great choices and allowed fast starts to the game drives. The view across Tsavo park from Kilaguni Serena Lodge was a personal favourite, as the bedroom/restaurant/coffee spot all looked out across the land. In the evening time, you can watch the wildlife gather around the waterhole whilst sipping a pina colada!
This has been a magical trip and I hope to do it all again.
PS. Make sure you pick the land cruiser as a minivan just can’t cope with the terrain - you will be stuck on the road whilst the cruiser gets you up close to the animals.

A trip of a lifetime
This trip has been one of a lifetime. I hear this phrase being said, and always wondered which trip would be mine.
I have travelled to many places around the world, but travelling to Kenya was something magical.
However, nothing about Kenya would have been the same without Anthony, the CEO of Tazama - who personally took me on a week long adventure through the Masai Mara, into Nakuru, Amboseli and Tsavo.
Anthony had so much knowledge to share, but also used his years of experience to tailor a trip specifically to myself and my needs. What’s most astonishing, is that Tazama was by far the cheapest quotation I received. That being said, the experience felt like I had spent a fortune.
I have seen animals straight from David Attenborough’s BBC show! From lions, leopards, giraffes, elephants, foxes, hippos and many many more - all in their natural habitat which was so refreshing. I also visited many different beautiful camps, with such a vast range of people, from all over the world. Everyone was so welcoming, polite and respectful - as a solo traveller, this was a concern but I had nothing to fear.
Travelling in a time like this can be worrying, but Anthony took care of everything and helped with every element - the best thing to do is to contact him directly. His communication was very fast, responding within minutes!

Unforgettable 3-Day Maasai Mara Adventure!
I am so thankful to Tazama Africa Holidays and my guide Gedion for an unforgettable safari experience! It was my first ever safari and I was privileged to see an abundance of animals, despite visiting during the off-season. I was very impressed with Gedion's eagle-eye vision as well as his driving abilities. He could spot rare, elusive wildlife from impossibly far distances and negotiate the muddiest of terrain with relative ease. I highly recommend choosing the Land Cruiser over the safari minivan. It costs a bit more, but is well worth the upgrade!

Three-day safari at Amboseli
I highly recommend Tazama Safari. What a great time we had!
We had a wonderful experience at Amboseli thanks to Antony and Tazama Safari. Antony was right there at the airport for pickup, with plenty of water bottles available to rehydrate us after a long flight. Prior to our arrival, Antony had upgraded our hotel booking to Oltukai Lodge, inside Amboseli and right in front of Kilimanjaro. Our game drives were great and Antony was really adroit in spotting where we should go to see animals, including lions. Anotny was courteous and friendly, and full of knowledge about the park. Our departure also went smoothly and we arrived back at the airport right on schedule. Next time we'll do the Masai Mara!

Fantastic trip with excellent operator
We booked a private safari 7 days/6nights with Tazama Africa Holidays. From the planning stage, Anthony was very responsive and was eager to help us. He offered a great itinerary and managed to make everything work.
A week or so before departure I had to push the departure date back due to work and Anthony made no fuss and within an hour or so had the trip rebooked for the new dates. By that stage we had been in touch by whatsap.
We arrived in Nairobi and were met by Anthony and Andrew at the airport and soon after we were on our way to central Kenya. We selected the 4x4 option and looking back we did see a few people in the van from other tours and it seems that you would be limited due to the condition of the roads in the parks.
Andrew was our guide and he was friendly and kept us entertained on the long drives. During the game drives we felt very fortunate to be with him. A combination of sharp eyesight, 6th sense and being resourceful got us very close to all the animals we wanted to see.
The lodges suggested were all great. We did some research and specificaly request one hotel and Anthony made it happen swiftly (planning stage)
We chose to spend a few days in Nairobi and Andrew came to pick us up the following day to take us to hospital (Covid test) which was really well organized. We got the results in 24hrs and Anthony followed up to make sure we had received them. On our last day, they both came to meet us at our hotel in Nairobi and Andrew drove us to the airport. Just great service and a friendly team who knows what they are doing!. We are planning on returning with our famillies next year and will be planning it with Tazama.

Best holiday ever!
I did the 8 day safari with Tazama, guided by Henry for two days and Anthony for the remainder. It was the best trip ever! Kenya is a beautiful country.
The trip was really well curated. After pick up, we set off for Samburu, central Kenya, and we worked our way towards the Masai Mara, stopping at Ol Pejeta and Lake Nakuru on the way. Each destination was unique and had something new to offer. I cannot convey how rich and varied the wildlife of Kenya is and the itinerary gave me an excellent opportunity to sample this with great success!
Ensuring you have an excellent guide is essential and my advice would be to trust them - Anthony and Henry know their stuff and were able to tap into their network of other guides to help you spot animals. If they suggest a 6am departure time, go for it and you’ll be the envy of the camp! We saw 10 cheetahs in the Masai Mara on one day when other groups saw none and similarly with a majestic leopard at dawn in Samburu. Their spotting skills and animal knowledge were fantastic and all my questions were answered. It’s worth noting that Anthony considers proximity to animals when suggesting accommodation.
The big 5 are a major draw and I was lucky to tick them all off but there’s so much more to safari! I also saw majestic ostriches, Masai and Somali, Grevis zebras and common zebras, large towers of giraffes, honking hippos, packs of lions feasting and the list goes on. Kenya’s birds were a big and very pleasant surprise. Vultures, secretary birds, crested cranes, eagles, hawks etc were fantastic to see in their natural habitats.
The accommodation and food were fab - absolutely no complaints. I was super comfortable and extremely well fed with delicious food throughout. My favourite though was BaseCamp Masai Mara which is right by the Talek river. I was lucky to be upgraded to the tent Obama stayed in as a senator but regardless, I have amazing memories of lying in bed listening to hyenas howl and lions roar in the night. The camp is kept secure by super friendly and helpful Masai people who also escort you around the camp after nightfall. In the evening, the camp was lit with oil lamps which was very very atmospheric. I felt so relaxed and peaceful there.
Tazama Africa are extremely professional and not pushy. Their aim is to help you have the best safari experience you can have. My last tip would be get a Land Cruiser if you can afford it. The terrain in the Masai Mara can be a little muddy and you might get stuck...

Excelent safari trip in Amboseli National Park. Exceed my expectations.
It was my third safari in Africa and I can only say that it has turned out to be a great experience. Antony is an excellent guide. He picked me up on time and even apologized during the trip to Amboseli because there was traffic in Nairobi ... 00
The tour was perfect. He did not mind adapting the itinerary to my travel needs. He booked me accommodation in a lodge that was way above my expectations and the three days of safari went very well. He asked me what I was interested in seeing and did his best to get it. I decided what time I wanted to go out. In the end we spent many hours looking for animals and the best views of the park so it was a perfect experience. I have no doubt that Antony will be my guide when he returns to Kenya on safari.
