Highly recommended! Beautiful safari with reliable and well prepared guide!
We booked a private jeep safari for 4 nights. The vehicle was perfect and the driver/guide David was fantastic: great driver, full of information and anecdotes, he speaks excellent English.
We recommend choosing the jeep that allowed us to cross even the paths where the vans had to stop.
We loved the tour between Tsavo East & West and Amboseli, they are very different parks and the variety of landscapes is fantastic.
Some uncertainties, however, during the negotiation: the tour has changed compared to what was initially proposed because the camps were not available as budgeted and we had to renegotiate both the tour and camps and we had to return to Mombasa by train instead of jeep. A few days after our arrival they had to change again one of the accommodations.
Very convenient to pay both the deposit and the balance with PayPal.
Overall they are super recommended and reliable but we suggest to start booking your safari in advance (at least 3 months) especially in high season to make sure you have the best choice of accommodations.

Everyday in Kenya is great with Features Africa Journeys. Beyond our expectation. Great time in life
I booked the tour 5 months in advance to make sure our dream to Safari tour come true.We choose this tour because the resting place and the vehicle looks new and we made the right decision. We travel for many hours to each national parks but it worth every minutes. We enjoy the scenery to the places. On the way to Masai Mara, we passed local village .Although the road is really rough but the scenery is really beautiful. The children waved at us and smile. They are really friendly. The tour driver and guide" Gerald" is in his duty for 14 years so he knows the way to go and knows the animals very well. We saw so many animals and we saw the migration of wildebeest in Masai Mara. There are 2 millions of them. What a view!. On the last day of Game drive my husband saw hippos lying on the shore .There were 60 and some crocodiles too. The tour provide enough water and snacks for us which is really help cause we need to stay in the car almost all day for travel between places. The weather is really nice 8-20 c. My favorite places to sleep is Flamingo Hill camp. The food there is like 5 stars hotel. We really enjoy every meal there. There are so many Thai friends who will follow my Kenya Trip. Features Africa Journeys will be my recommendation. We hire the company for another 4 hours on the day after the tour to Masai market. Tony our driver bring us to visit Kenya parliament and Masai Market.Which is beyond our expectation. Thank you all the team Karanja Njiiri, Gerald and Tony. We really appreciate your service and make our first trip in Kenya a memorable one. Thank you again.

Very exotic safari with a incredible guide
If you want to learn anything about Kenya wildlife you just have to get Karanja and his green car. Its the best way! Amazing journey that started in Nairobi, then to Lake Nakuru where we have seen a real chase. Karanja (safari guide) is always looking for this moments and the peacefull ones.
Masai Mara was the REAL safari, and doing our first safari of life here with Karanja was really amazing and believe me, National Geographic is wonderfull but this is awsome.
First you decide what you want to see and for how long and Karanja look for it. We have seen cheetah, leopard, elephants, buffalos, lion, lioness, giraffes, zebras, rhinos, crocodiles, bushbuck, gazelles...
Karanja took us to a places where nobodys was and we've seen dozens of elephants, lionesses, and beautifuls and rares antelops in a absolute silence. And that part was perfect to us because so much people and so much cars around you is a litle bit annoying (second week of July is very crowdy because of the wildbeests imigration, but - for us - is the best time to do safaris: all the animals are starving and ready to kill to eat).
Karanja is a very good professional safari guide because he respect all the nature and the animals around you. You feel that you are in a sanctuary very well protected and you feel that all animals matters, not only the big 5.
It was a dream and a privilege to be in Kenya with Features Africa Journeys and we certainly come back soon to see others nationals parks with this amazing tour operator.

Honest & Professional Group of People
Me and my fiancé took a 4 day trip to Masai Mara with Features Africa. It was the best travel experience we ever had in our lives. They have delivered an exceptional service of hospitality from the beginning untill the end of our trip in Kenya. Everything they did for our comfort was above and beyond of our imagination. They even upgraded our hotels/room types, provided beverages in our safari vehicle with no cost and added extra stops to our trip at our request without a problem.
Karanja was extremely helpful before and during the trip, while our guide/driver Anthony was a true professional in his field of work and provided the best opportunities to get close to the animals without being disrespectful to the way of life in the park.
Our trip to Kenya wouldn't have been the same without Features Africa. We would definitely recommend them to any travelers who would require a local help while in Kenya.

Fantastic safari
Communication on email before booking, regarding parks, camps etc. was very good.
Save money and do not have any concerns regarding booking directly with features africa journey - Everything was so good and anything went smooth and as agreed.
Karanja met us at the airport and introduced us for the best safari guide in Africa; Danson. He was such a good driver, and even better guide, and we learned a lot about Africa, the animals, people and culture with more. Danson was joyful and friendly, always with a smile and a good sense of humor. We had such a good time.
Thanks to you all for a fantastic safari from all my family.

Truly Magical
I wasn't holding much hope when we told Karanja and Steve that we'd like to see all Africa Big Five game animals during our trip, but they DELIVERED!
We saw so many animals during our trip. Herds of gazelles, impalas, cape buffaloes, elephants, and many more. Who could even imagine hyenas would be so cute! We were so close to one of them that we were all compelled to jump off (but didn't) the jeep and pet its fluffy fur! The movie Lion King truly did not do them justice. We all laughed when one of the baby elephants mocked charging us and tried to trumpet when its family was crossing the road in front of us. It really took our breath when we witnessed a leopard feeding and a male lion in the bush on the day before we left!
From the first email correspondence to the last day to the airport, Karanja and Steve are genuine and made us feel welcomed and safe. It was truly a privilege to tour Africa safari with them.
If you want to see animals, don't go to the zoo, go to Africa. If you want to experience magical moments, don't go with others, go with Karanja and Steve. I know I would!

Don't miss the services of Features Africa if you are in Kenya
Must stay that i am falling short of words to desribe the amazing experience that the four of us had with Features Africa. Their zeal for delighting customers and providing par excellence service is phenomenal. From the time, i interacted with Karanja for booking over e-mail and then for co-ordination on whatsapp, i could get a clear sense of being in touch with somebody who was thoroughly professional and comprehensive. Things were smooth from the word go from the moment we got picked up from the Nairobi Airport.
Special mention for Nicholas who was our guide cum friend during our 3 days trip to Masai Mara. He is an extremely likeable and polite guy whose huge frame belies the gentleman that he is. With a charming smile that disarmed us from the time he came to pick us up on day 1, he took us on a great safari trip to the open grasslands of Masai Mara where we could spot almost all the animals that the African safaris are famous for. He even went out of his way to take a detour to Lake Naivasha while that was not in our itinerary. Overall for each of the elements of the trip from the itinerary planning to quality of the accomodation at Masai Mara to the food to the covering of the game rides within the park, i would give a definte 10 on 10 to Features Africa and would recommend all to go with them to get an experience & services of a lifetime.

amazing breathtaking experience
The safari tour was absolutely amazing, had no idea that we were going to get so close to the animals and see more than the big five. Our guides were super friendly and had so much knowledge about Kenya. Would definitely recommend!
