Great time with great people
I absolutely loved working with Tony and Tanzania Exclusive Journeys. We had an amazing safari. Our driver Bernad, was awesome and treated us like his family. Everywhere we stayed was enjoyable with good food and fun! People from our lodge in the Serengeti were so much fun and made us feel at home. Our trip to zanzibar was a blast! We had a very nice driver who went out of his way to show us around. We highly recommend Tanzania Exclusive Journeys.

Excellent from start to finish
We had a great safari experience with Tanzania Exclusive Journeys during our 10 days in Tanzania. Our guide, Ian was super patient with us answering all our questions and made sure we felt safe. He knew his way around perfectly well and was able to find us all animals and many species of birds that we asked for and cater to all our requests. The places we stayed and meals they offer were all great.
I would highly recommend Tanzania exclusive Journeys to anyone visiting Tanzania.

Excellent staff, unbelievable porters and help all the way!
I had no idea what to expect when I signed up for this adventure. I have no hesitation in stating that my experience was extremely positive. I always felt like I was in good hands. The guides were highly motivational. On summit day, there were times when I thought I couldn't carry on - I know that the guides' positive attitude and encouraging words kept me going. I couldn't believe the level of orchestration that goes into getting a group to successfully summit. The porters are simply extraordinary. To be able to wake up in the morning, pack up my things and know that I can roll into camp that evening and have everything ready and waiting for me made the whole experience so comfortable. I was elated to be met by my tent person every afternoon. The lead guide, Mrope, was highly skilled at managing our group and he did so with a perfect balance of discipline and humor.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tanzania Exclusive Journeys. The attention to detail was impressive and I felt fully informed from start to finish.

Superb Guides and Porters!!
Wow! I can't say enough about the professional, friendly, and helpful guides and porters at Tanzania Exclusive Journeys! Our private group of 9 climbers took the Rongai route with 4 guides and 35 porters. We trekked 5 days up and 2 down. The whole experience with them gave us confidence and so much joy! 6 of the group made it to Uhuru Peak and the other 3 came down after Gilman's Peak due to altitude sickness. But the guides were amazing at keeping everyone healthy and pumped up to succeed! The chef-prepared meals on the mountain were plentiful and delicious! And they easily accommodated one climber's gluten-free, vegan diet. They even baked a birthday cake and all sang happy birthday to one of the climbers. The porters were fantastic quickly getting camp set up everyday with our gear. I am so thankful for their knowledge, professionalism, and kindness, and I will never forget the week we shared together!

Our Expedition Leader was wonderful!
Everything was fabulous from start to finish. This was our first safari, but our group mates had all previously traveled in Africa with other companies. All reported that this trip was by far their best experience. I will not hesitate to book another Tanzania Exclusive Journeys trip, and I was recommending Tanzania Exclusive Journeys to friends even before we returned home. This was the most amazing, once-in-a-lifetime safari. Our guide's knowledge and ability to help us see and understand animal behavior was extraordinary.

The Most Amazing Trip!
I am short of words on how to describe how spectacular the 7 days at Ngorongoro and Serengeti National park have been. Every detail of this trip was taken care by the amazing Tanzania Exclusive Journeys and we received great support from the entire team right from the beginning till we sat on the plane to fly back home. There was so much attention given to us in terms of our likes, dislikes and truly the staff invested their time in making this trip so personable to us. ABSOLUTELY WORTH THE MONEY!
In booking our trip with Tanzania Exclusive Journeys we could not be more thrilled with not only the amazing time we had but also the attention that we received before the trip even began. Jane was unwavering in the high level of service she offered by answering the many questions we had, offering the best suggestion and solutions for what we wanted to do and any changes we wished to make. We were initially a little apprehensive about being in a truck with our driver/guide for six days but this was totally unfounded. Our driver Peter was incredible, he fit in like part of our family from the beginning and made sure that the trip was not only great for us but also for our two girls. It’s understandable that many families he has done safaris with in the past return time and time again to do it all over again. Peter’s knowledge extends to not only animals and the landscape but also to the country's various tribes, the environment, and the many different social and economic aspects of it – this was imperative in answering all of my list of questions. Overall we were highly impressed with the service we received from Tanzania Exclusive Journeys, the comfort of our vehicle, the standards of accommodation at all lodges/camp sites/etc and most importantly our driver/guide Tom. We will definitely be back at some time in the future and will look towards this company to help us arrange our itinerary – and of course request Peter!

Amazing Experience and an Awesome Guide!
Where to begin. Lets start with the day my sister and I contacted Tanzania Exclusive Journeys and the extremely prompt response from Tony. We explained our dream private safari trip of Tanzania to her and she put together the PERFECT itinerary for us. When we had booked our trip it was February of 2020 and we picked the month of November to travel which gave us lots of time to think of other things we wanted to include and other things we wanted to dismiss. Tony did an excellent job of answering all our many questions and had a few great suggestions we hadn't thought of. As you can imagine traveling during this pandemic was a sincere concern for us but Tanzania Exclusive Journeys has many safety precautions in place and at no time did we feel unsafe or unprotected. Our driver guide Musa was outstanding. From the moment he picked us up at JRO international until the moment we said our farewells 10 days later. His passion for the land and its animals was indeed obvious. One of the outstanding features of booking with Tanzania Exclusive Journeys is the contact you have with your travel expert. Tony checked in with our driver guide frequently to be sure our experience was everything we were hoping for and even when we finished safari and continued on to Zanzibar she was in touch with our pick up personal and spoke to us directly via phone and WhatsApp to be sure we arrived safely and everything was meeting our expectations. That really meant a lot to us because it was just my sister and I and having that check in gave us comfort. If you are considering a trip to beautiful Tanzania then look no further than the outstanding service and personal concern for your dream trip of a lifetime. Outstanding Safari Provider!
I have travelled all around the globe, but had never been to Africa. Friends told us about Tanzania Exclusive Journeys, and their praise was well-deserved. Looking back on it seems like a dream--life changing. Our amazing driver/guide Ian was incredibly knowledgeable and wise. He could be driving while we were looking all around and suddenly stop the truck and say: Did you see that?!? We had seen nothing. He would slowly back up the truck and help us find, for example, a leopard sleeping on a tree branch. This happened repeatedly, although we began to fine tune our gaze. The tented camps (glamps) were terrific. One of my favorite moments was when we were relaxing before dinner, sitting around a campfire with a beverage, while looking back toward our "cabin" a giraffe was strolling through the camp. It underscores how we were so lucky be guests in their environment. Thank you Tanzania Exclusive Journeys for a magnificent exploration and magical experience. Hakuna Matata!
