Emma the great Lion/leopard finder!!!
5/5

We were picked up and greeted warmly by our driver/Safari guide in Kampala and traveled a long 7 hour ride to Murchison park and Emma encouraged us to go into the park that afternoon for our first gaming tour where he was able to find a large lion asleep as well as a leopard with lots of giraffes and other wild life which made the long drive worth while!! Emma was very accommodating and made lots of recommendations and we had a lovely night at the Murchison River lodge with very friendly staff making sure we were safe from the Hippos that came up from the water through the camp. Emma then took us on another early morning drive and we got to see more lions both male and females using his friendly ways with the local park rangers to find out where they had been spotted. He is truly a wise Ugandan guide we would recommend to all as we talked with others that night at the lodge who had not seen what we had seen that day!! Emma was able to get us safely back on our long trek back to Entebbe for our flight out!! Thanks Emma well done!!

Friendly & professional rental 4wd operator, good value, going extra mile to accommodate requests
5/5

I rented a Land Rover with driver for 1 month in May and June 2021; Western Uganda, Eastern Uganda, Kenya.
Individual set-up of the route by me, including off-the-beaten-track destinations. Accommodation booking done by me along the way.
Party of 1 German, 1 Kenyan, and up to 3 Ugandan friends.
Owner/manager Tim was very attentive and provided timely and valuable feedback before the trip, including flexibility in the light of ever changing Covid related rules.
The vehicle (1993 Land Rover, 6 seater incl driver) was reasonably spacious, comfortable, and very reliable; a few technical issues occuring along the route (several 1000 kilometers) were quickly resolved by the knowledgeable driver, accepting a little assistance by my Kenyan companion while we were in Kenya. Expect real go-anywhere 4wd capability and a roof that can be opened for game viewing, but no modern-age luxury like AC or radio. Dysfunctional fuel gauge meant that we refueled more frequently, which was no problem.
No extra costs incurred along the way apart from diesel fuel, and national park fees for the driver (while in Kenya) and the vehicle, and mandatory border-crossing Covid test expenses for the driver.
Driver Ronald, called "Emma", was very professional and doubled as a guide, especially in Uganda where he knew most of the places we visited. Friendly, courteous, very good English, safe driving style, excellent knowledge of the vehicle and how to fix it. I would certainly request to go with him again during my next trip.
After the end of the original 1 month rental and our trip extension by air to the Kenyan coast (the driver drove the car back to Uganda alone), my Ugandan friend had to return home during a newly declared tight lockdown with cessation of all public and most private transport in Uganda. Tim professionally arranged for a transfer from Entebbe airport to my friend's village, going the extra mile to get him home safely. Very good job, other operators may not have been able to accomplish this.
Overall: Professional and friendly operator, good value for money, accommodating individual requests; I would certainly book with them again.

5/5

I had a great time organizing my trip!
Tim was really attentive and reactive to all my concerns and questions.
After a few mail, I really had a perfect tailor made tour matching my budget with all the things I wanted to see, the right accomodation and fun activities.
The trip itself was just breathtaking, everyting went super smooth, we got to see the big fives, but also Gorillas and Chimpaz.
Accomodation were the perfect mixte between experience and comfort with always some extraordinary welcoming.
Our guide (Emma) was not only attentive, forward looking, kind and patient but also and mainly fun and available!
Coudn't have asked for much more!
Unforgettable trip!

Kidepo Valley National Park & Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
5/5

Buffalo Safari Camps were excellent: friendly, flexible and knowledgeable. They tailored the trip to fit exactly what I wanted to do, and offered great advice as to how to plan the trip. The guide was superb: knowing all the right people and the right places to go, taking the time to understand what activities would best match what I was interested in seeing. The trip to Kidepo Valley National Park is amazing: an astonishing, remote, beautiful landscape and they made everything work perfectly.

Incredible especially when the gorilla family come to you by the roadside?
5/5

The whole booking process was very streamlined from regular communications with Dan, to extensive experience and knowledge from Roger our driver / tour guide. The accommodation was great for glamping! The stops numerous if requested the scenery picturesque, with plenty of wildlife and towns to view. Overall a great experience in the beautiful Uganda. The best part was not having to walk far to see the gorillas they came to us!

Top tour - value for money, safe driving and a knowledgeable guide as well.

Just completed a two week safari with Buffalo Safari Camps and wanted to share what a fantastic experience it was. Our guide and driver, Emma, did a fabulous job in taking us on a full circuit of Uganda, while taking account of our interests and needs. We always felt safe with his driving (not something to be taken for granted in Uganda), things ran to time and he provided some great insights during our travels. Buffalo put together a full itinerary for us with all accommodation, meals and activities included. We had specialist guides in each of the parks and other attractions and found the whole experience to be an excellent one. Would definitely recommend their services.

Fantastic experience and excellent guide.
5/5

Our family of 2 adults and 3 children visited Murchison Falls with Buffalo Safari Camps in July. We had a fantastic time. Our guide Emma was extremely knowledgable and friendly and we all really enjoyed his company for the 3 days. We stayed at Murchison Treehouse where the food and accommodation were great. The morning safari drive was the highlight of the trip and we also loved the boat trip and hike up the falls. We booked the trip at short notice with the help of Dan who was quick to respond to our queries. I will definitely recommend Buffalo Safari Camps to friends or family visiting Uganda.

Budget Safari to Murchison Falls
5/5

Buffalo Safari Camps came highly recommended from friends who live in Uganda and used their services. Our experience was top notch from booking, to game drives, visiting the falls all the way thru our return to the airport in Entebbe. Our guide Emma was fun loving and helpful, he made everyone from my wife to out youngest son feel comfortable, safe and excited all at the same time. His knowledge and flexibility made the trip an outstanding - once in a lifetime experience. If you have the opportunity - I highly recommend staying in the park. We stayed at Pakuba Lodge and our travel time was greatly reduced. Tim built an excellent literary for us that hit every highlight in the area in just 3 days. If your looking for a budget friendly family adventure with the feel of a private experience, Buffalo Safari Camps Budget Safari to Murchison Falls is a great choice.
