Excellent choice of itinerary and delivery.....thanks Tim and the team
We'd been thinking about a safari for a while but decided to wait until our daughter was old enough to appreciate it - very glad we did. We spoke to Tim and told him what we'd like to experience and that was all we had to do!!! Tim advised us what, in his opinion, would be the most enjoyable for us and suggested how long we should spend in each destination. It worked out perfectly and each day felt like a new adventure with enough time to chill out but not so much that we felt like we should be doing something. I'd thoroughly recommend Buffalo Safaris to anyone that's thinking of seeing Uganda. Our guide Emmanual was very knowledgable friendly and keen to tell us about his country. Try the pineapples - they are amaaaaazing!!!!!

An epic and circular journey through Uganda
My 18 year old son and I went on a 17-day tailor-made trip with Buffalo Safari Camps, visiting Lake Bunyoni, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Lake Mutanda, Queen Elizabeth Park, Murchison Falls NP, Kidepo Valley and Sipi Falls. We also visited the Ik and Karamoja tribes.
Rogers our guide is well-liked wherever he goes and has a pleasing personality, and most importantly, a good ethical stance in regards to the wildlife. He lingers long enough for you to have great looks and photos, but not so long that the animals are hindered by our presence. He has a lot of knowledge of both the wildlife and finding his way around the crazy, dusty, bumpy and largely unmarked roads. Halfway through our tour we started bush camping, and our cook - David - joined us. Great with flavors, he was also an amiable presence. I think they are both talented, intelligent and right-minded men.
I will be dreaming of giraffes, hippos, elephants and lions for many months to come. And all of the gorgeous people of Uganda.

The guide made us feel extremely comfortable with the entire experience.
Everything was great. The one thing I would say is to have an emergency phone number before the trip starts.

An unforgettable experience
My friend and I did a 1 week safari with Buffalo Safari Camps and we had an amazing time. It was easy to book and all of our emails were answered quickly. They personalized our itinerary for what we were most interested in, including adding a hike to the Ik tribe. We were picked up on time and had no problems with transportation throughout our week. Rogers was our driver/guide and was amazing. He was very knowledgable about the animals and about Uganda in general. He was great at finding animals during our game drives and found the animals we were most interested in. Rogers was well prepared for all of our activities, even getting things the night before so we didn't have to wait in line. I would recommend Buffalo Safari Camps to anyone! We truly had a trip of a lifetime!!

Trip of a lifetime
We went on a bespoke 2 week safari around most of the main points of Uganda. It was arranged extremely well with fantastic communication throughout all of the planning stages. The price was extremely competitive and offered better accommodation lodges than other companies who were charging more. We always felt safe and all of our needs were attended to. Our driver Aire (elephant) was amazing and knew exactly where to go to find the best animals, it’s not just about luck. He had great knowledge of the different parks and knew where animals would usually be. Our chef, David, for the camping element was amazing and made better food on a camping stove then o could make in a full kitchen. It was great learning from them about Uganda. It was an amazing experience and I couldn’t have asked for a better safari company.

Unforgettable, great experience
We went on a week tour to Queen Elizabeth and Lake Mburo. It was an unforgettable journey and we enjoyed every minute!
The tours arranged were always well organized, interesting and a good mix. Emma our guide was just perfect. He knows and explained us a lot about culture, animals, plants etc. We can definitely recommend the trip and Buffalo to others.

The best travel experience I had!
I went on the 4 days trip, Queen Elizabeth Park and gorillas tracking, I saw beautiful landscapes and animals, a lot of unforgetable things.
Accomodations and food were very good, and our guide, Sunday, was just great, I thank him again for everything!

Queen Elizabeth Mweya Lodge Trip
I just did a safari to Queen Elizabeth National Park with Buffalo Safari Camps last week. It was one of the best and most relaxing trips I’ve been on in a long time. They arranged everything for us from the rooms to the game drives and boat rides. All we had to do was show up! Our main goal was to see the lions. On our first game drive in the early morning we didn’t see any. Our guide with Buffalo Safari Camps, Emma, said we should try the afternoon since it was colder and rainy. He said because of the weather the lions would be moving. Sure enough when we went on the afternoon game drive we did we saw lions! Their guides were very knowledgeable and were extremely friendly. I have already told people about this company and have already booked other people to use them. If I am ever doing a trip in Uganda they will be the only ones I use!

Amazing scenery and animals
Tim was so easy to work with and easy to communicate. We did a 4 day excursion including a rhino trek, chimpanzee trek, 2 game drives and 2 river cruises. Emma was our driver and guide. He was fantastic. We were able to find lots of animals (lions, giraffe, elephants, hippos, etc...). Absolutely zero stress for the whole trip. Emma took care of everything. Rhino and chimpanzee trek were spectacular to be that close to these amazing creatures. Lodging was such a relaxing part of trip. Amuka Lodge for one night and Bakers Lodge for 3. Bakers lodge was so, so nice. The staff were incredible. Right on the Nile, hippos just in front of our cabin in the water. The food was first rate. All in all a wonderful experience. Tim and his team do it Right!!!

Great experience, we saw loads of animals, but accommodation and food were very average and limited.
Overall I had a nice time and was able to see many of the animals which live in Uganda I thought that the range of activities were great and your guides were very knowledgeable. The campsites were very good and the fact that we did not have to carry tents made things much easier. However, there are a few points of issue which I would like to raise.
Firstly, we were only offered one small bottle of water throughout the entire trip which was not an issue when we were at the campsites, but was an issue during the long journeys. This became such an issue on the first day that after the walk up the waterfall - which was extremely hot and sweaty - one of my friends became ill with dehydration. One bottle of water was not enough to sustain us from 6am through to 7pm when we were served dinner and had access to a Jerry can.
Secondly, there was not enough food. The chefs made delicious food, but there was not enough - one girl in my group did not have lunch on the second day because there was not enough. On trips like this in a group of my size (which was 22), there should be more than enough food. Moreover, we were told on day one that we would not need any money for food as a packed breakfast and lunch would be provided. Instead, however, we stopped at a petrol station after 3 hours of driving and were told to pick up something from the shops. This would have been fine had we been told beforehand, but we were expecting a packed breakfast. Then, lunch was simply a wrap - delicious as it was, that and a banana was not enough to sustain us from midday to 7pm. I expected more in this packed lunch.
And finally, I have never been so frightened in a car before. Our driver drove ridiculously fast over potholes and puddles which was incredibly uncomfortable and nauseating. One of my friends was sick because of his driving. Furthermore, he would chase both animals and children to get them off the roads. This was unnecessary and frightening for us passengers. We would rather have gone slower and taken an hour longer to get to our destination than have to consider the prospect of our driver being imprisoned for manslaughter caused by reckless driving.
I hope that these comments will help you to improve your safari in future.
