Excellent Customized Group Tour with Chimp Trekking and Queen Elizabeth
I had family in town, and Buffalo organized and incredible week in southern Uganda for us. Unfortunately during the trip, our vehicle broke down, but Tim and his staff were so efficient in finding replacements and getting them to us on time that we barely noticed the issue (aside from a visibly different vehicle). I was super impressed with their problem solving efficiencies. In addition, the tour was amazing! We went gorilla trekking, toured Queen Elizabeth, and went chimp trekking. The lodges we stayed at were beautiful and well appointed, and the food was great throughout.

Fantastic self-drive trip in Uganda
Buffalo Safaris exceeded expectations on all fronts. From assistance with acquiring gorilla tracking permits to helping us plan our trip through Uganda Tim and his team were incredibly helpful. The car was great, as was the equipment, and Tim stayed in contact with us during our trip regarding any information we needed, like road conditions etc. We really did have a great time and I would recommend the self-drive option to anyone who enjoys 4x4'ing, camping and the outdoors. Uganda is a special place!

Trip of a lifetime
Everything about the trip was perfect.
From start to finish the trip was exactly what we wanted from our honeymoon. The organisation was seamless in a country that can often frustrate even the most patient. Our guide Kirunda was excellent - friendly and knowledgeable, but allowed us our space when needed.
The tour exceeded our expectations and we couldn't recommend Uganda and Buffalo Safari Camps highly enough.

Beautifully tailor-made and very well organized 12 day trip throughout Western Uganda
My mom came to visit and I wanted to be able to spend our time together exploring the beauty and abundant wildlife of Uganda without stressing about logistics. Tim built a wonderful itinerary combining our desires for wildlife and culture. Our guide/driver Roger was so knowledgeable and kind throughout the entire trip and our Chef David amazed us with excellent food suited for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. We could not have been happier with our experience with Buffalo Safari Camps.

Tim did a great job helping us develop an itinerary that matched our interests and budget.
We loved our safari. The animals were amazing. We saw lions, giraffe, cape buffalo, Nile crocodiles, baboons, monkeys galore, chimpanzee, hippos, rhino, elephant, water buck, antelope of all kinds, guinea fowl, warthogs and more birds that I can even name. The price was affordable. The accommodations far exceeded our expectations - absolutely loved all of the lodges. I think Murchison Falls was our favorite park. Listening to the animals at night was an unbeatable experience. It was the perfect combination of wilderness and comfort. Our guide, Emma, was an exceedingly good driver. I am certain we wouldn't have seen half the animals we did without his expertise. Would definitely do it again!!!!

Great value
I travelled to Uganda end of November 2017 with my mom and we met a friend who was doing charity work in Kampala.
Tim was very professional when I contacted him for a quote. He redid the quote several times to meet my criterias (budget and activity wise).
The trip was awesome. He managed to fit all I wanted to do in an 8 day trip (Bwindi/gorillas, chimps, Queen Elizabeth and Murchinson). It was intense but completely worth it and amazing. Uganda is a very pretty country - but do NOT expect good roads ^^ - and we saw amazing things all along the trip. It was our first time in Africa, and we were definitely wooed! Our driver, Emmanuel, was both super nice, very knowledgeable and helpful. It was a very nice trip. Definitely recommend the company.

A magical stunning experience in Kidepo.
I travelled with Buffalo and another company while in Uganda recently. Buffalo was outstanding and professional from beginning to end. Buffalo were flexible and accommodating and went out of their way to ensure a fabulous trip. They are very efficient with replying to emails and the entire booking process was very easy. I did the 5 day trip to Kidepo and it was absolutely stunning, words cannot describe how amazing Kidepo is. The food and the driving was excellent as was the knowledge and friendliness of the crew. This was the perfect end to my Ugandan adventure.
I would recommend Buffalo without hesitation. I will certainly travel with them again. They are the best.

They can handle any challenges
I had a wonderful time with Buffalo Safari Camps on a private trip to Kidepo. Rodgers (the driver/guide) and David (the cook) have great personalities and many stories and we had lively discussions which I thoroughly enjoyed. David is an excellent cook, and Rodgers a knowledgeable guide and highly experienced driver (a true Kidepo expert). My communications with the office were always promptly replied, and Tim helped me choose an itinerary that was best suited to me.
My trip was not without complications (including getting stuck in the mud, encountering a flooded road [becuase it was raining in Kenya, we were told], and two car breakdowns). NONE of the issues we had were caused in any way by the staff, nor the quality of their equipment/vehicle (the breakdowns were a consequence of the extremely bad roads which we were forced to travel for hundreds of km because of the flooded out road). The staff handled all of our problems extremely professionally. We all kept our spirits up, and ultimately made it to Kidepo and had a great time. I'm sure my safari ended up going over-budget because of the added fuel (due to re-routing around the flooded road), and extra food/accommodations in town, and ultimately an extra vehicle, but Buffalo Safari Camps did not even mention this as an issue.
I would highly recommend Buffalo Safari Camps to my family/friends. Not only do they provide high-quality service for a budget price, but also with them, you can rest assured that if anything goes wrong, they will know how to deal with it and you will be well taken care of!

Excellent Budget Option
I've lived in Uganda for years and have taken visitors on safari multiple times, through multiple tour operators. Buffalo has been the best option I've come across. It was very well organized, the staff were patient with our many bank transfer issues, and the hostels/lodges they partner with are excellent.
We enjoyed our driver, Emma, and were really appreciative of his expertise regarding timing in order to get the best chances to see animals during the actual safaris. A great experience overall! Will definitely be back when I have visitors in town, or simply need a break from Kampala.

Good and well arranged 3 day safari to Murchison
We went with four people on a three day safari to Murchison falls with Buffalo safari's. The communication with Tim and the office staff beforehand was both very clear and informative. They thought along with us regarding the budget as well as the activities we could do during the safari.
The safari itself was arranged perfectly. We had a pick up at a location in Jinja we chose ourselves exactly on time and from there on our guide (Rogers) could not have been more helpful and informative. Rogers speaks about 10 local Ugandan languages which is very usefull (espacially when going up north), and knows a lot about all the animals and the history of the park. Any communication with Rogers while in the park as well as with Tim back in Jinja, is easy and again very clear.
We saw a lot of beautiful animals and we were able to fully enjoy the beauty at and around Muchison.
All in all, a great experience. I would recommend Buffalo Safaris to anyone.
Cheers!
